Hi Sara! I'm so glad Sarah of Fiber Trek recommended your podcast as I've just finished binge-watching all of your episodes and it seems we share a love of colour-work and rustic yarns 🤗
I've knit 3 Marie Wallin patterns now and totally relate to your confusion with her shaping instructions! I wind up writing out a line in my own words for each row just so I know what I am supposed to do and I can check them off as I complete them 😂
I purchased Sidsel Hoivik's book awhile ago though I've not yet knit anything from it. I did however, purchase a kit from her website for Starry Night Longjacket in Hillesvag Vilje and Solje but when I swatched my gauge was way off so I need to do some math to adjust for my size.
Your Kofte's are both beautiful and I love those darling slippers! Already looking forward to your next episode! Happy Making 🤗💕

Thank you so much for taking the time to write out such a nice comment! It seems like we both like similar designers/patterns 😊. I’m so glad to hear that someone else was having problems with instructions, but I’m also sorry you had trouble!

For your slippers puff paint(comes in a multitude of colors) is better to prevent slipping on wood floors. Practice first on old socks. You could incorporate the puff paint into the color work design too. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestion of experimenting on old socks - very smart! It seems like puffy paint is the way to go

I am watching from Arkansas, USA. I am enjoying your podcast. I am currently working on a 1940’s vintage cable sweater, a 1930’s “ Claire jumper” I am modifying, and a lace cardigan ( longterm project). I like vintage clothing from the 30/40/50’s. I sew as well among other hand crafts . Thank you for sharing

Wow, that sounds amazing! Where do you find your vintage patterns? There’s another TH-cam channel that I like that you may also be interested in called “Just Vintage Crochet” - she crochets all sorts of vintage patterns, and some even from the late 1800s!

I tried the fabric glue dots on the bottom of my Lopi socks. I could feel the bumps when walking. Very uncomfortable. Next time I think I would purchase the leather bottoms.
