People often check the USCIS website and will have their own opinion about which one they think will benefit them more but it’s not that simple. Join Megan in this video as she breaks down why you can’t just trust the USCIS processing times!

    Thank you so much for this bideo. I do have a question. Is there's a limit for file a k1 visa if previous marriage failed. I did a k1 visa on my ex wife now after 7 yrs marriage. Fast forward, i have a fiance in the same country and I am going to apply for another k1 visa. Is there's going to be a conflict?

  • @DJC1916
    @DJC1916 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So if they're about the same timeline, then it just makes more sense to do the spouse visa. K1 you'd still have to wait another 6 mo or so after arriving in the USA before spouse can get SS# and green card in order to work or open a bank acct.

    #replay I have been warned that once a spouse visa is approved, the foreign spouse goes onto a waiting list for entry into the US, and it could take an additional year (or several years if we are unlucky) before she could actual move here permanently, and that is why a fiance visa is better. Is this true?

    Would it better for her to visit (as she has done previously with a visitors visa), long enough for us to get married, then file for a spouse visa after she returns to Mexico? Or, file for a fiance/fiancee visa and have her wait out the 18 months processing time in Mexico?

    Question: IF I can get her to the states on a tourist visa, should we get married?
    So, I have been dating a Panamanian woman for 5 years. I have personally spent more than 2 months visiting down there. It’s a real relationship that is out of love!
    Also, we don’t want to live here 😆 we want to start life together in Panama. BUT if we are able to get her here on a tourist visa, should I marry her here before we move there?
    I don’t know what would be easiest for her green card in the future. If we get married here or there?

      Interesting scenario. I'm also curious as to the answer. Best of luck, Nick.

    Between the fiancé visa and marriage visa, which has the easiest paper work and process if the emigrant partner has no plans to work, and the two are unable to meet often due to cost, consequently resulting in many voice calls leaving less than desirable amount evidence and proof of love?
    My fiancé and I are long distance and it is difficult to afford visits, consequently most of our shared time is through phone calls through communication apps, which leaves less chance for text based proof of our love and only photos from about once a year (government's covid regulation made things even worse for 3 years). I worry about evidence proving our love when we are apart so much due to cost and this natural preference to hear each other. Perhaps being married for multiple years before we start the process of finally starting my immigration to the US will work in our favour? I have no idea how strict immigration process is with evidence.

      Get married and start the process. If your marriage is real you have no issues
