Big Smitty Riding did a video on how to change gear oil. You may want to compare notes with him. That fill hole is poorly positioned for pouring. There's no way you can get a funnel in there with the exhaust right in front of it. I wonder how the dealer does it. Do you change gear oil on every oil change? Some say that is important. I question whether it's necessary. 80W-90! I had no idea it was that thick. There have been one or two other guys who've done oil change videos for the Valk. One was absolutely horrible, done on the street. You make it all look easy!
Thanks for commenting. With every shaft drive bike I have had I always change the final drive gear oil with every oils change. It’s a small amount of oils and usually pretty simple.
U like that high dollar stuff ...to me t6 does more than enough and never had an issue
Looks like an easy job doing the back end. I might attempt that job on my FJR this coming spring!
Yea pretty straight forward Don

Certainly less stressful than changing tires .😃
That’s for sure 😂
What tank pad do you have on there? Was it already on there when you bought it?
Yea it was already on there when I got the bike
@@true-moto-resto I like how it looks on there...going to try and find one like it!
I found a 2014 with 5000 miles on it, do you recommend me to go for it?
That’s pretty low Km, but you’d have to have a close look and make sure it’s been well cared for etc. I can’t recommend as I haven’t seen it
