Well at least you didn't forget your poles and bait and any day fishing is a good day.

True but you know David... if I did, fairly sure I'd use a stick if I had lines & a hook. Yeah though forgetting the poles which we haven't done YET. Would be one of the worst. Even forgetting hooks, can make one out of a Can Pull Tab or a Rose Bush Thorn and such....
Sorry was no catches in this one. It is though the 1st video we posted with no fish. We've already filmed the next trip and will start working on that video soon!

Man thanks brother... for real! Funny thing is we knew coming end of this month roughly. Personally love Striper fishing! Ain't gone in a few. Last night Lea said she read they were on the move in the Sac River. So if I may... question.
Ok so the run comes in from the Ocean right? Through the Bays, Into the Delta to some Rivers? So knowing when they run through say Antioch, Rio Vista & Stockton work best for us. By chance you know what months (or less) they run through those areas?
Side note we hope you enjoy the Fishing vids boss!

Varies a little bit each year depending on weather and seasons, but migration patterns were well studied by CA fish & game back in the 50s and still holds true today. Winter time (nov-march) the stripers are gathered around the Antioch(Sacramento river & san Joaquin river)area getting ready to head deeper into the delta for spawning. by April, the bass can be found way deep in the San Joaquin river and far north into the Feather river. They move back down during May/June thru antioch as they migrate towards the bay.
The adult fish mostly are back out into the bay and brackish water by mid summer. Once late Sept/Oct comes around and they migrate through suisun and are in Antioch again by November. The cycle repeats. Hope this helps chart their movement. Tight lines!

@@newbie415 Yeah we'll surely be hanging on to this note! So I started Salmon fishing (and hunting) did so for maybe 3 years hardcore. Always trolling with flashers the CPU monitors (nearly). Hunted for a good 6 years semi solid. Quit everything.
Then me & the wife Lea pick it back up HEAVY the last 4 years running this channel. Now fish many types instead of ONLY Salmon. Surely learning for those fish that have patterns, vs those that don't. So much hassle at times I think, perhaps I should just keep Snow Skiing heh.
But ok we'll try that TO BE SURE! Hats off you. What we had gathered was that Stripers would run through Rio Vista around end of April - October.
Have a feeling your info is more accurate as it's detailed plus the source you mentioned. The 50's update part still has that "noooo" feeling to it. heh
Was always a Hunter over a Fishermen or even a outdoor/indoor hobbyist. Oooo Skiing.... but Striper surely is a type I fishing I enjoy as is Sun fishing (Bluegill, Red Ears). While Lea loves the Trout fishing. Yourself?

@@hershisadventuresincalifor9725 I fished mainly saltwater for a long time, but have been exploring the delta and more species recently. Watching your videos helped put me on the panfish and I've been having a blast fishing for those!

@@newbie415 At a loss for words... thank you! Surely at times when they're feeding and in groups it can be Wild Fire... and there's always that chance to pull up an uncommon or rare bread of them (for Cali). From times... the much larger ones. A meal each at least. If you don't mind... what bait has worked well for Sunfish for you?
Salt water is one thing would love to try! Thou would probably keep it to Pier, Shore & Dock sites in the bay. Can we get Link Cod there? Do hope you're enjoying the videos.... an honor to be sure!
P.S. editing on the next one starts any day. Editing time 7-16 hours per video, over perhaps 3-4 days.
