- I bought a wrecked 08 R6s and completely tore it down and customized it for a very unique look. it was a fun build and planning on building more.
all parts i purchased were from eBay and worked great.

@@danpicka3772 lots of famous bike builders started with way less and really ugly designs. Talented people must still hone and sharpen thier craft! Gotta start somewhere. Not my style but I think he's on to something if he puts in the work

So this is how you prevent your bike from being stolen? Props for doing all this work yourself, welds look good, and doing your own thing. But... I'm gonna have to agree with pretty much all the other comments and say it looks bad. LED light bars are great, but that support bracket part is wack. I put 2x 2row LED bars on my FZ1 a year ago and made the most minimal bracket to mount them with. Looked so good I sold the bike for $1000 more than I paid for it with beautiful fairings in stock form. And that's all I did besides paint the bike candy apple green myself.
although i am a fan of the stock parts, i really admire what you did kudos man you don't deserve the negativity from all this keyboard warriors

Everyone is so stuck on a standard that ANOTHER MAN has created (painting, welding, etc) and labels it "professional." He comes and mount the tire HIS way, paint HIS way, build the frame HIS way, weld HIS way.. and out comes a work of art HE built and you humans call him "unprofessional." Good job buddy. I'm not the typical human that follows the rest of the world. I admire the difference, that separation you practice from typical society. That is why your property is custom, and their property is factory with a warranty to save em.

Man thats the scorpion stinger bike ! Nice crazy street figther as they use to be in the begining of the trend .for shure you can (could ) refine it and civilize it but there is always time to do so.keep creating.
Great work Man Love it!! just got a CBR 1000 from Copart for $500.00 and doing the same with the headlights and adding a camera system for the Side mirrors and back Camera in the cluster for those Damn Poe Poe!! LOL When i get bored plan on making custom fairings out of Carbon Fibre been working on my mold making skills.

Cut the sharp tail frame..change the head lamp to old style..change the tank..u have cafe racer...btw nice job especially the handle...keep it up

I'd say it's a pretty good build (except for the lighting system and crash cage, just get sliders) but that rear subframe has a really high chance of impaling you or another bystander if you fall!
It was my first custom build, I had some fun I learn a lot and I probably would have changed some things if I did it again.

No way in hell would i have reused that rear tire!
Ronnie Godfrey it actually was in great shape, I was going for inexpensive on this build I only invested like $300-400 after I bought it to finish it completely. And a new tire would cost me $100 when I had still had a good one

And saving $100 on a part which will kill you if anything goes wrong, sounds like a great idea.... NOT

Yes, at the 2006 year Yamaha R6 got famous and legendary bike design up to 2016. But last month produced 2005 R6 models oformed on market 2006 year, thats why you got old desing with new generation year
R6S is based off the '02-'04 R6. They made 'em up untill '09 i think. '05 R6 has upside down forks & is a 1yr design, then the new design came in '06.

You should custom fit a seat though, give it a complete look.
I personally didnt liked that sharp pointy tail section, u should have either cover it up and made it look good or completely avoid that..

Great choice for a project bike. R6 parts are super cheap in comparison to other manufacturers. I mean oem parts btw.

Needs a custom seat to go with it, but for an inexpensive build it looks good (besides the spike on the sub frame don’t see the point in having it angled so high tbh)

Gonna say most people watching this are bike enthusiasts themselves. It's getting hate because all the bike needed was a rim and new fairings yet he decided to spray paint and tig weld a crappy subframe its not just the bike as well subframes are made a certain way for safety. It is also the worst example of a street fighter I have ever seen.

I like that sub, if you cut about a foot off, dragon tail is not a good look! Good shade tree project though.

I think the headlights would look better upside down(the slope pointing downwards) so it shoots the light better. What the use of clutch pull assist? Anyway you sliding the bikes with shorts gives me anxiety. Pretty sure that tail shouldn't be legal.
