You know the OG trailers were good when making them 4K only makes them look a LITTLE better.
8K60fps version of these available now, far better than this.
Also always fun to remember that after Malgus got hit with that force pulse on Alderaan, he killed two Jedi's while heavily injured, before escaping back to Imperial space. Malgus is a badass

despite being injured his battle so so intense it brought a building down on top of them, and he managed to kill them before he was buried and he needs his mask not casue injury, but his lungs are just to torn up from all the ash
These cinematics get me so excited to play the game, nevermind me already knowing that the cinematics are far greater than the game could ever hope to be.
The story in the game is still very good and always will be.
It was my first MMO and I was a very sheltered kid growing up, so I was completely fooled into thinking the trailers represented the games accurately.
Still loved the game of course.
@@corruptangel6793 your story reminds me of when I gave other mmos a try, swtor being my first, and when I tried wow for the first time, I kept asking "where the hell are all the custcenes, what is happening?" 😂😂😂 I expected custcenes for everything like in swtor - needless to say, I was sorely disappointed.
Darin DePaul as Valkorian is fucking amazing
Pretty sure the Sith Emperor inhabited Valkorion for far longer. He recalls the old ways of Zakuul when its people were swamp natives worshipping the Old Gods, that he uplifted them. Note that the cities on Zakuul are vertical, they are built on top of one another so high that it reaches beyond the stratosphere. Valkorion was a warrior from the old world, and was only kept alive through the Sith Emperor's power, so this wasn't done in a few years - this was done over hundreds of years.
I wasn't a Star Wars fan before I started playing SWTOR, but became one because of it.

In the First KOTOR Game, the color yellow for the sabre symbolized those who walked on the fence between the dark and the light. The infiltrators and shadow players. The crystal was about gray instead of black or white... If I remember it exactly lol.

Dang it, you guys, you persuaded me to finally check this game out. Late to the party, I know. Is there a canon chronological order to the class stories? And does it really matter? I'm probably going to start out with the Jedi Consular class for the Republic, and I'm debating between Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent for the Sith Empire.
Class stories tend to run more or less concurrently, so you'll be fine.
No, there is no order to class stories. Actually, they all happen at almost the same time. For Empire side I would really recommend you to pay attention in Agent story. There's many ties to other story's in that
Imperial Agent is probably the best lol!
Jedi Knight storyline is probably the most expansive, but I've played every class and IMO they're all good.

none of the cinematics spoil the story, these 3 take place before the events of the base game and each additional cinematics take place before the related expansion
well, STE well, explained its not that the troopers are deadlier, its that the sith back then sucked and were just easier to kill, because like in episode 2 hundreds of jedi died in that arena when really only the masters lived, The old republic sith were basically the same thing.
There were 5,000 droids swarming the arena vs 200 who're spread out at first. meaning each Jedi would have to kill at least 25 droids and any jedi that didn't fill that quota would force another to pick up the slack. And that doesn't include any geonosians that helped fight. I think the death toll was justified. And there were Padawans that survived. Bariss Offee for one.
The OR Sith however numbered in the millions so it would be impossible for all of them to receive decent training. Most likely only 1% (if that) were actual apprentices, Lords and Darths while the rest were mere acolytes.

not sure if you figured it out or someone told you, but you can meet jace malcom on alderaan for a bonus quest series. you need to go to the palace and in one of the rooms he is there. If you are a trooper he gives a little nod to that talking something about havoc squad.

The eternal empire could have have in it own series who can say there different sect of Force users who have different custom and culture than the Jed and Sith.
A story about the Voss would be interesting too, another alternative view of the force right there.

And I did not pay any attention to age before. I remembered that the war had been going on for more than 20 years. And now I googled: in the first trailer (Return) Satil is 12 years old, Malgus is 19. In the second trailer (Hope), they are already 36 and 43 years old, in the third (Deceived) Malgus is 47 years old. And in the latest trailer (Disorder) Malgus is already 70-80 years old
Sorry to reply to a year old comment, but it bugs me. Satele is not 12 in Return. Do the math. If she is 36 is Hope, as you say, and Return is 14 years prior, then that puts Satele at 22 years old in Return. But that is if she is 36 in Hope, which she is not. Satele was born in 3699 BBY. Satele was 18 in Return and 32 in Hope.
Further, Malgus was born in 3701BBY, making him less than 2 years older than Satele. He was 19 in Return, 33 in Hope, and 47 in Decieved.
The only problem I ever had with these videos was the lightsaber colors were reversed. Satele is a Councilor and should have green. Her teacher is a Guardian and should have blue.
Satile is a perfect example of a badass woman with no woke shit implemented. THAT is a badass female character
