One of the concerns I'd have purchasing
a property in Ukraine is that, if I'm not mistaken Ukraine only banned asbestos in 2017.
It'd be interesting to know what asbestos removal services are available in rural areas (given incorrect removal can cause more problems than just leaving things as they are)
Also approx cost for removing for example old roof tiles safely and replacing them with newer/safer materials.
I'd imagine if you invested $4K on a village property you'd likely need to spend another $4k to bring it up to spec.
Also, my reason for purchasing would be to work from home (the village property) , which would require fast Internet connection so it'd be interesting to know what broadband services/speeds are available in rural locations.
Anyways don't think other YTubers have covered these points so maybe they'd be interesting videos for you to make and your viewers to watch.

Regarding asbestos removal, noody cares much about it at this moment. There are no government programs about it and do not think there will be in the nearest future.
If you will be interested, even I have a roof of my garage with those old asbestos tiles and do not plan to change them in the nearest future.
Fast internet will have to be checked in each particular case as there are many villages with excellent Internet, but not all of them of course.

I follow the day to day war reports showing shelling, mine fields, etc. I wonder if there will be a shortage of land and housing considering people will be justly afraid to live in a big part of the country. It is a very sad situation for Ukrainians.
Well, in fact there is plenty of land and many villages with cheap houses as well as with land for building. It's a big disaster for Ukraine and for Ukrainians, but when the war is over I am sure there will be enough land for everyone.
Problem will be with people who are settling down now in other countries, and these people are mostly those who have money.
2:39 Is the 1% Property Tax one time only when you purchase or is this an annual property tax ?
Btw If it’s one time only, we call that a Land Transfer Tax. Tax that happens every year we call Property Tax.
It is one time only tax, it has no particular name, just a 1% tax to a pension fund when buying or selling property.
When property is sold - seller also pays 1% tax to a pension fund as well as 1% pays the buyer.

Most of such old apartments require maintenance, and many buildings require continuous maintenance.
Veeeeery hard to find a descent apartment that costs around 50K - 60K that will not require either a one time big investment for maintenance or continuous small investments.
