Joe is so cute and funny 😄, sometimes he's just looking into the camera saying nothing at all, and sometimes he's Prince charming. 🤩😁 I really miss that other little sweet smiling guy riding the bike- and playing with Parker... Thank you for another great video! ❤
I think y’all did a fabulous job sheering those sheep. Re: Sarah, Tina you her mama!! She was kissing you. She will be such a wonderful milker for you in time.
Georgia has huge skeeters. We call them 747s. I think the state "bird" of Alaska may be the mosquito. LMBO. Stay safe and use plenty of mosquito repellent. Love to all and God bless.
Seeing Sarah with you reminds me of John 10:27-28 “27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” And, Congratulations to you on the new tractor!
Sarah is just the sweetest, and, cutest little lamb! I just cant figure out how Mosquito's survive the Alaskan winters! Look'in good on the horse, Parker!
Sarah is the sweetest. I think you should have named her momma Jezebel instead of Esther. She is mean to reject sweet Sarah, but she has a loving family to take care of her.
save the wool that is under the Sheep's belly, let it ferment in a tote, in the open elements. when it smells really bad, it's ready for your garden! free fertilizer!
Ah, the curtains to conceal what you think best out of sight is perfect! I have always had and have in my functional kitchen… my home is close to three hundred years old!!!
Oh Susan!🥺 I am so sorry for your diagnosis. I will absolutely pray for you sweet friend. Try to stay positive…don’t give up hope. Hang in there & know that we’re praying!❤️❤️
I been thinking about say y'all need a tractor since the moment you got to Alaska and started building the homestead!!!! So congrats everybody "Joe" on the new tractor brother have fun on her and be safe everybody!!!!
Tina put some sheep hair out for the birds to take for nests you could save some for them for the winter for that. Love the new tractor..game changer for sure. Great job shearing sheep and milking. U are impressive Tina.. your building a wonderful homestead!
Tina, a natural mosquito repellent that has been tested to be as effective as deet is BEAUTY BERRY PLANT, some people make it & sell it on etsy. 😉 Love the update, ya'll are doing such a nice job with all you do on your homestead, thank you for sharing your life with us! And a beautiful tractor Joe! 🥰
@@HomeFreeAlaska *It's also called AMERICAN BEAUTYBERRY. The leaves of Beautyberry contain the compounds that have pest-deterring properties. Fire ants, ticks, deer flies & mosquitoes are repelled by the plant compounds callicarpenal & intermedeol. 🌿🍇
What an amazing week you all have had! I couldn't stop laughing at the end when Joe was on the milk stand. You 2 are a hoot! I hope Parker enjoys his riding lessons. He seemed really comfortable. Sara! My goodness, I want to play with her. She is simply joyful.
We get horrible mosquitoes in L.A. I use a natural oil of lemon and eucalyptus that I buy from Amazon. It doesn't smell awful to humans but evidently, the dreaded mosquitoes hate it. It's not perfect, but it does help.
Oh my goodness - little Miss Sarah is wonderfully spoiled❤️😊👍I just love how she cuddles😊❤️My admiration is always high for you and Joe, and then you do something like you did today shearing your sheep and all I can say is WOW‼️ ALL the skills and knowledge you, Joe ,and Parker too has is AMAZING‼️Thank you for sharing that process with us- I had never seen it done before and I remain in awe of all of you‼️👍😊And then you shared the whole process of milking the sheep - wow‼️And then, after all that hard work you made a masterpiece of a pizza‼️ You must fall into bed every night - exhausted‼️This was an incredible video and you 3 are incredible people‼️ Thank you for all the work you did to make the video and share it with us‼️ ❤️💙💙
Big 👍🏻. Nice tractor Joe😂 If you get a rotor tiller for the back it does a great job on the garden . It realy bust up those clods , makes that soil so nice and loose . Makes it easy to plant and the plants love it. 👍🏻💛🙏🏻
😂😂,loved your vlog as always, great content, Joe is so funny, love watching the dogs, they are just amazing. Joe loves his new tractor, like a kid with a new toy, it won’t be long before Parker will be driving it too. Lovely to see Parker horse riding. Xx❤😊
You have such a beautiful life your building up there I'm jelly lol. The sheep look great glad Sara has joined the family with your help. Great looking tractor I understand why Joe is happy about it. Can't wait for the future videos. God bless you all
I bought 18 tons of gravel two times for the cost of 900 dollars. Then I was messing around in my creek and found it was sand and gravel. I made a way down into the creek and stock pile the gravel now close to the creek. The rain washes away the sand and I use the gravel all the time now. I could not have done this without my tractor and the loader of course. There is just no end to the way you can save money with. Tractor. Good luck.
Omg Joe laughing!!!! I love it!!! Tina, girl you rock! You can do so many things. I loved watching you make the pizza while Joe builds the pantry! Total teamwork in so many ways! ❤
Hey guys. A great video as always. Late watching this week, as my lovely dad passed away and we laid him to rest this week, so it’s been a very hard time for me. I’m heartbroken. I should have watched this much earlier than I did because as usual it lifted me spirits and made me smile for a while.Tina, I adore how you, Joe and Parker have so much love for life and in everything you do, it truely does give me hope. Thankyou for sharing! Stay safe! 🙏🏼🥰 Angela England, uk.
@@HomeFreeAlaska Thankyou so much. I’ve never felt pain in my heart like I’m feeling right now. My lovely sweet dad. Thankyou for your reply, it means a lot xox
We were very happy to see Joe's choice of tractors. Go Deere! Great choice Joe! My husband has been looking at back blades now ever since watching your video. 😊
Can’t say I envy your shearing the sheep. But well done. I told you. You needed a tractor. You have already seen how useful it is. You just need a couple more attachments now. You know a snow blower, a crapple for all the fallen trees, and maybe a flail mower to clear the brush on the rest of your property. One other thought about the tractor. You might find a man with a boat to take it to your other property. Think what you could do up there. That pizza at made my mouth water. Later
Joe, you keep doing what you're doing. Don't let anyone stop you. You're doing great. My wife calls my tractor, my "Tonka Toy". And I use it constantly. We have a small place, only 6.06 acres, but it comes in handy. I'm right there with you.
If you put some dish soap in with the water standing water, it makes the mosquitoes eggs, not hatch so I put a couple of squirts in a barrel and it doesn’t seem to hurt the bird or anything else
Thanks Tina and Joe, my husband has watched so many videos on John Deere tractors today, I’ve become an expert on them lol. He would like for Joe to do a review on your tractor. That would be a good video for all those interested in it. Another great video.
ya know joe was happy to have the tractor he was moving snow for gods sake, thats all he could find to do, anything to play with it, he will find there is lots he can do with it now, just hope he doesnt try to get to the cabin with it tina!! next is a garage to keep it in
I love watching your beautiful homestead. YESSSS, Joe and Tina a tractor best choice, even a John Deere. So now Joe can build a scaffold to put on the forks, as high as he wants, Tina you can lift him anywhere to do his high projects on a platform, so he’s not building off those tippy ladders.
Thrilled for all the Watsons!! Not sure if this happens to anyone else but our Pups hear the Home Free Alaska theme song and run to the TV to watch! They love all the animals ❤
Get yourself a snowblower for the tractor. It will be a game changer. The snow doesn't have a chance to close in on you. Your lot will be the same size all winter. Another great episode.
I sound like a broken record, but my goodness this is another awesome video! Everything about it I absolutely enjoyed! Miss the days my daughter used to ride. So happy you all got a tracker, my granddaddy had one on his 60 acres wasn’t sure how you would’ve gotten along without one. How fun 🤩👍🏻
For where you live, there's another implement that would work great for the snow. Yes, you can clear your roads and paths with the bucket, but a push blade for the tractor will work so much better that the UTV and even the bucket. Esp if you have he function to turn it left and right.
Tina, jusy a homesteader tip. If your giubg to shave in the stantion, shave from belly to backbone. This will cut the hair upwards, gives you longer coat cuts, and it makes it easier to shave.
The ending!!! So funny. Joe, my husband wanted to buy a John Deere tractor for a few years before I agreed with him. I just didn’t think we needed one. We were killing ourselves with work on our property but I was stubborn.. Well, big surprise, I loved it and we saved our backs for many years having it. My husband was out there washing and waxing it all the time also. Stone walls were built using our John Deere, trees planted, pulled up stumps, dug holes, on and on. It sure was worth the investment. You take such good care of your animals. Love to watch the lambs playing, so cute. Your green house will be so nice this summer but this pantry is looking great. Tina, you are such a great cook. Your pizza looks amazing. 😃 I would like to know what is the brand of your Grain Mill? I have been looking for one and have no idea which one to buy. I don’t want to make a mistake.
Such nice wool! Wash some of it in really hot, soapy water and then rinse. Make balls with it. Once they are dry and shrink up, you can use them in the dryer to pick up lint from the clothes!
The sheep look so much smaller w/out all their wool. I hope they don't get cold and bitten up by bugs. I'm in N MI and we still cannot call it Spring. 39 degrees right now. I just love little Sarah!
Love the cupboard and I'm sure you do a couple of hundred times more! LOL More space is such a wonderful thing when it's in short supply. A little at a time will get you there...
Learned something new the other day mosquitoes don't like the smell of Irish springs bar soap just use your spreader/grader from the kitchen and keep it beside you setting outside.
I love watching your videos. I called my husband Joe just the other day while we were doing projects. I needed conversation but he was working hard and quiet! Tip on the freeze dryer- consider that it has a drain hose that will need to be angled down for proper drainage. That will be difficult if it is sitting on the floor. Also the pump (and freeze dryer) will likely get too warm in that enclosed space and you will get the "room too warm" warning. It does generate quite a bit of heat. Just some things to consider. With that said, the pantry is looking great! Can't wait to see it done. Blessings to your family for the week ahead. May you have good weather and accomplish much!
Parker did a great job, with his horse back lesson, such a good sweet boy, I think he liked it mama! Way to go Parker. Tina as usual a laugh a minute with your faces, and your great humor, you are one of a kind, sweet girl. Joe is lovng his new toy, boys and their toys. Love sweet little Sara. Keep up the great videos Tina, ignore the ignorant comments, theres always going to be thoses. There's is nothing this trio cannot do.
Good for y'all...a homestead does need a tractor. Now Joe will not have to use his truck for plowing the snow. Sarah is doing so good, thanks to her human Mom, family and Vet. So glad Naomi has taken her in. They all look so good after their hair cuts. God Bless and stay safe. 😊
LOVE THE JD . She thinks my tractor sexy . Lol sorry had to . I’m really missing my bottle lambs n sheep . Thank you for sharing hun . GODBLESS YOU ALL ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello everyone👋👋👋. Parker looks great on that horse. He takes direction well👍. That tractor is a game changer. Joe looks pretty handsome on it also✌️. Nothing will stop you guys now. Good luck. I look forward to following along with you. Take care❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
I love ❤️ the way you explain how you do your lambs. You and Joe are such a great team . I'm glad your son is doing horse riding lessons. If he likes it that, much will you get him a horse one day ? I love all the things your doing on your land great job . Have a blessed week!
You all are an amazing family! I will never have farm animals, but I love learning about them and their environment. You are also a very hardworking family, which I truly admire. And Joe, is one talented and hardworking guy. He amazes me, on what he creates. God Bless all of you! Love Sarah and how attached she is to you.❤
I always wondered when a tractor or skid steer might appear. A snowblower and grapple will make that JD perfect for the property. I have a 4066 and it makes life so much nicer.
Kind of a shame that Elizabeth doesn't get to play with Peter, Ruth and Sara. Did I get the names right? Congrats on the new tractor. Good luck to Parker on his new adventure riding horses.
Oh my gosh, the pizza looks amazing!! Do you deliver? Loved seeing Joe on his new tracker - What a great help it will be for you with so many things to do on the homestead. Parker - loved watching you give Gunner and Bradley a ride in the tracker, they loved it I'm sure. . Tina, you are such a gift to all of us with your love of your family and the Lord. I always feel renewed after watching your videos. And make no mistake....Joe is rocking the sun tanning on the tracker!! Love you all and have a great week.
Hi Tina. May I share with you with what we do with our chicks when they're ready to venture out? We lift the brooder box with some bricks to let them run in and out to their safe place if the big girls are picking on them. It works great! We put a low perch in their brooder which they love and they perch up at night. ❤ Hugs

Kellum, we still pray for you!
Amen!❤️❤️
I sound like a broken record, but my goodness this is another awesome video! Everything about it I absolutely enjoyed! Miss the days my daughter used to ride. So happy you all got a tracker, my granddaddy had one on his 60 acres wasn’t sure how you would’ve gotten along without one. How fun 🤩👍🏻
Thank you!!☺️
For where you live, there's another implement that would work great for the snow. Yes, you can clear your roads and paths with the bucket, but a push blade for the tractor will work so much better that the UTV and even the bucket. Esp if you have he function to turn it left and right.
The animas look great. Joe did a good job.
Love to see Joe laugh!
Me too!!☺️
Swesome bideo!!! 🥶🎶❤️🎶🌻🎶🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🏡
Thank you!
Tina, jusy a homesteader tip.
If your giubg to shave in the stantion, shave from belly to backbone. This will cut the hair upwards, gives you longer coat cuts, and it makes it easier to shave.
Thanks Jen! We’ll give this a try next year!☺️
i know what you can do about the sheep wool you could make Joe a pair of shorts
Haha! Warm, wool Alaskan shorts!🤣
Joe needed that tractor! Enjoy it Joe I also have a Deere. Great tractors.
You guys are awesome. I love how you explain your homesteading skills. I so enjoy your videos. ❤
Thanks so much!😊
Another wonderful video👍 Can’t get enough of you guys🤎
You're the best!🫶🏻
Trartor is big game changer....
For sure!😊
I would like to know what is the brand of your Grain Mill? I have been looking for one and have no idea which one to buy. I don’t want to make a mistake.
Hey Teresa! I have a Komo grain mill but the Nutrimill is a good one too. I linked another one that I’ve heard is good in my video description!😊
Congratulations on your first John Deere!
Thank you!
Love the cupboard and I'm sure you do a couple of hundred times more! LOL More space is such a wonderful thing when it's in short supply. A little at a time will get you there...
Such a cute lil video!!! Warm fuzzies and so glad y’all got a tractor! It’s a game changer. My family are almond farmers in California:)
That is awesome!😊
Ok JOE just CRACKED ME UP! 😂😂 “oh, I thought you said B HOLE “…. It is natural 😂
He’s so gross hahaha!🤣
@@HomeFreeAlaska had to watch it again 😂😂 I LOVE IT 😂
Learned something new the other day mosquitoes don't like the smell of Irish springs bar soap just use your spreader/grader from the kitchen and keep it beside you setting outside.
Great tip!
Our plan was to run the drain and pump in the crawl space where it’s cool and the vacuum pump wouldn’t be so loud.
Beckie, your beautiful comment brought tears to my eyes. What an loving Home Free Alaska community.
Thanks Beckie!!😘
Thank you!😊
I love ❤️ the way you explain how you do your lambs. You and Joe are such a great team . I'm glad your son is doing horse riding lessons. If he likes it that, much will you get him a horse one day ? I love all the things your doing on your land great job . Have a blessed week!
Thank you so much! I’m not sure. I would live a little pony for Parker. But horses are a big responsibility so I’m not sure.❤️
@HomeFreeAlaska Well, he is doing a great
Hes doing a great job at riding ,I understand horses are a lot of money and time to keep up with .
I was an accountant for a John Deere dealership .. ❤Enjoy it !! Nothing like runs like a Deere!!
We are a three Deere mower family!
It's about time you guys got a tractor. You definitely
Need one in alaska. I'd lost without mine
For sure. We’re so excited!
You all are an amazing family! I will never have farm animals, but I love learning about them and their environment. You are also a very hardworking family, which I truly admire. And Joe, is one talented and hardworking guy. He amazes me, on what he creates. God Bless all of you! Love Sarah and how attached she is to you.❤
Thank you so much!❤️❤️
I always wondered when a tractor or skid steer might appear. A snowblower and grapple will make that JD perfect for the property. I have a 4066 and it makes life so much nicer.
Absolutely!
Kind of a shame that Elizabeth doesn't get to play with Peter, Ruth and Sara. Did I get the names right? Congrats on the new tractor. Good luck to Parker on his new adventure riding horses.
You did! You got all of their names right!😊
Oh my gosh, the pizza looks amazing!!
I love your comment! Took the words out of my mouth. Have a blessed week too!
Haha! Thanks friend!🤣
Hi Tina. May I share with you with what we do with our chicks when they're ready to venture out? We lift the brooder box with some bricks to let them run in and out to their safe place if the big girls are picking on them. It works great! We put a low perch in their brooder which they love and they perch up at night. ❤ Hugs
That's a great idea!😊
