The best ocean fishing I've ever had was in Tampa Bay off of Westshore Blvd; in a trailer court and the back of it that touch the water. I caught three huge sea trouts within 15 minutes. The best fight any fisherman could ask for. I gave them away to the first couple that I met. Later on I was told I could have gotten big bucks for them at any of the fancy restaurant along the shore. This was back in 1976!
Brant, Great video. I love how simplified you make the presentation and the bait selection. How many of us waste the day by over thinking our presentation, bait selection and location. Great job!
Because he’s so down to Earth. He doesn’t edit out his mistakes, he doesn’t try to sound like he knows everything, and he’s truly having fun and fishing the way fishing is meant to be. Atleast that’s why I love it lol!
Nice job with the reds! That keeper didn't want to be kept. Have a fun and safe trip to the Keys. Will be waiting on your videos in S. Fla. Thanks for sharing
👍 That was a great morning of fishing! I'm glad you had time for it before your trip. Safe travels brother. Looking forward to the videos from your trip. 👍
Never could find out the origin of calling the herons Fred. I was a charter captain out of Destin Florida for over 20 years and and a deckhand for 10 and its always been Fred. Some used to say( back in the 70s), that the name stemmed from Fred Jones, who was one of the old time fishermen in Destin.
What is the running gag here? Did he really do that? I want to see it because the video of him falling down is so funny. And not because I’m a jerk, but because I’ve done the same thing lol!
Great video... always advocating conservation and just plain common sense, which, unfortunately, ain't too common anymore... well done! I'm an Alafia River Rat, born and raised on Tampa Bay... 64 years...
Come on, man! I'm struggling to hook my first redfish and you're over here dropping keepers! Great video as always, looking forward to seeing the next few!
Awesome video, love that early morning bite.😎 Don't forget to stretch your calves out before you do all that running to the rods... Can't have you hurt before the keys trip🤦😅👍
Great video & presentation! I'm currently trying to get back into fishing after almost a decade with far & in-between fishing trips (career & health). This video has increased my "fishing fever" ! Hopefully my luck will be half as good as yours! Lol
I really appreciate your tips ,as in how to catch your own bait and little things like fish names and sizes for legal purposes and really do enjoy it when you use your fish camera thank you and best of luck.
Fred is your good luck charm. And now he's laughing at you. Making your dinner before you get the fish in the cooler. I understand the McFish is being sold in McDonald's. Lol
Would be cool to see you stop somewhere from Sarasota/Bradenton down to Englewood/Boca area. Some cobia and kings are around Venice jetties, someone caught a 40"+ barracuda two weeks ago aswell. Always giant snook around. Tarpon all through the area, especially down near Englewood and Boca beaches. I know Englewood may not be the most known, but theres some solid captains around too and Im sure youd have a great time offshore! You got plans to go out with StanzFam like Brad did? Either way thisll be a cool trip! Making mine early next year in our 'winter'!
Ill be beach fishing for the 1st time in my life in a few short days! Im stoked.Itll be Gulf Shores area. Any tips? I know my set up will likely be a tad light. My only real concern is the short rods. 8'2 is my longest rod. I wanna catch anything. pompano to sharks. No preference at all right now, What would be your go to set up to just catch anything at all.
BRO you SO gotta stop in the Palm Beaches and do a segment on your way down to the Keys we've got ALL THAT AND MORE when it comes to fishing COME ON DOWN!!
Scissors and trim a tail lol. I’ve seen it done but I’ve never done it myself. I told the fellow on the state park pier he was gonna get his ass dusted if they caught him trimming tails to keep fish. He already had his one over slot in a cooler.
Holy crap man you caught 3 big mullet in a bait net at your feet almost. That’s worth bragging about up here where I live in Florida where we eat mullet. But then you threw out the head on a hook and got a Bull Red from the bank. That’s impressive.

I'm a 29 year old woman who does not fish. Why do I love this so much 😅😂😅😂😅😂
Because he’s so down to Earth. He doesn’t edit out his mistakes, he doesn’t try to sound like he knows everything, and he’s truly having fun and fishing the way fishing is meant to be. Atleast that’s why I love it lol!
It's because you have an inner urge to take up fishing! 😁
Try once, you will like it.😂
Because I am without you
Because you want to fish. There's nothing wrong with that.
Stop hesitating and go fishing
Great video Brant! Nice catch & release. Lol
Thanks for sharing!
Nice job with the reds! That keeper didn't want to be kept.

Cool video Great day thanks for sharing 😊
That was a very nice morning. Have fun on your trip.
Nice day! You were on them!
Come on, man! I'm struggling to hook my first redfish and you're over here dropping keepers! Great video as always, looking forward to seeing the next few!
That keeper said not today sir!!! Lol he knew you didn't have time to mess with him lol
You are leading a blessed life...hard work pays. Can't wait for the vids
Awesome video, love that early morning bite.😎 Don't forget to stretch your calves out before you do all that running to the rods... Can't have you hurt before the keys trip🤦😅👍

Can’t wait to go on this adventure with you. I know it’s gonna be great.
Love the dialog with Fred 😂.
Absolutely beautiful Brant
Shore fishing is my favorite way to fish. It has it all. Great yin/yang ending! They gotta win too! Nice pad!
Great video Brant those are some nice redfish I almost cried for you and you lost that keeper going home 2 hotdogs is not a very good consolation
Great video & presentation! I'm currently trying to get back into fishing after almost a decade with far & in-between fishing trips (career & health). This video has increased my "fishing fever" ! Hopefully my luck will be half as good as yours! Lol

I saw that coming before you even took him off the hook!! 🤣😂🤣🤣
Great video Brant. Waiting on the next
how fun was that!!! thanks so much!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you for recommending the ninja dagger rods and Penn real combo. Although I did not get them through you I still love them.
you guys should have a shark bait section in your store and call it the “oo-ha-ha” after what brad always calls shark bait 😂😂😂
I hate it when my fish are too big! Great video Brant!
Terrific video. Cant wait to see the keys! Travel safe.
He got away!🤣
It’s not just me😂
Was that "Calf Rip Beach"? That'd be a good name for it! Haha! (Glad you've healed) To me, that is the PERFECT fishin' spot. Absolutely gorgeous!
I really appreciate your tips ,as in how to catch your own bait and little things like fish names and sizes for legal purposes and really do enjoy it when you use your fish camera thank you and best of luck.
Looking forward to the trip, be safe Brother
Fred is your good luck charm.
And now he's laughing at you. Making your dinner before you get the fish in the cooler.
I understand the McFish is being sold in McDonald's. Lol
You must almost double your casting distance with that long wade out! 😊
Brother, You make me want to fish every time I see your videos.
Fred likes to sleep in, he’s smart.’
Haha , the keep became an escaper. 😄

Hey Brant what size egg sinker do you use on your Carolina rigs when you are dong this kind of fishing?
Every red fish strives to pass the 27 inch mark around him
Must be tuff
Haha..that was funny. Great channel, new sub here. Keep on keeping on bro. Great stuff
Nicely done keep what you need release the rest .. Preservation
I'm absolutely convinced you let that first keeper go on purpose. I've never seen someone react so slowly to a fish getting away. lolol
Dang it!!! Thanks for show
When you say somebody , you definitely mean brad lol Freddy in a pinch 😂 for the Fred costume
Nice!!’ Come to Neptune beach (Jax) do some surf fishing 😀
5 stars on the Conservation aspect bro✊🏽. Well done, stay safe out there.
Wow, you are so honest.
How does Fred find him where ever he goes fishing? That’s amazing
I love your ethics with the length
You definitely had a nicer morning that I did. Excellent video, Brant, as they all are. Enjoy your trip and show us lots of fish.
Hey what type of sinkers do you use in the surf? I’m here in pcb and the waves are crazy
Bite is on brant, no need for rod holder😋🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 much luv dude
What type of line do you use for surf fishing
Ill be beach fishing for the 1st time in my life in a few short days! Im stoked.Itll be Gulf Shores area. Any tips? I know my set up will likely be a tad light. My only real concern is the short rods. 8'2 is my longest rod.

Redfish love mud minnows. Flounder too.
That was a honey hole today! Cheers
Great morning of fishing. I have to say that last definitely was a googen moment.
Tuyệt vời 👍👍👍
The few tournaments I've fished always had a category Red With Most Spots.
Hey Brant had to ask if you guys sell salt native casting spoons?
Don't forget to fish the end of the road in Yankeetown, FL 😊
Do you use a leader on that rod set up also what pound test???
Love the vids keep it up
Appreciate it
Awesome.
Lol,when i see that fish swin right back through your hands
I highly recommend putting in a new white PVC fence. That would definitely clean up your backyard.
Cut mullet or whole finger mullet what would you prefer to use if you had a choice
What reel are you using ?
BRO you SO gotta stop in the Palm Beaches and do a segment on your way down to the Keys we've got ALL THAT AND MORE when it comes to fishing COME ON DOWN!!

What dive line you use on and average
Excellent video what camera you use?
Nice bite. Kinda felt like someone didn't wanna clean a fish🤔. Have fun in the keys man!
good brother what system do you use to put the rod in the sand if you could tell me thanks
Wish I knew where you are fishing. Been everywhere I know of, and haven't caught a fish in 3 months. 😢
so if i could recommend something to you.. get ankle bands and attach magnets to them. those 1 sided mags work best, the magnets Repel sharks and Rays
Great vid. Fun spot. Sorry the only thing I think as I watch the first 3 fish pulled up is how annoying the fishing regulations are.
“Impordant” is not a word.
Well I had a fun time fishing on the beach in Pensacola but I didn’t catch any big fish!
"It's a game of inches today"- SOML
( walks up to Brant and hands him a landing net)
Are you fishing the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo this weekend for the Fourth of July. They have it every year great prizes
Holy crap man you caught 3 big mullet in a bait net at your feet almost. That’s worth bragging about up here where I live in Florida where we eat mullet. But then you threw out the head on a hook and got a Bull Red from the bank. That’s impressive.
What size line do you use,on this video let me know i normally use 20lbs is that good or what
All of that fishin you be doing now you have to build a deck for MaMa. She workin it!
youre gonna be close to where i fish at., when you go to naples have fun be safe
What spinner bait should I use on the beach like what color I caught a few fish with a yellow one but I lost it 😂
What is the rod and reel combo?
You buy the Fred costume I will rock it at the store.
I like Fred 😂
