I just bought a Valkyrie Rune and I love it. I'd recommend a Valkyrie for an everyday cruiser. You'll not find a better engine, and it's all the power you'll ever need. They handle better than you'd think. Great bike.
I have the 2014 and the first thing I noticed was that I, like you, had to lean forward a bit to reach the bars, unlike on my CTX which kind of reaches back to me. How much of a job was it putting on the risers? Did you have to mess with any cables or replace any? If I could simply unbolt the bars, install the riser and re-bolt, I might consider this.
I owned the original Valkyrie loved it, currently on an 09 ultra classic. Kicking around either an F6B or new Valkyrie with current prices being very reasonable.
Nice bike, great information I was amazed that you could do a video on a motorcycle and we was able to hear you just fine! Nice way to close out on your video. Phenomenal job on your video!!!
I too need to raise the handle bars and the custom riser might help. Can you post a pic of the riser from the front so I can see how your builder made it?
I have the 2015 Valkyrie I just acquired and love the bike. Although, I feel like I'm leaning forward too much. Can you tell me the exact handlebars you purchased and did you have to modify the throttle and clutch cables any ? Thanks !
Nice wind shield..I bought one from ebay for about 100 bucks, and yours looks way better.. Also I think this is one of the best highway cruisers out there. It feels super stable and goes 100+ with ease..
I noticed that steering "flop" when I first got my valk too. But after a few weeks I stopped noticing it. I got used to just applying a bit of counter pressure with the arm that is on the side of the direction of the turn. It actually feels more stable to me now than my previous bike which had entirely neutral steering. It also makes the bike easier to turn at lower speeds, especially for such a heavy bike.
Hi. Could you please tell what risers were installed? Did you need new cables? Is there a video you seen to help with installation? Thank you for your time. Regards!
great to ride with your wife and not her on back. She went with a Corbin seat, it is a little stiff for first few months and gets fairly comfy after a while. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah, I got used to the seat after a couple months, but every once in a while it goes back to being uncomfortable for longer trips. I find that when I am wearing my work pants (bdu style cargo pants) I'm usually fine. When I am wearing jeans though it is a 50/50 shot that my ass will be numb after 50 miles or so. I'd love to get a corbin seat for it, but man they must make those things out of endangered rhino hide or something because they are charging a ridiculous amount of money for them.
May see you around somewhere. I ride a Navy Blue Kawasaki Concours. Really good video. I'll be starting to put out a vlog sorta like this one pretty soon, don't quite have everything I need yet but it's coming. Keep the rubber on the rode man.
couldn't figure out how to message you on youtube. But this is the guys website / bikeshop that did it. His name is Johnny. Nice guy...just tell him you saw the risers he did for the Valkyrie F6C...www.badazbikez.com/main.html
Gustafsson Windshield from florida is on mine ( Many styles and colors $250.00) and is more curvy and not so dark because at night dark sucks and you can't see much ( DEER ). Ebay bought 1 Valkyrie ( 10 for sale ) for $8,999.00 + tax + 3 year free warranty from Honda . Best deal ever .WORLD OF MOTO SPORTS Decater ILL . BLOW out sale All gone in a couple of hours on line.
i can't remember Fratres. When i get a chance, I will see if manufacturer name is on it and let you know. The bottom portion was fabricated from lexan.
I don’t like looking through a windshield. Also, I got My ‘98 Valk a factory shield years ago …and the transmission howled through it. It became a speaker. I have a ‘14 now. A windshield imo, does nothing positive for the appearance of the bike. If it’s tall it looks goofy. If it’s short it does nothing except putting more air in your face
A windshield is not "a must" at all. If you have no windshield you just get smooth, undisturbed, airflow. You can just lean into it slightly and cruise with no effort. You only need a windshield if you insist on leaning back on your bike.

Nice Bike, I am considering a 2014 Honda Valkyrie!

What windshield is that?

no audio

The only thing less comfortable than the Valkyrie's seat is having to watch a video that only has audio in one ear.
Great bike would be good video if you could hear what you were talking about
If you want a power power cruiser this is the way to go shame Honda made it just a couple years
Fantastic bike shame could hardly hear any words in video

You think you could speak a little lower
