Great start to the mods can't beat a set of trees from cognito moto awesome bits of kit . Glad you mentioned Karl been following him as long as you absolutely awesome skills and easy to watch . Good luck with the tank and you got a great metal machine bending that on. Have fun Dan thanks mate
@@CafeRacerGarage that will be a great addition to the tooling . Steep learning curve by all accounts but good luck Karl's the best video I've seen on teaching and he has some great references to others . However I do think your really going to need a much bigger extension now lol. All my best Dan
Looking awesome! I hope you have better luck than I did with a Virago, I had to scrap a 920 project because the electrical system was garbage. You are right on track with Karl on Make it Kustom, he's awesome .
Another great video! I love to see how far it's currently stripped since the last video and after the slow start you had with it! And that Tank "frame" idea looks promising!
Great videos ,,, the tank fab was interesting ,,, just a though you probably know ,,, but if you make a plug out of drywall compound you could make a female mold from it and then using fiberglass and vinylester resin mold a tank ,,, not polyester resin vinylester resin be easier to do
Good question....what is perfect? And when is "good enough" really good enough? Look at your project with the same pair of eyes as you look at your friends build. Then it's easier to find the balance between good, perfect and madness! Take care mate! Cheers!
I recently found your channel and have started my very first build, a ‘74 KZ400… what are some options you’d recommend for front end conversion, budget friendly?
Looking awesome, Dan. Really love where you’re taking this one. Your video production is getting mighty smooth. BTW, did you catch your faker poster yet? 🏍👍🏍
Thank you Gary and no I haven’t Worried about it I spend more time trying to produce great content and the negative people will get there karma eventually. I don’t need to worry about that 👍 I hope you have a fantastic week brother
Hi. I just started conversion of my XV920 to a cafe racer and I found accidentally your video. I'm wondering what gas tank model is this red one that you've got? I've got a gas tank from 920 and 750 and both of them are much more curved than yours.
Good job man , can i ask u, i m from morocco and i love classic bikes but all friend here advice me to dont get old bike bcs i will find hard to get it parts , what u advice me
I think the saying goes something like "striving for perfection is impossible, instead strive for excellence", something you're already adept at ;)
Mannnn !!!! Can't wait to see all the work step by step on this new project. I hope you gonna make many episodes with this bike too :)
Yes Nicholas I’ll definitely be making lots of episodes so stay tuned
Looking forward to see what you do. I think the virago is a brilliant choice for a cafe racer.

That’s not good I’m sad to hear that. Yes he is a legend
the entire loop is a hand-wired mess from factory, but the loom isn't all that difficult to re-do

Did you think about just changing the front end and using it like that...
Eyyy new build🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome awesome stuff. I’m wondering why you couldn’t just cut the old tank and modify it to be flat instead of building a whole new one ?
I could but I want to learn new skills
Great stuff so far. With the wire buck, what sort of wire do you need to be able to mig tack it like you have? looks really handy for stuff like this
Thank you mate, 2.4mm mild steel wire is all I'm using
