Traitors are rarely a thing in the Sith. Betrayal is not only expected, it's encouraged. Vader WAS NOT loyal to Palpatine. His perceived loyalty was a combination of his pain, frustration, mental torture, and Sith brainwashing. He had nowhere else and nothing else. In the extended content, Vader repeatedly had plans to usurp Palpatine and actually despised him. In fact, they despised each other. Palpatine for Anakin losing to Obi-Wan and being permanently disfigured. This reduced his ability to access the force and achieve his full potential. This destroyed Palpatine's plans. Vader hated him for failing to save Padme despite all his talk (despite Vader being responsible for her death lol) and the fact Palpatine constantly would try to kill him and dreamt of a better pupil and purposely made his suit cause constant pain/ cripple him. While he had a loyalty, it was always self serving overall. Even in the movies, his actual intent was to get Luke to the dark side to kill Palpatine, knowing he would be disposed of when it came to it.

The Old Republic takes place 3000+ years before The Clone Wars and the original trilogy. That red planet from the first video is the Birthplace of the Sith, they lost it 1000 years before and returned to take it back and kill the Republic and Jedi. That Sith dude who killed his master was Darth Malgus, he becomes important in the game's story a few times. Second video took place on Alderaan, those troops weren't clones. Clones weren't used back then, just regular people trained to be the best they can be. This unit is called Havoc Squad, the baddest of asses in the Republic military at the time. Third video was an event called The Sacking of Coruscant, the Empire's hail mary to force a truce and a cold war, so they could build up a force to win the war propper. After that, the following videos are events that concern a third faction that remained hidden until they were ready to reveal themselves and clap both the Empire and Republic's cheeks. The brothers, mother, and daughter are important in that arc in the game. Last video is Malgus being a dick again and messing with a young Jedi's feelings, while also revealing the Jedi ain't so altruistic.
To follow up,the Sacking of Coruscant was just a way to force the republic to signing a treaty with the Sith Empire on Alderaan, and Malgus wasn't aware of Coruscant just being held as he thought it'd be completely gone. And the Mandalorian that was shown working with Malgus is named Shae Vizla (ancestor to the CW Vizla's we know), where she snuck into Coruscant to disable the planets defense grid. When the planet was held captive, the Sith would just be looting, executing senators, assassinating the chancellor, typical sith stuff.... And if you wonder who the girl that showed up in the first two trailers are, She is Satele Shan, she would eventually become Grandmaster of the Jedi Order after the Sacking of Coruscant. So yeah, she's very much skilled enough to have killed those Sith warriors. And the hidden faction is called "The Eternal Empire", created by a former Sith Emperor, Vitiate, who was a sith spirit taking the host body of Valkorian, a native of the planet Zakuul. As Vitiate built his new Eternal Empire, with his Eternal Fleet and Knight of Zakuul (Which are very interestingly, force sensitive warriors that were basically Vitiate's imperial guard). Would have his sons, Arcann & Thexan wage heavy blows to both the Sith Empire and Jedi Order, bringing both to their knees to the Eternal Emperor.
A little explanation about Malgus! Malgus is different than most Sith during that era and despises both the Jedi and the Sith by the time this last trailer plays (there are like 50-60 Years between the First and the last trailer and Malgus is already in his 80s) He sees the Jedi as weak, restricted and arrogant cowards who believe they alone know what is right and can't fail. And are basically way too restricted through their Code But he also hates the Sith in their current form as he sees them as mostly self sabotaging and stuck in the past! The Sith of that era are very self serving, Racist and elitist. They literally fight eachother more than the Republic and barely anyone works together on top of the Empire basically refusing all "alien scum" (in other words anyone who is not Human, Chiss or a Sith Pureblood) and anyone that is not from some kind of ancient Sith family because of "traditions" Malgus literally foresaw the end of the Sith because of this restricted worldview and infighting, thousands of Years in advance and tried establishing his own kind of empire. An empire where everyone was welcome, regardless of race, gender or social standing, as long as they have the will and the power to claim whatever spot they want for themself and that was obviously a huge thorn in the side of the Empire, which is why he is branded as a "traitor". Within a short time he basically managed to establish his own empire made up of Mandalorians, Trandoshans, Gamorreans and more, which even prompted the Republic and Empire to engage in some kind of forced cooperation to take him and his empire on together During that last trailer he has let both the Empire and Republic long behind him and he is highly manipulating towards Sa'har! His words "All your Life you have been in a Cage. Once you are ready, break free" and putting her in this position was basically his way of forcing her to choose the dark side if she wants to survive, as it is her only chance if she doesn't want to die, while making her believe it was her own decision That dude is just a goat with awesome beliefs that constantly steals the show whenever he appears and plays out both the Jedi and the Sith

Sidious even looked up to Malgus greatly and wanted Vader to live up to his example, in which Vader failed miserably. In terms of feats, Malgus has killed hundreds, if not, thousands of battle hardened Jedi/Sith alike, whereas Vader hunted down Jedi in an era where the Jedi were at their weakest. The Jedi Vader hunted down were very incompetent and weren't nearly equipped enough to handle a Sith Lord. It's like the Homelander vs. Omni-Man debate; Vader is a big fish in a small pond. As for Anakin, Malgus would still beat him. Anakin never got close to reaching his full potential, and while he was an expert duelist, he never truly tested himself against other lightsaber duelists aside from Dooku and Ventress. Malgus was killing Jedi and Sith daily. Anakin was only destroying battle droids. And let's not forget Anakin's emotions. He is extremely arrogant, constantly underestimating his opponents while at the same time overestimating his own abilities, and is quick to anger, which makes him unbalanced, which is responsible for most of his losses. Malgus is in complete control of his emotions. He is cold and calculated but is also capable of focusing his anger and fury to demolish his opponents. Yes, Anakin may have a closer connection to the Force than Malgus, but Malgus' mastery of the Dark Side is just too much. As for Starkiller (for whatever reason), Malgus would still win for the reasons that I've already stated, and Starkiller also has a lot of the same faults that Anakin has, which Malgus would have no problems taking advantage of. The only things that Starkiller has going for him here are how unpredictable he is and how he's capable of using the Dark Side. But as i stated earlier, Malgus has killed many powerful Sith Lords in his time, and unlike Starkiller, Malgus is a master Dark Side user and has that experience edge over him. Long tangent, I know, but blame my autism. Old Republic characters were just too strong.

And I'm not overestimating the Jedi/Sith of the Old Republic at all. Just because they aren't as well known to fans doesn't make them weaker in the slightest. Playing the games, we see that they're much more competent with their judgement and are well equipped to handle Sith Lords. That's just power scaling. The power scales tipped in the Sith's favour during the Skywalker Era due to the Jedi's incompetence, whereas in the Old Republic, the Jedi had fought in many wars against both Sith and Mandalorians, making both sides battle-tested, and their wisdom is unmatched, putting the Jedi and Sith of that era on an even playing field. The Jedi of that era were absolutely at the same level as the likes of Yoda and Windu. Many people just don't know that because the Jedi of the Old Republic aren't as well known. And while I agree that Sidious is among the most powerful Sith Lords, I really struggle to see how he's THE most powerful. Seeing as he lost to Windu, we see duelling isn't his preferred style of attack, meaning he'd undoubtedly lose to the likes of Malgus and Revan, two of the greatest duellist in galactic history, and comparing his Force power to other Sith Lords, Nihilus and Vitiate beat him, as we have never seen Sidious pull off any kind of similar feat as those two. I know George Lucas said Sidious was the most powerful Sith Lord, but he said that before the Old Republic even existed. Going purely by feats, Sidious is outmatched, though I'm not saying he's weak in the slightest. I respect your opinion, too, and understand if your stance on the subject doesn't budge. The only cutscene battle he ''kind '' but not actually lost in on Alderaan, by being blindsided by Jace Malcolm, which gives Satele chance to burry Malgus under rubble. Hundreds tons of rubble, which Malgus survives without becoming crippled. Like yes you CAN defeat Malgus in his flashpoint, and in other moments of the game, BUT that is because it is done by player who is MAIN Character of the story, so OF COURSE they would defeat Malgus. But besides that Malgus have never lost a fight in his life. Unlike aforementioned Anakin and Starkiller who have suffered defeats, and in case of Anakin pretty embarassing ones at that.

She was using a force technique to absorb energy from Malgus' ligthsaber. That's why she could Kamehameha Malgus into the mountain like she did: she took the energy she absorbed and redirected it. Yoda did it against Force Lightning in the prequels and Vader did it when he blocked Han's blaster shots with his hand.

I know I'm like five months late, but I wanted to elaborate on the "Sith get stronger when they're hurt" thing. Sith can use pain, physical and emotional, as fuel to channel the Dark Side. This is one reason why Darth Vader is so strong despite missing so much of his body: he is in constant agony.

The Sith isnt even evil per se, in the game itself - there are lot of options to be morally grey sith or have certain codex of honor, if you like. You oversimplification of things just plain tiring to watch. Also, calling the descendant of Bastila Shan a "trash" is smth. These were no clones in this time period and the soldier that was in the first two cinematics was from The Havoc Squad - thats why he was able to do smth vs sith. And contrarily to popular belief - most of regular jedi or sith could relatively easy be killed with proper tools. In regards to the brothers - they arent from sith or jedi, their place called The Eternal Empire, they use both sides of the force. The girl in "Betrayed" cinematic wasnt given "evil thoughs" - her father was afraid of her power, so he send her to a place devoid of the force ( a literal torture for any force user), so she went nuts and only kept in check via special phrase that her father implanted into her mind. Malgus in the last cinematic wasnt trying to make her sith, he is disillusioned with sith and jedi alike at this point in story (but he is dark side force user and true to the sith code, afaik).

The p2w in Star wars the old republic is kinda discouraging especially to newer players half of the games mechanics are blocked by a temporarily removed pay wall and you also aren't allowed to have more then a million credits which restricts what you can buy and you can't progress over level 60 which also keeps you from progressing further into the campaign cause some of the missions require you to be at least level 70-80+) and half of the time the cosmetic/premium shop doesn't even work and your money still gets taken and there customer service is a complete joke cause it pretty much is non-existent putting simple game mechanics behind a pay wall like that isn't gonna give new players the incentive to keep playing but to delete it after only playing for a handful of weeks about the only thing nice about the game is the trailers and cutscenes.

All true, and Sidious was very cautious of vader, thats reason why he made him allmost full cybernetic, all to limit his ability to one day betray him, the continious torture because make mistake, vader is in constant pain wearing that suit, and all those fancy moves Anakin used to have, Vader can not perform, when have we ever seen vader do a somersault or run, but his ability in the force was somewhat untouched, thats why we see alot of force choking, pulling, lightning etc, plus his anger can be channeled (like all sith) to his lightsaber stance/form to overpower/overwhelm opponents, these cinematics should be movies or be examples for movies to give us true star wars gems.

The Old Republic takes place 3000+ years before The Clone Wars and the original trilogy.
That red planet from the first video is the Birthplace of the Sith, they lost it 1000 years before and returned to take it back and kill the Republic and Jedi. That Sith dude who killed his master was Darth Malgus, he becomes important in the game's story a few times.
Second video took place on Alderaan, those troops weren't clones. Clones weren't used back then, just regular people trained to be the best they can be. This unit is called Havoc Squad, the baddest of asses in the Republic military at the time.
Third video was an event called The Sacking of Coruscant, the Empire's hail mary to force a truce and a cold war, so they could build up a force to win the war propper.
After that, the following videos are events that concern a third faction that remained hidden until they were ready to reveal themselves and clap both the Empire and Republic's cheeks. The brothers, mother, and daughter are important in that arc in the game.
Last video is Malgus being a dick again and messing with a young Jedi's feelings, while also revealing the Jedi ain't so altruistic.
To follow up,the Sacking of Coruscant was just a way to force the republic to signing a treaty with the Sith Empire on Alderaan, and Malgus wasn't aware of Coruscant just being held as he thought it'd be completely gone. And the Mandalorian that was shown working with Malgus is named Shae Vizla (ancestor to the CW Vizla's we know), where she snuck into Coruscant to disable the planets defense grid. When the planet was held captive, the Sith would just be looting, executing senators, assassinating the chancellor, typical sith stuff....
And if you wonder who the girl that showed up in the first two trailers are, She is Satele Shan, she would eventually become Grandmaster of the Jedi Order after the Sacking of Coruscant. So yeah, she's very much skilled enough to have killed those Sith warriors.
And the hidden faction is called "The Eternal Empire", created by a former Sith Emperor, Vitiate, who was a sith spirit taking the host body of Valkorian, a native of the planet Zakuul. As Vitiate built his new Eternal Empire, with his Eternal Fleet and Knight of Zakuul (Which are very interestingly, force sensitive warriors that were basically Vitiate's imperial guard). Would have his sons, Arcann & Thexan wage heavy blows to both the Sith Empire and Jedi Order, bringing both to their knees to the Eternal Emperor.
A little explanation about Malgus! Malgus is different than most Sith during that era and despises both the Jedi and the Sith by the time this last trailer plays (there are like 50-60 Years between the First and the last trailer and Malgus is already in his 80s)
He sees the Jedi as weak, restricted and arrogant cowards who believe they alone know what is right and can't fail. And are basically way too restricted through their Code
But he also hates the Sith in their current form as he sees them as mostly self sabotaging and stuck in the past! The Sith of that era are very self serving, Racist and elitist. They literally fight eachother more than the Republic and barely anyone works together on top of the Empire basically refusing all "alien scum" (in other words anyone who is not Human, Chiss or a Sith Pureblood) and anyone that is not from some kind of ancient Sith family because of "traditions"
Malgus literally foresaw the end of the Sith because of this restricted worldview and infighting, thousands of Years in advance and tried establishing his own kind of empire. An empire where everyone was welcome, regardless of race, gender or social standing, as long as they have the will and the power to claim whatever spot they want for themself and that was obviously a huge thorn in the side of the Empire, which is why he is branded as a "traitor". Within a short time he basically managed to establish his own empire made up of Mandalorians, Trandoshans, Gamorreans and more, which even prompted the Republic and Empire to engage in some kind of forced cooperation to take him and his empire on together
During that last trailer he has let both the Empire and Republic long behind him and he is highly manipulating towards Sa'har! His words "All your Life you have been in a Cage. Once you are ready, break free" and putting her in this position was basically his way of forcing her to choose the dark side if she wants to survive, as it is her only chance if she doesn't want to die, while making her believe it was her own decision

Another correction. In the last trailer Malgus is not manipulating Sa''Har, he just tells her how it is. Malgus was ALWAYS above lies, deception and machinations. He considers that route as a weakness, as a sign that you are not strong enough to go for your goal and deal with consequences. Also he doesn''t force her to choose ''dark side'', His point is that she was in the cage of Jedi teachings of suppressing emotions and locking them away. He tells her to break out of cage and use her emotions, her passion and drive to help her survive. And yes He forces her to either give up, lay down in complacency like Jedi teachings would tell her, or to fight for her goal and herself and break free.
Pay attention to two moments. First is when he tells Sa''Har what that machine was for. Look at his eyes. Even though they are bloodshot, they are not Sith eyes. Second moment is at the end where he is able to open that holocron meaning that he has control over both light and dark side of the force.

@@metodi3777 I never said Malgus was the strongest Sith Lord of his era, though he is easily one of the strongest. Sidious even looked up to Malgus greatly and wanted Vader to live up to his example, in which Vader failed miserably.
In terms of feats, Malgus has killed hundreds, if not, thousands of battle hardened Jedi/Sith alike, whereas Vader hunted down Jedi in an era where the Jedi were at their weakest. The Jedi Vader hunted down were very incompetent and weren't nearly equipped enough to handle a Sith Lord. It's like the Homelander vs. Omni-Man debate; Vader is a big fish in a small pond.
As for Anakin, Malgus would still beat him. Anakin never got close to reaching his full potential, and while he was an expert duelist, he never truly tested himself against other lightsaber duelists aside from Dooku and Ventress. Malgus was killing Jedi and Sith daily. Anakin was only destroying battle droids. And let's not forget Anakin's emotions. He is extremely arrogant, constantly underestimating his opponents while at the same time overestimating his own abilities, and is quick to anger, which makes him unbalanced, which is responsible for most of his losses. Malgus is in complete control of his emotions. He is cold and calculated but is also capable of focusing his anger and fury to demolish his opponents. Yes, Anakin may have a closer connection to the Force than Malgus, but Malgus' mastery of the Dark Side is just too much.
As for Starkiller (for whatever reason), Malgus would still win for the reasons that I've already stated, and Starkiller also has a lot of the same faults that Anakin has, which Malgus would have no problems taking advantage of. The only things that Starkiller has going for him here are how unpredictable he is and how he's capable of using the Dark Side. But as i stated earlier, Malgus has killed many powerful Sith Lords in his time, and unlike Starkiller, Malgus is a master Dark Side user and has that experience edge over him.
Long tangent, I know, but blame my autism. Old Republic characters were just too strong.

And I'm not overestimating the Jedi/Sith of the Old Republic at all. Just because they aren't as well known to fans doesn't make them weaker in the slightest. Playing the games, we see that they're much more competent with their judgement and are well equipped to handle Sith Lords. That's just power scaling. The power scales tipped in the Sith's favour during the Skywalker Era due to the Jedi's incompetence, whereas in the Old Republic, the Jedi had fought in many wars against both Sith and Mandalorians, making both sides battle-tested, and their wisdom is unmatched, putting the Jedi and Sith of that era on an even playing field. The Jedi of that era were absolutely at the same level as the likes of Yoda and Windu. Many people just don't know that because the Jedi of the Old Republic aren't as well known.
And while I agree that Sidious is among the most powerful Sith Lords, I really struggle to see how he's THE most powerful. Seeing as he lost to Windu, we see duelling isn't his preferred style of attack, meaning he'd undoubtedly lose to the likes of Malgus and Revan, two of the greatest duellist in galactic history, and comparing his Force power to other Sith Lords, Nihilus and Vitiate beat him, as we have never seen Sidious pull off any kind of similar feat as those two. I know George Lucas said Sidious was the most powerful Sith Lord, but he said that before the Old Republic even existed. Going purely by feats, Sidious is outmatched, though I'm not saying he's weak in the slightest.

As a matter of fact I would even say that from the point of Coruscant sacking and post that, Malgus would have bodied BOTH pre-mustafar Anakin and any point of his life Starkiller, both at same time. Malgus simply DOESN'T stop if you are in his way, he WILL buldoze through and not just because he is skilled of strong with the Force but because of his tenacity, the unyelding force of will. The only cutscene battle he ''kind '' but not actually lost in on Alderaan, by being blindsided by Jace Malcolm, which gives Satele chance to burry Malgus under rubble. Hundreds tons of rubble, which Malgus survives without becoming crippled. Like yes you CAN defeat Malgus in his flashpoint, and in other moments of the game, BUT that is because it is done by player who is MAIN Character of the story, so OF COURSE they would defeat Malgus. But besides that Malgus have never lost a fight in his life. Unlike aforementioned Anakin and Starkiller who have suffered defeats, and in case of Anakin pretty embarassing ones at that.

@19:00 the thing about jedi vs sith is that the dark side of the force corrupts and erodes your judgement, and gives an effect similar to tunnel vision. Also like palpatine said in the movies, its a path to many unnatural powers. Honestly the jedi arent much better because they take the whole no attachments/emotion thing way too far and itll have the opposite effect of pushing people to the dark side like what happened to anakin. The dark side is way more dangerous because it will leave you like the 4th trailer, so blinded by rage that you kill your twin brother.

From Episode 1, through Clone Wars, through the Clone Wars Animes, and all content between Episode 2 and 3, Anikan was always about ONE thing. To Save People and Do the Right Thing, even if it defies the law, Jedi Code, and the Jedi Order.
But in Episode 3, the SECOND he cut off Mace's arm, a switch is flipped. He is fully corrupted to be the most pure evil person to exist. He literally kills CHILDREN for no reason other than the fact they exist. He cares NOTHING about doing good, he cares NOTHING about Justice, he cares NOTHING about saving people.

Satele Shan(how can she do that) is the great-granddaughter of Bastila Shan and (Darth)Revan.....Bastila had a special ability in the force called "Battle meditation" and I just assumed Satele Shan here just had a power that had come from that
She was using a force technique to absorb energy from Malgus' ligthsaber. That's why she could Kamehameha Malgus into the mountain like she did: she took the energy she absorbed and redirected it. Yoda did it against Force Lightning in the prequels and Vader did it when he blocked Han's blaster shots with his hand.

I know I'm like five months late, but I wanted to elaborate on the "Sith get stronger when they're hurt" thing. Sith can use pain, physical and emotional, as fuel to channel the Dark Side. This is one reason why Darth Vader is so strong despite missing so much of his body: he is in constant agony.

Guys, you clearly dont know much of the lore related to this. The Sith isnt even evil per se, in the game itself - there are lot of options to be morally grey sith or have certain codex of honor, if you like. You oversimplification of things just plain tiring to watch. Also, calling the descendant of Bastila Shan a "trash" is smth. These were no clones in this time period and the soldier that was in the first two cinematics was from The Havoc Squad - thats why he was able to do smth vs sith. And contrarily to popular belief - most of regular jedi or sith could relatively easy be killed with proper tools. In regards to the brothers - they arent from sith or jedi, their place called The Eternal Empire, they use both sides of the force. The girl in "Betrayed" cinematic wasnt given "evil thoughs" - her father was afraid of her power, so he send her to a place devoid of the force ( a literal torture for any force user), so she went nuts and only kept in check via special phrase that her father implanted into her mind. Malgus in the last cinematic wasnt trying to make her sith, he is disillusioned with sith and jedi alike at this point in story (but he is dark side force user and true to the sith code, afaik).

The p2w in Star wars the old republic is kinda discouraging especially to newer players half of the games mechanics are blocked by a temporarily removed pay wall and you also aren't allowed to have more then a million credits which restricts what you can buy and you can't progress over level 60 which also keeps you from progressing further into the campaign cause some of the missions require you to be at least level 70-80+) and half of the time the cosmetic/premium shop doesn't even work and your money still gets taken and there customer service is a complete joke cause it pretty much is non-existent putting simple game mechanics behind a pay wall like that isn't gonna give new players the incentive to keep playing but to delete it after only playing for a handful of weeks about the only thing nice about the game is the trailers and cutscenes.
its a free to play game that has like 60% of the game unlocked for free, you can spend like 5 usd to unlock the expansions and other parts of the game like preferred method.
and even preferred method unlocks like 80% of the game for only 1 time payment of 5 usd or less.
membership unlocks the mmo part of the game such as raids n pvp and higher credit limit, the game is well worth the membership price, all things in cartel market you can buy in the GTN galactic trade network.
making money is easy the higher level you are and some can be very passive such as crew skills for lockboxes.
game been out for 10+ years and recently we been having queuing for servers since population has grown, so i highly doubt you ever played the game and only here to cry
