I remember coming across one of these doors randomly. I immediately fell into the weird limbo dimension. It was terrifying. Yes, there are strange eldritch beings in there. But for whatever reason, they don't seem to appear for everyone.
i am pretty sure that the reason for that is the difference in game versions, i think the mobs got removed in newer ones. so nah, no demons in your specific game
I play with an older version of Minecraft, so I had to get an older version of Dimensional Doors. The Monoliths used to be these solid rectangular creatures with those glowing red eyes, but in newer versions they were reduced to just the eye. All they do is stare at you and teleport you back to where you started in Limbo, but when I was looking through the config for the mod, you can set them to attack the player. I'm not sure if you're able to kill them. I once found one glitching through the ceiling of one of the dungeons. I tried using a sword that kills any mob instantly, but it didn't do anything. Not sure if that was because it was glitching or because you just...can't kill them. They do have health, but it's very high (57,005 was how much HP the one I saw had).
My idea is: You know the limbo dimension having that giant eye? What if you're supposed to take an elytra and firework rocket up to the eye. At best, something new happens. At worst, then at least that red is turned to a black eye.
@@m.2039 Thats what I was thinking lol, when we entered the dimension I was hoping what he meant by facing his fear would be to fly into the eye since he hated looking at it
Dimensional Doors is really the precursor to the Backrooms concept as we know it. Dimensional Doors is a mod full of liminal spaces which have a tendency to unnerve. Liminal is a word relating to a transitionary period from one place or time to another. Its why so many liminal spaces happen to be things like hallways. That emptiness, that feeling that something is missing is a direct result of being in a place that SHOULD be populated, it should be filled with people but it isn’t. Like a mall in the dead of night, or an empty office building.
In the first 10 days a lot goes on, even though this is Minecraft I got actually terrified, the way you simply gaslight us that your first death was just a bad nightmare, that the days passing never really happened and the confusing memories, amazing!!!!
I don't think "gaslit" is the proper term. You can hear the confusion in his voice after the time jump when he redoes things, like he's having intense deja vu but doesn't understand why-
So something I love about the Dimension Door mod is that the void and the fabric of unreality that fills the area are the exact same color, so without shaders you never know if jumping into the black areas will drop you into the void or if you will land on solid, but invisible, ground. With shaders, you can see the difference. And you continued to explore the mod with shaders off. Hats off to you, I would have absolutely kept the shaders on for additional safety.
The dimensional doors mod is very old, initially made for 1.6.4. I didn't realize it had been updated past 1.12.2! I'm glad to see such a cool mod is still around and getting some attention. Shame it's only for Fabric, though.
Man... Dimensional Doors is one of those mods that gives me so much nostalgia. It's among the first mods I played with alongside Buildcraft and Forestry.
This has to be one of my favorite 100 days of hardcore minecraft. The timeskips and the creepiness of the world is just so so good. I love every single second of it. The jump cuts make it even more unsettling and it gives such subtle horror to it. The dead silence sometimes is fair more intense than it has the right to do and the glitched text scene in the beginning is SO INCREDIBLE COOL.
So two very important things to know for create. First is that if you ever need to change direction without changing speed like with the grinding wheels, use gearboxes. They change direction every time you go through one without changing speed. The other thing is for the crafting, like with the potato gun, the crafters can be that size or larger. Regardless, you need to put it in the correct shape, and you need to use the wrench to make the crafters all point in the right direction
The dimensional doors mod is probably the must cursed minecraft mod ever. It terrified me back when I was a kid. Though I remember in limbo you used to be teleported more often maybe they changed that since it was extremely annoying and confusing.

"Limbo is the accumulated remains of a thousand dead worlds, timeless and infinite. Yet it is not a lifeless realm, because something old sleeps here, something that watches and waits. Think twice before you break the ancient walls within the dungeons, because whatever built them did so for a very, very good reason. There are eyes in the dark, and you are not supposed to be here." Use night vision in Limbo = you can see the monoliths, and the sky turns white. Monoliths also have those eyes, and they slowly blink, (Once the eye is fully open, it will teleport the player to a random location within Limbo.) you can't kill them unless you shoot one just right with a Hunter's Handgun using Buster Bullets. (Explosive Rounds) Fun fact Limbo is the outermost circle of Hell! :)
Dear God that ending had me actually terrified. The minute I saw the first change, I immediately guessed the armor stand. I just didn't think it would be that horrifyingly scary.
Funny thing about those rifts you go through. On an older version when you go to destroy Redstone a monster named the monolith will spawn and if you stay to long in its sight you teleport to limbo. Also if you attempt to break tnt in the rooms it auto ignites and blows up anyways
Dimensional doors was the first time a video game made me feel fear, stepping into one and seeing holes in the roof, eyes trying to drag me into an inescapable limbo? Terrifying.

i was seriously high while watching the video and just as the glitch between the first and second run appears my mind just goes bonkers and gives me the worst bad trip anyone could've ever imagined. I was paranoid for about 8 days afterwards, still much appreciated, keep up the good work
i like to put videos like this on to help me sleep. yknow, the long minecraft letsplays where it's mostly just one guy's voice as they play the game which are entertaining enough to stop my mind from wandering but slow and same-y enough that it won't keep me up. the thumbnail and title of this one intrigued me, so i decided to put it on while falling asleep. don't know if that was the best or worst decision i could've made, but either way, its about 1 am, i'm a bit over halfway through the video and i don't think i'm gonna fall asleep for a while. incredibly invested in this.
Ahhhh Dimensional Doors... Its so nostalgic! I absolutely love this mod. Its relatively simple, but extremely unnerving. It feels like there's some unspoken mystery behind it that will never be answered. Limbo is TERRIFYING, but not inherently evil, and the lack of explanation for it just _feels_ like the classic early days of Minecraft.

Awesome video, but Legundo doing the whole of Create mod without the Goggles and a Wrench hurts me on a very deep level
Also, Extendo-Grip gang
1:04:35 X, Y and Z are the standard coordinates used to describe your position in three dimensions, one letter for each axis.
W might be the fourth dimension. It might also be short for “World” and all the dimensional doors lead to different pocket dimensions with their own world-ID.
Oh boy… something tells me this will be jammed pack with lore
Legundo "I made 2 helmets because I'm a pro" less then 5 mins later "can I mine a diamond block with a STONE pick??" Ha love ya man. That was a good laugh. Keep doing ya thing bro. You're dope af. 💯💕🔥🔥
I love the delivery of "They all just kept leaving after my axe hit their SKULL"
I'm impressed you were even organized by day 63. I just keep thirty shulker boxes and a few dozen chests around in random places... No wonder my projects take so long. Organizing it is basically its own project
I love how legundo just kills the cows with the patio gun. It’s almost as if some part of him know that somewhere in an alternate reality he was part pig 0_0
ah yes my favorite vegetable, *the patio*
@@honeybeesami6454 I know, right? Great vegetable imo
@@Atnomen I nearly forgot I made that comment, thank you for reminding me
I love how during the beginning of 90 day mark, Legundo just goes full goblin
Ahh I am so happy you're going with lore and survival filled 100 days!
Lore theory: the doors are how Legundo gets from world to world
tears in reality??? oooh boi i feel some LORE on its way 👀
29:45
Eldritch horror is fun! :D
Why, even thinking about how there's been chunks of the world torn out and into the void...
And that's not even considering the second dimension!
1:04:52
IT'S YUKARI'S ROOM!
Those red eyes remind me of the character Yukari, she can do a lot of things but the most prominent is to open up gaps in reality to either travel or grab things, inside these gaps you can see very similar red eyes watching you.
And also Okina's backdoors
gap hag
I only had to read the first syllabol of her name to start hearing the music in my ears lol
What are these characters from?
@@Danodan94 the touhou project, a series of bullet hell games created by zun mostly infamous for their characters and music. The fan base is amazing making all kinds of things about the series like manga and anime.
“I got sent to a super sketchy room with a puzzle in it. Better Put my super awesome enchanted axe in the chest that will probably explode!”
Some of the things he does just hurt my brain.
I’m so happy you finally got the chests organized on day 63 and the base looks great
That ending was crazy. I got so invested. Kept an eye on the limbo armor and that stuff came to life. Freaked me out when it jumped at legundo. My heart plummeted with him when he jumped over the bridge.
_ :) _: Ah dejavu.
A side effect of having time being rewinded against your volition.
Best to ignore it if possible, I don't feeling helping you out tbh.
SS: don't you dislike it when people use time heckery though.
_ :) _: some time littering isn't too bad. Rewinds just mildly fast forwards other realities. Much more preferable than the others.
That rewind really confused me for a second I thought I accidentally rewinded it
The creator hearted my comment and it was legundo wow that's the first time that's ever happened to me nice
OK so I'm not crazy right, "time/day" did reverse and then some stuff changed. Big oof. I thought the Old God's had finally found me or something
I love that all of legundos videos are all connected by the Multiverse it's so nice man
1:04:25 it seems as if the W coordinate is suggesting you are in the 4th spatial dimension. Because W is usually used to describe the 4th direction of movement. There might be a way to move along that coordinate but I'm not sure.
This, despite its age, was SO worth the 1:35:24 of my time. I love a good shattered reality, and the eyes brought back a few memories of the old ARG days
Love your voice! It's pretty calm and soothing compared to what I'm used to hearing from Minecraft content creators. It's a welcome change. Excited to hear more from you!
i was seriously high while watching the video and just as the glitch between the first and second run appears my mind just goes bonkers and gives me the worst bad trip anyone could've ever imagined. I was paranoid for about 8 days afterwards, still much appreciated, keep up the good work
You're welcome and I'm sorry?
I'm not even angry about you dying, the lore is very intriguing. Keep it up
i like to put videos like this on to help me sleep. yknow, the long minecraft letsplays where it's mostly just one guy's voice as they play the game which are entertaining enough to stop my mind from wandering but slow and same-y enough that it won't keep me up. the thumbnail and title of this one intrigued me, so i decided to put it on while falling asleep. don't know if that was the best or worst decision i could've made, but either way, its about 1 am, i'm a bit over halfway through the video and i don't think i'm gonna fall asleep for a while. incredibly invested in this.
oh god, I'm sorry.
I’d love to see another 100 days of the multiverse and the story telling
Ahhhh Dimensional Doors... Its so nostalgic! I absolutely love this mod. Its relatively simple, but extremely unnerving. It feels like there's some unspoken mystery behind it that will never be answered. Limbo is TERRIFYING, but not inherently evil, and the lack of explanation for it just _feels_ like the classic early days of Minecraft.
19:50 feels like how to train your dragon
0:45 That pig made immeasurable sacrifices to open the gateway to his homeworld,
But when he saw the axe wielding maniac he ran and hid, hoping he wouldn't care about the portal
But alas, he came running and it was too late
1:22:00 potato cannons are much louder in real life. Don’t ask how I know that.
I honestly like how the video gives off the ambient feeling that it's entire reality is gradually decaying into something different.
In my 5 years of expirience in minecraft, i dont think ive *ever brewed potions once.*
i have never watched your videos before and was not mentally prepared for the multiverse lore. this is super cool
*ding ding ding* DAY 63! LET'S GIVE IT UP FOR DAY 63!
"Can I mine this with a stone pick?"
Well, you can't mine Diamond Ore with it, so why would you ever be able to mine a refined version of it with the same pick?
in create if you dont use all the crafters for a recipe you can trigger the craft with a redstone signal instead of having to rebuild an appropriate shape
I would love for Legundo to explore these Dimension doors even further
51:30, Illusioner from MC Dungeons. 🤓💀🤓💀🤓
I’ve always loved the Dimentional Doors mod since it firrst came out all those years ago. Never played it though, because I only had an iPad.
Idk why but the different demension like the parking lot and the beach remind me of the backrooms or levels inside the backrooms wich is a reality we can access through no-clipping and have different snipits of our world. Also a Backrooms 100 days would be interesting
Love the video. I like that you made not only a play through but made it like an ARG. Super unique and engaging
Limbo s a space between death and alive that's normally impossible to escape
seems more like a break in the fabric of reality since, you know, he escapes by bathing in reality. then again he either falls into it or dies to get there soooooo, who knows.
For those that don't know, you don't need to find slime for Create's contraptions.
Create supplies a recipe to make slime balls from wheat -> grind to flour -> add water to make dough, then add lime dye.
