I Survived Minecraft's Infinite Snapshot
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 10 ก.พ. 2023
- In April 2020 Mojang released the Infinite Dimensions snapshot for Minecraft, which allowed us to explore over 2 BILLION dimensions. Most are chaotic and random, some are filled with TNT and Withers, but there's a question for this - can you beat the game?
I'm going to attempt to take on this dimension, using only random dimensions to explore to collect everything I need to find a stronghold, get to the end, and kill the dragon. This is my Minecraft world record attempt at the infinite multiverse challenge!

I hate it TBH
Funny thing about this: I’m pretty sure this actually has the fastest speedrun time out of all versions
I guess not, because often strongholds or end-portals are destroyed (in this snapshot this happens more often than not). In addition, there is an interesting bug - the portal teleports you not to the central island, but to the coordinates on which it is located. Thus, it is easy to be on the end islands. And if you decide to use the endgate, there is a chance that you will end up in the void☠, because sometimes the obsidian platform does not appear. The author of the video is VERY lucky that he did not encounter this))😎
I even tried to make a video of this speedrun and it took me over 3 hours. On this snapshot speedrun is impossible😄
@@waterblock there’s a specific book you can make that sends you to the end. The speedrun is less than 10 minutes
ayyy thats me 😎
Pretty sure shortest minecraft speedrun based on time only is 10 seconds
@@katekat7804 TAS maybe but not human made
The Library feels like someone could make lore around for a full survival series
I think it's based on the short story The Library of Babel
@Moxole I mean imagine an "SCP Foundation-esque" setting where the Library is the core setting
@@angzarrpsyco basically The Wanderer's Library.
@@nuridenizdurucu1249No, the Wanderer’s Library is not a truly infinite library. It’s true it has infinite shelves and a near-infinite amount of books, but the amount of books in the WL eventually reaches a limit. Meanwhile, the Library of Babel actually has an infinite supply of books, although all of the books are written in gibberish, and it’s shelves reach to infinity. The Library of Babel is the daddy of the Wanderers Library; it’s the real infinite library.
@@nuridenizdurucu1249A modded in version of the Wanderers Library would be incredible… it would be more oriented for informing the player about dimension hopping and providing portals for them to experiment going to different dimensions.
I remember I typed "Shrek" in a book and I got tp'ed to a dimension that was literally just a green sky (I think it changed color to purple at night or something too) and I wasn't able to leave. The game just would not let me go back to the overworld or any other dimensions lol
I know it was just a bug, but the fact I got that bug for the Shrek dimension of all things is what gets me
despite having the portals share walls to save on obsidian, I respect that he placed the corners on all of the portals
PROFESSIONALS HAVE STANDARDS.
@@Legundo some rules are not meant to be broken
@@Legundo I honestly would like to know the name of the jungle dimension, it is very beautiful and more coherent than the others, your video was great
Hands-down one of the most unique survival experiences. This coupled with the 100 days lore means Legs is slowly becoming the most dimension-traveled minecrafter XD
The one block at a time snapshot makes for an incredible run, I'd love to see you do that one! Minecraft 3D is also very fun but it's sadly on a timer
On the list!! :)
@@Legundo Yay!! :D
I started a minecraft server with your dimensional doors pack + origins, my friends love it :)
@@Legundo add snapshot 15wa to the list! And add Minecraft 2.0 Blue too!
@@liliflower1376 gawddamn, the doors pack is such a cool feature, wish it was actually in mc
This entire snapshot reminds me of Myst, an old and great puzzle game series. Using the books to navigate to unknowable worlds, each books having a 'description' of sorts for the world... it's AWESOME! And, with there being literally BILLIONS of worlds, everyone can find that one place they enjoy. I love this.
Also reminds me of the old Minecraft mod Mystcraft that added the myst books to I think 1.6.4 minecraft
This was an awesome feature. Nice idea to go back through those dimensions.
"oa" is a nice desert and frozen ocean dimension. Very scenic and my favorite. Always wished someone would turn the infinite-snapshot into a mod properly (Not a bleh rip-off)
That would be amazing! I can't place on pc anymore so I'm stuck with mobile Bedrock and solely miss these old April Fools versions.
This snapshot is basically a ghetto version of the Mystcraft mod
In the mist mod, could you throw a book in a portal and have it go to a random dimension?
@@FakeGuthix01mystcraft is amazing
I want someone to make a survival game around this concept. A survival game where you have to hop through randomly generated, often unusual dimensions.
Rumour has it, that in one of these infinite worlds, is hidden vertical slabs :P
WE HAVE TO GO BACK
I love how I had this exact same idea in Primary School when I was 6, a library where you can go to different worlds. Eventually it expanded to include movies, TV, anime, games. Literally any form of media.
It's a neat little concept I think I'll use at some point.
Either way I cannot wait to be able to play my neat little thought experiment in a legitimate minecraft update.
I don't know what it is about this video, but something about it gave me "really old-style Minecraft videos" vibes, and I absolutely love it
This was such a fun video! Absolutely chaos but I loved every second of it.
They say til this day the tnt dimension is still exploding.
It became the Big Bang universe.
I would LOVE to see more of this, or other restricted snapshots! They have a lot to offer!!!
I definitely have One Block at a Time on my TODO list.
Wow! Thank you for the reply and heart!
One block at a time would be amazing!
I was so excited to see you play infinite dimensions. I started playing it recently, a few weeks ago, and holy crow has it made for some insane clutch moments, escaping from withers, relighting portals with beds or ghasts, it’s an experience and a half. I’m so glad you got to experience the unprecedented chaos and wondrous adventures crammed into this snapshot!
Legundo you are the best Minecraft youtuber in my opine
Fr though! Like the game of thrones video is GODLY
I liked how the book dimension staarted to look more and more like a survival base. I really liked this video! ⭐️
Music + teleports gave off major Treasure Planet vibes i was in love. need that play list btw
That’s a throwback. Gonna go watch that again.
Sierra is going to post a playlist to discord tomorrow probably.
@Legundo it's one of my all time favorites
Legundo and the multiverse of madness
The dimensional hopping feels lovecraftian, jumping between worlds for the main goal and while you are at it, enjoy the new scenery however chaotic it may be. It also showed why world identical to yours is often treasured due to how rare it is. That's why you will feel some kind of love and attached to it.
i wonder if immersive portals works with this update
Man your music choice is PHENOMENAL ❤
It’s my favorite part of the editing gig :)
lovely video like always legs! i loved the pop music montage 🙌🏽 just very light and fun and your vibe is always so wholesome
I love the music in the background
between 3:00-5:00
At 11:00
3:44 MADE IN HEAVEN
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that
Awesome video Legs!
I like the idea of this one, I have seen many like but none as good as this one.
(your story telling has gotten so good for video too!!!)
Interesting idea, I loved the interstellar world!🎉
I would be interested in another video with this.
I remember goofing off in this update right before my laptop screen broke
7:34 if you stayed in the portal you probaly could have left without dying
This was such a cool video. Amazing work Legs.
RFTools Dimensions users stand up! You could basically create your own dimension for ANYTHING, even a FULL world, made of just diamond blocks but it'll cost you too much power which is kind of impossible in survival unless you're too OP
Great vid Legs! Can't wait for more!
Ooooo i was waiting for this!!!!
10:25 “WRODS”
Edit: that + immersive portals
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH Sierra I'm not the only one to make typos!!! Hahaha!!!
LEGS PLEASE 😭😭😭
ahh yes, a man of true culture, an Interstellar reference.
wow, a dimension hopping survival playthrough actually sounds very cool. Somewhat reminds me of the loki series or that guy with the huge brain from invincible that can dimension hop. Very cool
that is such a cool challenge, I am so impressed you managed to complete it!!
I was scared the whole time you were taking your netherite armor into the dimensions
SUCH FUN VIDEO!! love your content bro
Didn't know channels could have guidelines that's cool
Fun fact; the amount of dimensions that are possible to visit, is the exact same number as the maximum amount of coins, (or any item), that you can carry in RuneScape. I believe it's because both Minecraft and RuneScape both run off Java.
it's actually the 32 but intiger limit
LOVE the editing style!!!
Good video @Legundo can’t wait to see what you have in stored for us next great job this video was interesting very interesting
Man, what a trip this was. Seeing you find innovative and odd ways to go adventuring is always a treat. x3
Also, what's the song at 10:52? Catchy!
Water on My Fire by Alex Ansaldi
@@frankie4sd484 Thanks! ^w^👍
4:24 MADE IN HEAVEN!
The music in all your videos is so good!
Wow, I can honestly say full hearted I loved your video! You are awesome! Keep bringing the great content man!
This is it's own version, not a feature, so unfortunately it's restricted to it's own snapshot. I don't know if anyone's ever tried replicating it in a mod though.
Glad you enjoyed the video! :D
There's mystcraft, but it's for 1.12
If there's a multiverse-themed sci-fi movie, he would be the protagonist
Love the Arthur C. Clarke quote. 🥰 Thx for including it.
cool video legundo this is a really interesting part of the game do you see them do you hear them can't you taste them i always love your videos can't wait for the next one wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up
Creepy
Great idea for a vid. I love this update.
That looked like a blast! Love how you find so many different things to do in Minecraft. I struggle with vanilla play through...lol. Keep up the great content!
YO I feel that all the time with the alerts in the middle of a video xDDDDD also what a great challenge idea!
I never heard of this, this is so fricking cool!
Wow. What a journey. Actually loved this one. ❤
Super fun! Loved it!
This kind of rules while playing makes it like a roguelike game, interesting
man I need to go back and watch the DDoors video again. I love these so much
Your reacts to the TNT dimensions was hilarious to me. Bob reminded me of a drinking game “Hi Bob”.
its crazy how just insane coding and randomised blocks can be so beautiful lmao
I really liked the music you had in this video!
This was super cool! The other "special updates" would be cool
Thank you! You made me fill a lot better. *:)*
Damn legundo, you can make a spider-man across the spiderverse version with this snapshot
it kinda feels like the backrooms but less depressing
Dang, this looks really interesting!
The Legundo dimension was actually pretty op
Love the music in this one!!
this is what I minecraft movie/show would be in my mind
Wrods gotta be my new favourite word
15:57 got me. Didn't expect the voice.
would have really liked a 100 days version with like real time which would be around 33 hours in total
I just like how you make a statement that normally would get people panicking, but you say it with absolute calm.
you should try out the twilight forest mod, it supports fabric and forge and has bosses and progression stuff, its pretty fun
27:30 you're not Legundo, you're one of them! (don't mind me, just making a TGWDLM reference)
Great choice of music
This Should be Permanently in the GAME for all versions
This seems like a nice vid
loved this tbh
I mean to be fair, only one dimension had its end dragon killed
I absolutely love this snapshot purely because of Minecraft story mode season 2 where they have that big hallway with all the portals
After just watching the emerald challenge, it feels so luxurious to break blocks
loved the music in this!
This is a good video, I like this video a lot this is good, good job guys
I spent a loooong time on this snapshot when it came out. Tons of fun.
Minecraft but Mojang Backrooms?
He leaves the portal in a world made of TNT... Probably could have made it out too
One of the best updates. I'm sad how few people came up with the survival-in-infinite-dimensions idea.
New to the channel and this video made me miss old TH-cam when people put good music in the videos
It reminds me so much about minecraft story mod, nostalgia trip
I just watched the surviving with one emerald video and it felt so wrong seeing you break every block at first 😂
20:54 believable, Legundo. Very believable.
@Sierra can confirm. I've been banned from using OBS pausing, lol
If you're going to do more of the April Fools updates then I highly recommend snapshot 15w14a! Also Minecraft 2.0 Blue version.
For anyone who does not watch Dominion Gertie was RNJoy's Ravager before she went missing when the VOID went crazy.
This is kinda like the MystCraft mod, which I really like xD
Very fun adventure 👍😎
Imagine the end dragon in this update had multiple phases and after each phase it teleports you to a random dimension then it'd be less anticlimactic
