Minerva Tote by Bagstock Designs - Full Tutorial

- In this video, I show you how to sew the Minerva Tote by Bagstock Designs, the February 2024 Bag of the Month Club Pattern, and share some tips and tricks. This pattern is ONLY available in the current Bag of the Month Club season, meaning you need to purchase this season to get this pattern. The Bag of the Month Club link is under where to find the pattern and supplies I use. This tutorial is filmed like a sew along. If you don't want to watch the part where I sew or am doing other things, you can always fast forward or adjust the speed of the video so it is faster. However, there are times I give tips and tricks while sewing. I figured filling in some of those moments with helpful information makes it appealing to watch.
To note: I do not give any measurements, show pattern pieces or use any measuring tools on camera in any tutorials I film. This is for the protection of the pattern/designer and because I often film tutorials during testing, and measurements or other things can change. So, to ensure the tutorials are accurate and match the pattern, this information is not mentioned. You will need to have your pattern open on another device, printed, or open on your computer to follow along with each step and be able to refer to measurements or seam allowances given. If you have the video open on your computer and want the PDF on your computer, you can minimize this TH-cam video and move it to a corner of your screen.

I sewed this on a Juki TL-2200 QVP Mini and used a 100/16 needle. For the exterior, I used quilting cotton and Soft Vinyl, and quilting cotton for the lining. For threads, I used Tex 45 thread. You'll want to use materials, needles and threads that work best for your machine.

Wow! Thank you so so much for your amazing tutorial. I've had this pattern for quite some time now but since I'm a visual learner and have difficulties following written instructions, waited for the right tutorial. I use a key fob press tool to flatten the seams.
That can absolutely work too. I always say hammer because I know almost everyone has one in their home. 😃

What glue do you use when inserting the purse feet? Where did you get that beautiful vinyl? 😍
The vinyl is called Deep Space Soft Vinyl and it's from Sew HungryHippie, www.sewhungryhippie.com 😊
The glue is Beacon 3in1 and I normally purchase it from my local big box fabric store. However, Walmart, Amazon, and some quilt shops also sell it. 😊
Which tape are you using? Mine is not that sticky
