I find it funny that I’m an Aviation enthusiast, yet I’m just deeply satisfied by the sound of train horns and how these things glide down their own rails of success.
With these you bring me back home. I lived in Orange county from 1960 to 1993. In 1952 I rode the Coast from L A to San Diego, complements of the Marine Corps.
I’m warming up more and more to the new chargers, especially their horns, but I just wish they looked a little more interesting. From the side they look unique but straight on they look too bleh. And their led lights are very functional but don’t strike me like a p42s or cab cars flashing ditch lights do. Especially when their relay resets and the ditch lights flash too fast, it’s too digital looking.
Great video! Although I do miss the F59PHI's, the SC-44s have grown on me and are quite sleek looking! But what bothers me is the arrangement of the coaches cause my gosh, the gray superliner being in the 2nd does throw me off haha
Thanks! Yeah the nursery is somewhere you don’t wanna stay too long. Especially after 4 PM when they close. The owners of the property live right at the beginning of the trail, and see every car that goes there. I know of at least 3 people that have been kicked out of there, but they were probably there a long time and Weren’t keeping it low-key. I’m not sure though..
Technically for their customers, yes. I mean, if there is one or two train enthusiasts there for a short time, no big deal. It would be concerning if big groups of train people showed up there to watch trains, and took up all of their parking, that could be an issue. There are also lots of homeless people near the tracks at that spot too.
They don't have enough of the Cal cars so they bought some older long distance stuff for the trains and use those to help with capacity. Plus people who buy business class like the bigger seats the long distance cars offer so they usually put them as the 2 car because 1-2 are business class.
Spencer Hughes 2255 I know you like trains, I think it should be a good idea that you should create a second TH-cam channel featuring all of your train videos. While you can probably have this channel, to be just about airplanes
I understand your point of view and appreciate your input, but I've been running this channel for 13 years. This is the only form of internet/social media where I post my train videos. I already have so many train followers here that it would make no sense to start all over with a new channel and reset my subs & views...
I really enjoy your videos, but I have to ask one question: Do all crossings in CA continually ring the bells? I was an engineer for 18 years and that has got to be the most annoying sound. Nothing bad about your videos, but I was just wondering about the crossing bells. That's all. Keep up the great work on these train videos.
@@ryankiser294 Yes, that's what I'm talking about. I realize every crossing is different, and I'm not trying to put them down. I really enjoy these videos.
@@GamingRailfanner I know that. I was just wondering about the continual ringing of the bells. Here in TN, after the bars have dropped down, the bells quit. I was just wondering if it was just a CA thing?? Thanks for the answer.

3:45 CDTX 2118’s horn sounds like it needs a replacement, because it’s already becoming sick.
Its Just A Reverb, It Happens In Large Areas
@@natesmainlinevids Yes It Does
I think the horn is still good and weird at the same time
I felt so better because I like the SC 44 Chargers better than F59s.
6:33 that K5LA is beautiful! Just like your content! 😉

I agree but the new ones are still pretty cool

Awesome video, brings back some good memories of my first job at a railway.
Does anyone love the new Amtrak trains which are just like the old ones
These SC-44 chargers are way different from the F59PHI’s
Awesome video!
R.I.P Amtrak F59PHI
They still exist.
OK I hate to tell you l wish the surfliner trains are more longer like 52 coaches
52?? That’s very, very long most long distance trains aren’t even that long!

San Juan Capistrano. It’s private property, and not a place you want to stay too long.

Well yeah they have been replaced with the new SC-44 Chargers built by Siemens.
