I "Just Love" watching these trains every Morning while at an LA/OC boarder while I train my dogs!
I count Passengers' Heads in these cars! In a Speed restriction zone! Almost ALLWAYS "Almost Empty!"
Knowing a Thing or two about light rail and costs with fuel. track maintenance, right of ways, Fuel, engine maintenance, administration, and such?
I figure it would be cheaper and Better Environmentally FOR all of U.S. if every regular Passenger on this Train received a Private Helicopter Ride!

Immer wieder gern gesehen, interessante Züge, Bundestaaten, die wissen wie Eisenbahn geht. In Deutschland wurde die Bahn an die Wand gefahren.
Eigentlich falsch die Bahn hat natürlich ihre Fehler und die Preise sind einfach nur unverschämt aber in den USA wird nur der kleinste Teil mit dem Zug zurückgelegt und die vorhandene Infrastruktur ist nur minimal elektrifiziert die meisten doppelstock Personenzüge die du hier siehst sollten langstreckenzüge sein und hauptsächlich fahren frachtzüge weil sich das einfach mehr rentiert in den usa. Aber es wird momentan tatsächlich viel geplant auszubauen auf elektro und mehr hochgeschwindigkeit

Great video of Amtrak's Pacific Surfliners in Orange County. I will be riding to Oxnard on 5/27/2017 on the Pacific Surfliner to visit for the day & will return to San Diego on the Pacific Surfliner the same day. I will be riding the Pacific Surfliners more often between San Diego, Los Angeles & Oxnard when I make trips home to the San Diego area. Unfortunately between Loser City Tucson & Los Angeles here is only the Tri weekly Sunset Limited and no straight direct service into San Diego. If we had a high speed passenger train network like Japan, I would be making trips 8 times a year to the San Diego area. I travel long distance by Amtrak and will also be traveling Amtrak more often in the future.

All these trains have unusual things like for the surfliner there are horizon sets and some of the trains have locomotives on either side and 1 is pulling another surfliner it’s nice tho

I'm told those lights indicate red when the train brakes on the car activate. I've also read that they're connected to the locks on the doors (green: locked). Most say the former and this video supports the brakes activation. I don't see the value in it.

Passenger locomotives still have a lot of horsepower so why do you often see multiple locomotives on short trains?
Maybe at times, there are probably some hills that single locomotive trains might lose momentum on, and stall. I don't know too much about trains, but this is one theory.
Because it's a way of delivering them to and for another location.

i know im literally like 4 years late, but i wanna know: why were the cabbage cars always connected to horizon cars and the locomotives always had an amfleet. for example 7:05 and 13:00
It’s like on the San Joaquins route where there is only one Horizon car, and the rest are Superliners. I don’t know the real cause, but my guess is that it is meant for important people; etc.
@@thatonefresnorailfan No, apparently for the San Joaquin it’s so that the crossings can activate on time. They add to extra cars so that then sensor can go off correctly.
