The Old Republic is thousands of years before the events of the Skywalker Saga, so don't expect to really recognize anything from what you know unless it's an alien species or obviously lightsabers and stuff. A gold mine of untapped potential that unfortunately isn't explored enough.
@@thelazygamer1639 Sad part is, soon as Disney took over Star Wars, they declared everything outside the movies as non-canon, so everything apart of from he movies is no longer part of the lore. I would love to see a series or movies done on the The Old Republic, as The Old Republic is what got me really interested in Star Wars.
Btw, dat Sith is Darth Malgus. Old dude is Emperor Vitiate (known as Tenebrae and Valkorion too), he rules the galaxy for 1500 years. SWTOR is just too boring to watch imo. It is MMORPG like "World Of Warcraft". What you should be playing is "Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2". You guys just have to meet up with Revan. He is my favourite character in whole SW universe.
@@rainofkhandaq6678 Yeah disney sequels are not my Star Wars. Just reading "Legacy of the Force" book series and yeah, ill take Jacen Solo, Mara Jade and others any day over Mary Sue and other bullshit disney came up.
The twins and their sister were part of a nation that viewed the Force differently from Jedi and Sith. Where Jedi see the Force as a companion, and Sith, as a tool, the warriors of the Eternal Empire see the Force as a power that rewards Faith. The stronger your belief, the greater your reward. That reward, is the ability to wield even more abilities of the Force. What makes them so strong, is that they embrace the Force in its entirety i.e. neither Light nor Dark, but simply...The Force: Wholesome. Complete. Eternal.
Zakuul, the Sith Emperor's "Greatest Achievement" well at least when he's not on his last leg lying to his offspring. And yes he never told them about dark and light. He allowed them to view the force as a whole and recruited everyone sensitive as Knights of Zakuul, some ended up in the dark temple with the prophecy cult(cant remember the name). I guess a very low number could be hidden.
@GKeeper316 That detail went over my head. The more you know, I guess. Though I also find it sorta illogical that the sith cannot adapt even on such a base level.
The last two trailers focus on a single family. Father (Emperor), mother (leader of this empire's elite knights), twin sons, and the daughter. The mother wasn't given a choice in turning the daughter over to the monks. The father decreed it because the daughter was so powerful in the Force, just like he forced his sons to try and earn his favor by ignoring them and their accomplishments. Also, other than red being used exclusively by Sith there is no correlation between lightsaber color and what a person is or how powerful they are. And the ones the mother fights at the end are not Temple Guardians. Such things did not yet exist and those guys are decidedly NOT Jedi.
@GKeeper316 The previous lore was that the red crystals were artificial. The reason the sith used them was because the jedi basically had a monopoly on all the kyber rich planets. This forced them to use the synthetic crystals until it became part of their tradition.
@@Dragonblade722 They also weren’t referred to as kyber, as one, it was spelled differently, and two, the Kaiburr Crystal was a singular artifact that amplifies one’s connection to the Force in its proximity.
The last one with yellow sabers , are a third faction that fights jedi and sith hence reason all there blades are yellow , the old guy is lord viciate the first sith emperor

I really hate the "New" Dialogue in the 2nd and 3rd trailers, the Originals were so much better. You owe it to yourselves to watch them on their own. I don't know why they changed the dialogue for the 4k versions.
For real! Hope's Dialog was so awesome back when it first came out. I still kinda like Decieved but the old dialog gave it more of a vengance and calm anger feel too it. Rather than angst. "The long night is finally coming to an end..."
I think that this "New Dialog" is only in this video that compiles all cinematics + compiled one has broken soundtrack Probably people who made compilation did fan dub to avoid copyright strikes.
The old man in the last two trailers is emperor Valkorian. He leads the Eternal Empire Who fight jedi and sith in the war. So the guys with yellow lightsabers arent temple guards. Valkorian is secretly an old immortal sith emperor who wants to destroy the jedi and get rid of the sith competition so he can become emperor of the galaxy. The two boys , Arcann (white) and Thexan (Black) are his sons. The eternal empire was in hiding in the unknown region until the attacked the sith home planet korriban. Valkorian ordered only Thexan to fight, but Arcann disobeyed and went along , resulting in his injury.
@@radioactivetaco9579 He wanted to become immortal and he almost did on Ziost but then he just decided to move his spirit from body to body.. Looking for and trying to cultivate a powerful vessel to hold him
I think I remembered that Valkorian thought that the Sith would have an easier time conquering the Republic because they were weaken by the long stretch of peace then he would come in once Sith infighting wrecked themselves. But then Reven came along decades earlier and forced the Republic to militarize by starting a war against them and the whole thing with the Starforge.
@@ranran3902 Pretty much. It should also be mentioned that Valkorion's real name was Darth Vitiate, the one who turned Revan and Malak to the dark side. But I am not certain if he was in his original body at the point of Revan's corruption, or if his essence was already shifted into Emperor Valkorion.
(Note: The following is purely Legends information) The red skinned-Sith at the beginning was from the species of the Sith, the original inhabitants of the planet Korriban. They had a natural affinity for the Dark Side. The Order of the Sith was founded by Dark Jedi who called themself "Lords of the Sith" with "Sith" referring to the species. However, overtime, the meaning of the word "Sith" became synonymously with the DS force user of the Sith Empire and their beliefs which is why "Sith" changed from just refering to the species to refer to the entire Order of the Sith. The species was "renamed" to "Sith-Purebloods". Though, as far as I'm aware at least, they went extinct after their Empire was destroyed for good.
The Jedi in the first cinematic was indeed one of Mauls species. They are called Zabrak, but there are two different varieties. This one was an Iridonian Zabrak, while Maulis is a Dathomirian Zabrak. The space cowboy is called Nico Okarr, and in the game, you can literally play as a space cowboy, or better yet Gunslinger.
Lol the guy on the right has no clue what's going on in the Knights of the Eternal Throne trailer. It's like he literally tuned out any story elements and was only paying attention to action sequences and surface details like "cool mask" "nice graphics." I can't imagine how he processes entire movies lmao. We literally see Vitiate lead her away after banishing her mother, see the girl Vaylin lying down as the sith sages, or w/e they are, chanting around her. We see her grow up during this sequence, and the guy goes, "That's her?" BRUH. I can't.
It wasn't that he was tuning out story elements during that time, they were talking about Windu crushing Grevious's lungs in Clone Wars 2003, so probably weren't paying 100% attention to the trailer.
As a Star Wars : The Old Republic (ex-) gamer, it's so funny and interesting to see Star Wars fans discovering those old cinematics (2011) especially after the last trilogy. "So this is what we want, what they did for a video game ..... and this is what Disney gave us 10 years later. Ok..."
In the timeline, the events in these trailers are almost 4000 years before the Battle of Yavin. Thousands of years before Darth Bane established the Rule of Two. Then, there were legions of Sith, and the Jedi were warriors, as opposed to peacekeepers. And as for the last two trailers. The elderly man is the Eternal Emperor of Zakuul, Valkorion. He is the Father of the twin brothers and of the girl, Vaylin. Also, unbeknownst to all three of those children, Valkorion's body was taken over by the Sith Emperor, Vitiate (also known as Tenebrae), who had previously achieved immortality through a dark side ritual that he used to drain the life force of all beings on an entire planet. The Old Republic is very fantastical and pretty dark, but that is what makes it cool.
The last two trailers are about 3rd faction that is from edges of known space called Zakuul, the eternal empire introduced in one of the games expansions, they are force users but are not sith or jedi ... in fact they will actually invade republic and imperial space at same time .... there is bit more lore and story about them esp the emperor of zakuul, the twins, their sister the girl from the trailer, the woman in the white armor but it would be super giga long post Let just say old republic era (about 3000 years before episode 1) has some of the best lore, story and characters in all SW too bad disney made it non canon becouse they are dumb
It will always be canon for me. It's just too good to be ignored. The Eternal Empire adds so much more depth to the galaxy, which is usually only about two major factions basically fighting the same war over and over again.
@@bighappy13able It's possible the Knights of Ren are somewhat inspired by the Knights of Zakuul (any ressemblance between the 2 groups of Knights may very well be coincidental though), considering KOTFE and KOTET (the 2 expansions related to the last 2 trailers) came out in 2015 and 2016 respectively. I'd not be surprised though if it was not a coincidence considering that Palpatine was hiding in the Unknown Regions which is where Zakuul is located in the game, that his plan to take over Rey's body is very similar to what Valkorion actually did with the Outlander (aka the player), Kylo Ren is very similar to Arcann (the twin in white) too, even Arcann's potential (as it depends on what the player chooses to do with him) redemption is very similar. Difference is : SWTOR did it much better.
@@ewyna8409 would the Zakuul empire by chance be the same group that Grand admiral thrown was so worried about that he felt the need to join the empire
The game is called SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic). My children and I play on two servers. The hooded figure in the first three was Darth Malgus. The older guy in white in the last two was the Sith Emperor Valkorian. The two boys were Thenan (in black) and Arkin (in white) and the girl is Vaylin. It is a very interesting storyline in the game. I, personally, would enjoy watching you stream this
I would love to see a CGI movie made by the people who made these cinematic, because they get what makes a great Star Wars story. The fourth cinematic, with the brothers, is my favorite. It feels like a whole story, and such a good one.
@@KanekiKen-fc3qo That's not true. Din Djarin said he has't shown his face since he swore by the code as a child. That was during the Clone Wars, or shortly after they ended. So this rule had been around for a while, but it most likely didn't apply to everyone.

The old guy is Valkorion, he was the emperor of the old sith empire but now he's the emperor of the eternal empire. The sith that kept appearing earlier is called Malgus.
The old dude is Emperor Valkorion the leader of the Zakuul Empire who fights both the Sith Empire and the Republic, the female is the Empress Consort Senya Tirall. The twins and the girl are their kids, and he forcibly took Vaylin away from Tirall to make her to control her powers. The Emperor is also in reality multiple other persons, but I don't want to spoil to much if you ever decide to play the game. It is pretty good, overarching story is on par with Kotor in some regards (sometimes it dips in quality ngl). Especially the Sith Inquisitior and Imperial Agent story are top notch. The former you play as a power hungry lunatic who is quite possibly the strongest force wielder (depends what decisions you make) and the latter dives deep into intrigue during that timeline..
The last 2 episodes you viewed focused on "The Eternal Empire" , they are neither affiliated to Jedi or Sith, when you notice the two brothers placing down small cloth with lighstabers in them, it shows two Jedi Lightsabers & two Sith Lightsabers, they have their own affiliation. The old guy was called "Lord Viciate" who was originally The Sith Emperor before he shapeshifted his appearance and created his own faction. And the white skinned Sith was Darth Malgus who is quite powerful.
Some notable characters through the cinematics which make appearances in the game itself - Part I - Jedi Knight Satele Shan Smuggler - Nico Okarr Commando - Jace Malcolm Sith - Darth Malgus Part II - Same as above minus Nico Okarr Part III - Darth Malgus Mandalorian Shae Viszla KOTOR Part I - These are characters of the Eternal Empire of Zakuul - You have to play the game to get the meanings, don't want to give spoilers. Valkorian Twin sons Arcan and Thexan (Valkorian's Sons) Senya Tirall KOTOR Part II - Senya Tirall Vaylin (Valkorian's Daughter) - Due to her uncontrolled power, Valkorian sent her to the planet Nathema to undergo conditioning. Don't want to get into the how's or why's here. If you playthrough the storyline all is explained. Overall, it's a pretty captivating story.
I believe in the last video that the lady is the mother of all three kids, the twins, and the daughter. She tries to hide that her daughter can use the force because the father wants weapons. She did not give up her daughter she was forced to. That is why she tries to rescue her.
The old man in the final two trailers was Valkorion, the latest host for the spirit of the Sith Emperor Vitiate. At that point, he rules over the Eternal Empire of Zakuul, where the people do not believe in Dark and Light. His goal with his sons, Thexan and Arcann (the twins) was to have them build up a close bond as they took down both the Sith Empire and Galactic Republic simultaneously. Because he never acknowledged their accomplishments, Arcann grew to resent his father. When his anger reached a critical point, Arcann lashed out, resulting in Thexan pulling him back, accidentally unleashing his brother's fury upon himself. Upon realising he killed his brother, Arcann realised how quickly he could lose something, at which point Valkorion finally acknowledged him. Vaylin (the girl) is the younger sister of Arcann and Thexan, and was very strong in the Force from birth (in-game dialog mentions she could move objects around while still in the womb), which her mother Senya tried to hide from Valkorion. Upon finally discovering Vaylin's power, Valkorion took her to Nathema to cage and limit her power, which took years and heavily affected Vaylin's mind in the process.
The Old Republic is the mmorpg sequel of the rpg Knights of the Old Republic. The girl padawan, Satele Shan, in the beginning is a descendant of the two legends in KOTOR who will later be the Grand Master of the Jedi Order in SWTOR. Thousands of years before the movies and Jedi Knight game series.
"I don't know what Role that guy plays in the game." He's the Eternal Emperor... He can literally Consume a planet with the force. (Edit) He consumed his home planet at the age of 10.
about 3500 years before the films, its an MMO, the final 2 cinematics show the faction known as The Eternal Empire wich is not a playable faction, you either play with the republic or the sith empire
The reason some of the later trailers look really good is because they came out much later. The expansion with the 2 brothers came out in 2015, and the expansion with the little girl and her mom came out in 2016.
I do like Vaylin she has some Harley Quinn like thing to her ... but even at lvl75 IR306 fighting her is still a pain in the ... still have two toons not past her (healers) cause it takes forever ... prefer playing my Assa at the moment anyway ;)
The old guy from the two last videos is the Sith Emperor with a new name, with a new face, the sith emperor (Darth Vitiate) split his spirit and took Valkorion's body to prpare a complete erradication of Empire and Republic with the obhective to do a ritual to gain more power and be immortal
So basically the Old Republic timeline is around 4000 years before the Galactic Empire. More specifically, the RPG games Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 were set 4000 years before the Empire, and the MMO game The Old Republic (which is what these trailers are showing) was set around 300 or 400 years after those two games. In case you needed some context. Also, the last two trailers are about the Eternal Empire. Now, I don't know much of them because I didn't play those stories in the game. But they're not Jedi or Sith. And all of them are actually a family. The bearded dude is the dad, the woman is the mother, and the two boys and the girl are all siblings. Also, the games 100% do not look like this XD
The Old Republic takes place between 5000 and 2500 years BBY. The guy in all black during the battle in the Coruscant Jedi temple was in fact Darth Malgus. The mask he wore was after the trooper ignited that ion grenade between them. As for “that old guy” toward the end, he was the emperor of the Eternal Empire. The twin boys were his sons, but the girl, Vaylin, was also his child. The woman trying to rescue her was her mother. When dad saw daughter use the force in training, he kicked momma to the curb, well, kicked her out of the castle, and then had his daughter subjected to many torturous ordeals, culminating into the woman the mother struggled against at the end of the clip. When the troopers fought the Sith on the lush green world, well that world was Alderaan. Hope this info helps you understand it a little more. Oh, and BBY means Before the Battle of Yavin.
To explain the yellow lightsabers (and the more common colours too): When a lightsaber is crafted with a pure and new crystal, the lightsaber is colourless at first. The colour later changes according to its wielder. Blue ones are carried by guardians or knights, masters of swordsmanship and those who mainly serve as some kind of protectors of freedom or morals. The green lightsaber is a bit more rare because to get this colour, the jedi to wield the blade must be a skilled master of the force. Red lightsabers form in the hands of those who fuel their power with negative emotions such as hatred or sorrow. Finally, the yellow type of lightsabre is special, because the wielders of yellow blades are skilled in a vast variety of abilities, though they do not focus on the force or the art of the sword. Yellow lightsabre users are rarely known, because they are mostly that type of person who would conceal the fact that they are jedi. They used to be the jedi-orders diplomats or assassins. Lastly, there are some more colours, though those are mainly unique ones, so they do not fill a certain role or something like that as the mentioned colours do.
@@toutlemondesalut Then please, enlighten us with your wisdom and tell us how it 'really' works. (I am pretty sure my explanations are not the Disney version and even if they were, Disney is Canon nowadays, even though most of us dislike that fact.)
Fun fact the blue twiliek with Malgus in the third trailer is his wife. The twins are the princes of the empire and they were basically ignored by their father who rarely even faced them, always speaking with his back turned or through proxies. The one in the white always wanted his fathers approval and even after losing an arm his father simply took their report and turned away. Sad part his father always wanted them to turn out the way it did. As for the woman and her daughter that is technically the head of the royal guard and the white of the emperor (Also mother to the two boys) she gave her daughter to her father, the emperor, because he said so basically. Only to regret it later after the force vision. You see what happened afterwards.
The old guy is the Emperor. Known as Tenebrae, in the Old Republic he was Vitiate, and in the last 3 clips he is Valkorion. Same guy and one of the most powerful. the bald guy in the 1st clip (Malgus), is the same in the 3rd clip whit the mask.
the Old Republic was at least 4000 years before Episode 1...maybe more. problem is Knights of the Old Republic isn't just one story it is several...you could make an entire film series out of it and it would have to be at least 10 films...even then it would miss stuff out.
The old republic game is an MMO, similar to World of Warcraft. The genre isn't as popular anymore which is why it wasn't too big but the game is going strong. The last 2 trailers are for the Eternal Empire. A third faction fighting against both the republic and empire. The emperor for the sith empire at the time lost faith in the sith. He learned to transfer his consciousness to other people, and using that, he took control of a tribe hero on the planet Zakuul named Valkorian. He built up a hyper advanced empire over in the unknown regions under this new guy while also managing the Sith empire (but none of the sith knew). Eventually, your character finds the eternal empire and they begin their assault on known space. They were so strong that the sith and the jedi had to make an alliance to fight them. Good reaction! Hope this cleared it up
Fun fact those republic troopers in the second trailer, especially the guy without the helmet were part of a special republic squadron known as Havoc Squad, they are trained to combat against force users. So all them troopers fighting the sith in close combat it is what they were trained to do. I would explain on the other stuff like those “temple guards” but this would be long and I think someone else in here explains it first. And this sw era is set thousands of years before the the clone wars because the sith in cw follow the rule of two, and it’s after the era of Darth revan and bastila shan who are the ancestors of the Jedi lady in the 1st and hope trailer, satele shan. Hence why there is lore pieces in-game about them, mostly revan.
The game is a MMORPG. Basically think World of Warcraft, but Star Wars. It's pretty fun, I played on launch, you can play through a lot of cool stories with the different classes and races. It went free to play awhile back so can't hurt to try it.
Although this is before the rule of two, it is important to note that there are two Sith LORDS, but there can still be other Sith. For example, the Inquisitors of Darth Vader; they were Sith but the two LORDS of the Sith were Vader and Sidious. The Sith in this era functioned similar to the Jedi. They had an Emperor, but they also had a Sith council.
Mandalorians have always been able to take off their helmets.they did it all the time in rebels and clone wars. Then explain why Din Djarins specific clan does not in S2 of the Mandalorian. Even Tor Vizsla and the death watch removed their helmets in legends and they were some of the most militant violent MFrs around.
Maul's species is the Iridonians. His species is mainly settled on Iridonia (where most of the males are) but he grew up on Dathomir where his tribe settled. They're called the Nightbrothers and they are ruled over by the order of the Nightsisters, witches who use dark side magicks. Maul is the son of Mother Talzin, the leader of the Nightsisters, and he was kidnapped by Sidious off of Dathomir to be trained as a Sith assassin.
the thing in the soldiers hand was not a thermal detonator. Those are ball shaped grenades. When he charged the Sith he put a shock charge on his chest. The thing in his hand was the charges detonator. If he had a grenade in his hand he wouldn't have a hand anymore. That's why the explosion was blueish light rather then fire and why his armor was mangled, not destroyed.
During the old republic the different colors represent what type of jedi you were. Green for healer and diplomat and blue for guardian/warrior.with yellow being for those with special skill sets. Now in the EU star wars they didn't hold to the color system or even kiber crystals at all. Every jedi would use the force to find a crystal that called to them. Which is how Leia came to have a red lightsaber
The Old Republic is thousands of years before the events of the Prequel Trilogy and has some legendary people, Darth Revan/Revan, Darth Malak, Darth Malgus, Bastilla Shan and the Sith Emperor Darth Vitiate (The Eternal Emperor-The Old Guy)
SWTOR is definitely worth the pick up. Its an MMO, and the storylines for each character class are amazing. Definitely worth playing, finishes Revans storyline, explores the sith empire, etc. Definitely play it!

I would debate on this :P Vaylin is OP as F*** remember, her powers are locked away so who knows how much more powerfull she would be, if she was trained propperly. + Her insanaty makes her one of the best written villains in all of SiFi not just SW
Thomas Nieswandt Thats facts... the eternal emperor’s power isnt just raw like Vaylins. He also has an indomitable will that spans millennia... what power he doesnt have, he has the will to acquire, whatever the means... but i agree, the stories from the old republic, the feats and depth of their power are some of the best in any medium of action, scifi or horror. How Star Wars traded this for TFA and the rest of that drivel will always be a great disappointment
So the setting is approx 4000 years before the battle of yavin (A new hope) also known as 4000 BBY. Since this is pre-disney take much of this with a grain of salt as it is no longer considered canon (although many aspects are leaking back into canon especially thanks to Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau) 1. In this era the Sith are a race in of themselves who are naturally attuned to the dark side of the force. 2. The Jedi were once united and called Je’dai and followed balance of light and dark based on the 2 moons of the planet where the order was first created: Ashla (light) and Bogan (dark). Eventually some Jedi sought to study more of the dark and were banished. They found korroban and with the Sith species named their order the Sith. The lightsaber which is said to be a weapon of a Jedi is actually a sith creation first. 3. Anger due to how their former jedi brothers and sisters treated them they sought revenge. This predates the rule of 2 so there are many dark side users. 4. The Jedi to counter this no longer sought balance but sought answers only in the light side of the force (some say this is what was meant by the force now becoming unbalanced) 5. In this era the republic still has its own military. Those that look like clone troopers there are Republic troopers. The asthetics of the ships and weapons are callbacks to the known star wars movies at the time. Primitive compared to say the falcon but the look and feel is the same. 6. The darth maul species at the time were known as Zabraks. Not sure if that is canon anymore or not. 7. In universe it is said that ships like the falcon and the star destroyer are in fact based on these ships as the companies that built them are that old or own the company that used to build it. It laid the groundwork idea that the star destroyer design wasnt a new concept but a sith concept and sith war mentality.
Also mandalorians did not always have the rule of not taking off the helmet. That was really only during the mandalorian wars and brought back in the new tv show.
No it isn't, Legends is Disney, this is Canon [Actual Star wars Lore] although it is set 3k years before episode 1. Disney messed up the whole Star Wars series.
@@blackguardharper7005 The game is the one Star Wars property that exists in a limbo state. Neither fully canon nor fully Legends, because it was still in an active state of development when the Lucasarts sale was made and is still adding story content outside of Disney's creative control. Disney has incorporated aspects of the Old Republic games into canon such as the Mandalorian clan Vizla (the clan of the Mando in the third trailer) being a focus in Rebels, and confirming the existence of Revan in Rise of Skywalker background lore (from Knights of the Old Republic) but not any specific details about his life. Basically, SW:TOR continues to exist in its own little pocket, able to keep their stories going, but nothing that's in it is automatically considered canon. Also, Legends isn't Disney. It's the name given to the now non-canon aspects of what was referred to as the Extended Universe. For better or worse depending on your views, all of what Disney has made is fully canon.
The old guy, in the very stylish armor, is Valkorion. The Ruler of the planet Zakuul and their Eternal Fleet. He represents a third faction in the game, which is a threat to both The Old Republic and The Sith Empire. All humans that live on Zakuul are Force sensitive and Valkorion is the most OP, rivaling Darth Sideous at the end of 'Rise of Skywalker' Valkorion is actually the emperor of The Sith Empire reincarnated in Valkorion's body, which is why his most popular name is The Sith Emperor. Vaylin [the little blond girl] is The Sith Emperor's daughter. Her mother was the kickass hottie in white armor, Senya Tirall. She's the emperor's concubine and captain of his personal guard [not a queen]. The emperor showed no interest in fathering Vaylin because she was just a love child and a girl. He didn't know how powerful she was with The Force until he saw her nearly kill those five knights in the arena. That's why he took her away and Senya had no say. Fun fact: Vaylin was so powerful with The Force that she was causing furniture to move in the womb. The twins are named Arcann [the one in white] and Thexan ([the one in black])
timeline is 3000 years before the Skywalker's legacy. The videos with the gold sabers are an Order from the "outer universe". They are not sith nor jedi. In the video the brothers laid flags with weapons' down, this means they have killed masters on both sides. This Order does get entangled with the Sith vs Jedi universe. This game is worth subscribing too. try it out for a month. Once you have subscribed you unlock all content. You can always play for free, if you don't want to keep subscribing, but bang for buck it's an awesome game and worth the $15.
So here's the thing. The reason why the light saber battles are better in these videos is because you can make a CGI character do anything, but a real actor can not match what CGI can do. Now if the Star Wars films were CGI we would have had a completely different Star Wars films growing up.
You guys are awesome and got my sub. I also hope my info of the Sith helped out a little. I tried not to explain everything and only explained the main parts like the emperor and the dark council. Oh and the Emperor’s wraith and voice are actually apart of the dark council
22:09 they’re using yellow blades because they belong to the Zakuul empire... they use yellow and fight against sith and jedi so they’re like a third army who takes part in the war
Right so idk if anyone has said this The first 3 trailers are the first war and the 3rd one is the sacking or coruscant the last 2 are from the knights of the eternal throne expansions and the two twins thexton (black) and arkan (white) are the princes of the eternal empire of zacuul their father the old man in white is the eternal emperor who also turns his daughter vaylin (the little girl in the last one) into a killing machine and vaylin mum the eternal emperors wife doesnt like it so she trys to save her daughter but vaylin is to far gone. The eternal empire is neither dark or light and they arnt on either side and fight both factions in the game. Also the game is set 3000 years before the movies
I don’t think fighting skills matter as much in this case. There was no way the Jedi could have seen through Palpatine’s deception until it was too late.
@@CyberRelic280 What about the fight in the Palpatine's office in ep3? Three Jedi Masters went down in mere seconds. If the Hero of Tython and the Barsen'thor (Jedi Knight & Jedi Consular storylines from SWTOR) were there, they wouldn't have lost.
KennyG881 Ok sure. The ones you mentioned could have defeated Palpatine. However, what happens after that? You have to remember Palpatine had control of the senate, and the courts. Public opinion of the Jedi was also pretty negative at the time as well. So if the Jedi kill Palpatine, they would likely be viewed as traitors and order 66 would probably still happen. If the Jedi capture Palpatine and he is put on trial he would likely be acquitted. The Jedi who captured him would be thrown jail for conspiracy or something. So either way I think Palpatine wins dead or alive.
The old man is the Sith Emperor that kinda turns on everyone and starts attacking both Sith and Jedi to replace them with the Eternal Empire. The boys are his sons and the girl is his daughter and the woman is their mother.
Should check out the old republic novels. Really good stuff for the most part. Malgus's story is covered in Decieved and it's excellent. That was him in the first 3 trailers. You have to invest a lot of time for the whole story in SWTOR. Should be able to find it all on youtube.
So the old guy is the Sith Emperor of that time who body and mind jumps and the father of both the twins and the girl. The woman was his wife. BTW the planet was Alderaan.
This time period takes place 3,600 years before the star wars movies we know. The Villain is , also known as , the Sith Emperor and Valkorion, was the Dark Lord of the Sith and the ruler of the Sith . He declared himself as the new Sith Emperor and ruled over the Sith after the Great Hyperspace War. Also if Im not mistaken the 3 kids, the brothers nad the girl are sons of the emperor. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Vitiate Here’s the link to his story, Extremely interesting story that involves famous sith and force users like Revan and bane. Also yes the first 3 videos the villain is Darth Malgus. The game is like world of warcraft, It has like a 95% approval rating though.
In the first 3 trailers thats the Republic against the Sith Empire. No clones by that time only hardcore human soldiers. By then the Sith empire was divided by Emperor, Lords, acolytes, etc.(like a monarchist rule). And the jedi were more warlike faction, less spiritual more darker order. That in the last two trailers is the Eternal Empire, the old man was Darth Vitiate Sith Emperor. And those are more like sith acolytes than temple guards. The game is more lore wise not much about graphics. Still nonetheless extremely fun.
The old guy is emperor Valkorian of the world of Zakuul. He's the sith emperor in a new body. He decided that the sith and the Jedi were not worthy of his time anymore so he went quiet for the longest time and during that quiet time in the Sith empire he was the emperor of another world called Zakuul in the outer rim. He was so quiet for so long in the sith empire He had time to have a family. The woman and the little girl are his wife and daughter. The two boys are his twin sons. What you just saw was family drama. Normal in a force sensitive family in Zakuul.
its a mmo, the characters you see are protagonists in the story of the mmo but you cannot play any of them. It still holds up today as a very playable game. I have bounced on and off since 2010 playing it and it is good every time. the lore aspect is epic in it, every class has its own entirely indipendent story line for all 8 classes. If you like starwars and video games it is a must play!
So canonically the Old Republic takes places a few hundred years after Knights of The Old Republic and a few thousand years before the movies. So a lot of the story is loose enough for most storylines to be canon
One Caveat, Unless you are subscribed, there are a lot of things locked behind a wall. Free to play is an "option." However, I don't recommend it, you can't level a character to max level on Free-to-play.
That guy that looks like Darth Maul is a Zabrakian (I think thats spelt right) just like Maul is. The difference is that maul was born part pureblooded sith. The Sith are actually a species basically. You can tell if a sith is pure blood or not by usually Red skin.
everything in the game inlcuding side quests are all voiced acted (even ur created character) and may even include dialogue choices based on whether or not or solo or in a group and when in a group all team members roll for who answers/speaks/makes a choice and it does not impact any other players if a jedi chose an evil choice or a sith with a good option only how that paticular part of the story for the mission plays out and if u dont like the option u chose or wanted to give a team member to speak instead u all just hit the ESC key and it resets the dialogue to before speaking to them and theres also cosmetics for outfits and even light saber/laser bullet color options of colors never before seen and some have a mixture of 2 or even 3 colors which can look super dope whether ur jedi or sith but jedit and sith cannot play together (as far as i know) even if ur a bad jedi or a good sith, so u both will have to choose the same side to play together.
The old guy is what Sidious claimed to be, an immortal sith, the prior Emperor of the Sith Empire, possesing a new body and having created a new Empire, aka eternal Empire.
They're not clones. They're mostly humans. This is when the Republic had actual people not Clones fight their wars

@@annahenrietta9517 I think, the cult you mentioned was called the order of Zildrog. At least, those guys played a role similar to what you depict.

On the surface, yes. Valkorion's "real" name was Darth Vitiate.

(Note: The following is purely Legends information)
The red skinned-Sith at the beginning was from the species of the Sith, the original inhabitants of the planet Korriban.

"So this is what we want, what they did for a video game ..... and this is what Disney gave us 10 years later. Ok..."
ikr
The last two trailers are about 3rd faction that is from edges of known space called Zakuul, the eternal empire introduced in one of the games expansions, they are force users but are not sith or jedi ... in fact they will actually invade republic and imperial space at same time .... there is bit more lore and story about them esp the emperor of zakuul, the twins, their sister the girl from the trailer, the woman in the white armor but it would be super giga long post

It will always be canon for me. It's just too good to be ignored.
The Eternal Empire adds so much more depth to the galaxy, which is usually only about two major factions basically fighting the same war over and over again.
Funny how true fans make the old republic canon and the new movies non canon lol
i thought they were the knights of ren

Commando - Jace Malcolm
Sith - Darth Malgus
Part II - Same as above minus Nico Okarr
Part III - Darth Malgus
Mandalorian Shae Viszla

Senya Tirall
KOTOR Part II - Senya Tirall
Vaylin (Valkorian's Daughter) - Due to her uncontrolled power, Valkorian sent her to the planet Nathema to undergo conditioning.

"This is the sad part and you're memeing" 😭😭😂😂 truuue
I wish more people knew how truly deep and rich starwars lore is, beyond just the movies.
Ahem. He Killed his dad at 10. The planet thing was when he was around 100. Spent a lot of time, posing as unassuming bookworm.
about 3500 years before the films, its an MMO, the final 2 cinematics show the faction known as The Eternal Empire wich is not a playable faction, you either play with the republic or the sith empire
The yellow lightsabers are also sentinels , basically war fighers/protectors
That is the reason in canon, these take place in the eu.

Hope this cleared it up
Force crush is a sith technique.
You should read up about Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. Those came before Old Republic and set up the universe that it is.
Yeah it is... or better yet it was. With the fourth expansion, the game went on a downward spiral.
@@YAH93 its not TOO bad. My biggest complaint right now i just the content drought, but i get it because covid
@@l33_generic37 I used to play it since it became free to play. I have played it for many years and witnessed all the changes it ran through, from the skilltree-to-mastery skill system to the galactic conquest. And it felt to me, that with every expansion, it became more and more casual, until it was just pure grind.
@@YAH93 i get that. Its a different kind of MMO for sure. I personally like that you can basically play it solo if you want though. Makes it seem like youre as powerful as the story says you are. Plus for me personally, being in college, i cant really follow a guild schedule or even log on for weeks at a time sometimes. Lol
@@YAH93 I still resent the skill tree removal. It’s the biggest reason I quit. I had played since launch, and was one of the few original players left. I’ve come back here and there, but it’s never the same. I miss my Hybrid builds. I use to pvp as a Vengeance Jugg in Tank stance 25/11/14 (at least these were the numbers when max lvl was 60) was a lot of fun. Same with my Healing/Lethality Operative.
I love star wars the old republic. It's a awesome game. The old guy is Darth Malgus. The guy with the white hair, is the sith leader. But is playing all of them. Both sith and jedi. Republic and sith. He can switch bodies or something like that
i would love if they made a movie about the sacking of coruscant. it was such a historical event during the old republic
the sith you saw in all three of the "original" (i say that cuz 2 and 3 dialogue got changed original dialogue were better) was malgus. he was the vader of the old republic. lorewise sidious/palpatine took inspiration from malgus to make vader who he is during the empires rule.
I love this game and this era
also this takes place a few thousand years before the events of the Skywalker saga, and that guy with the breather mask is Darth Malgus, the same guy from all 3 of the non dlc trailers
Those trailers are actual mini-movies, enjoyable to watch by anyone, incomparable with the game.
The Old Republic is just filled with Badasses.
Tenebrae, Vitiate, Valkorian... The “old man” is arguably the most power character ever in Star Wars. The Eternal Emperor... Devourer of Worlds
Since this is pre-disney take much of this with a grain of salt as it is no longer considered canon (although many aspects are leaking back into canon especially thanks to Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau)
4. The Jedi to counter this no longer sought balance but sought answers only in the light side of the force (some say this is what was meant by the force now becoming unbalanced)
It's in the Legends continuity!! And it's 2-3,000 years before episode 1
All humans that live on Zakuul are Force sensitive and Valkorion is the most OP, rivaling Darth Sideous at the end of 'Rise of Skywalker'
Valkorion is actually the emperor of The Sith Empire reincarnated in Valkorion's body, which is why his most popular name is The Sith Emperor.
4:08 so in clone wars, there is a general named Krell. He is a jedi who weilds two double bladed sabers
So here's the thing. The reason why the light saber battles are better in these videos is because you can make a CGI character do anything, but a real actor can not match what CGI can do. Now if the Star Wars films were CGI we would have had a completely different Star Wars films growing up.
23:00 You wanna know who that old guy is? He is Emperor Valkorion, and he is not "low-key evil". His real name is Darth Vitiate.
If Jedi fought like this in the prequels, Palpatine's Empire wouldn't have existed.
Incredible Work 👍
The old man is the Sith Emperor that kinda turns on everyone and starts attacking both Sith and Jedi to replace them with the Eternal Empire. The boys are his sons and the girl is his daughter and the woman is their mother.
In the last two trailers they are familiy. The two brothers and the young girl are the older woman's children with Valkorian the old guy.
Not all Mandalorian clans have that helmet rule.
Yaaay more reactions to enjoy
Still nonetheless extremely fun.
you know hes a starwars fan when he quotes the prequels XD
SWTOR is a great game. I play it for the story it is filled with so much lore.
It was her mother... she tried to save her daughter after her son's were either killed or corrupted.
Idk why they changed the dialogue, the other ones were better.
They changed it because the original ones were inteded for the cinematic trailers.
These dialogues are made if you pick a Republic or Sith character.
its a mmo, the characters you see are protagonists in the story of the mmo but you cannot play any of them.
The white armored guy in the twins video are their father named Valkorion and he can be compared to the now time Palpatine during his reign back then
nico okarr, the gunslinging smuggler that never ages
Two guys, chilling in the hot tube (aka on the couch), 5 feet apart because they're not gay
Btw that ship looks like the Falcon cause it was made in the same place
One Caveat, Unless you are subscribed, there are a lot of things locked behind a wall. Free to play is an "option." However, I don't recommend it, you can't level a character to max level on Free-to-play.
That guy that looks like Darth Maul is a Zabrakian (I think thats spelt right) just like Maul is. The difference is that maul was born part pureblooded sith. The Sith are actually a species basically. You can tell if a sith is pure blood or not by usually Red skin.
Agreed, if Disney made an animated Old Republic trilogy, the Star Wars fans would go nuts, at least, I would go nuts.
everything in the game inlcuding side quests are all voiced acted (even ur created character) and may even include dialogue choices based on whether or not or solo or in a group and when in a group all team members roll for who answers/speaks/makes a choice and it does not impact any other players if a jedi chose an evil choice or a sith with a good option only how that paticular part of the story for the mission plays out and if u dont like the option u chose or wanted to give a team member to speak instead u all just hit the ESC key and it resets the dialogue to before speaking to them and theres also cosmetics for outfits and even light saber/laser bullet color options of colors never before seen and some have a mixture of 2 or even 3 colors which can look super dope whether ur jedi or sith but jedit and sith cannot play together (as far as i know) even if ur a bad jedi or a good sith, so u both will have to choose the same side to play together.
the old guy is the sith emporer vistiate known as valkcorion now because he can use essence transfer
The old guy is what Sidious claimed to be, an immortal sith, the prior Emperor of the Sith Empire, possesing a new body and having created a new Empire, aka eternal Empire.
Sure would be nice if people actually looked up the game they're watching a trailer for sometimes.
This is set 3600 years before the movies.
