    Just discovered your channel dear Bob and wow... I'm waiting for the arrival of my Wooting 60 HE (at the end of march, like many EU people).
    Just getting interested about mods, especially for what is actually the best Keyboard (to play competitives FPS for sure). Thanks very much, for showing pretty much all the steps needed if the right materials are purchased for it.
    Unfortunately for ISO French Keyboards, the choice of keycaps is very limited...But I'll manage *
    Stumble accross your channel after typing "switch khail 8.0", I don't think i'm ready for the full moding of my g pro x wireless like your amazing work on your video 49g gproxw but I'll try the basics.
    Also for purchase from your shop, tried to "estimate "shipping fees", don't seem to work for France. Is it possible to ship you items from France for professional mods ?
    To conclude, thx for your content (glad to speak a bit of English also) because there's nothing close to this in French.
    I'll promote your content the most I could.
    Cheers. Gwen

    Just something to keep in mind, as I see you've grabbed a custom coiled cable. You ( or anyone else) are likely to run into problems if you want to use the Tachyon mode. Here's a copied comment on another video from wooting themselves :
    Tachyon mode is freaking out on you due to the coiled cable you use. The coiled cable length vs thickness is not proficient for our requirements when running RGB at full brightness and turning on Tachyon mode. Tachyon mode and especially RGB LED draw a lot more power. When using a thinner/longer cable, it'll not be able to steadily keep up the required voltage causing it to faux activate the hall sensors (keys)

      Good to know, I’ve not noticed a difference should i

    • @amshermansen
      @amshermansen ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a combination of how far the keyboard pushes USB specifications, signal loss due to cable length and potential lack of shielding (aviators don't hlep)
      Lowering brightness or not using Tachyon both reduce the power draw and signal intensify, which can workaround longer cables.

TKL, I've been watching their various twitch streams/update videos and reading between the lines of some of their comments makes me think their next board is going to be a TKL but it won't be announced until next year and probably won't ship until 2024. Give the Wooting 2 HE if you just want a normal board, it's a really good board.

    • @emanueleapuzzo
      @emanueleapuzzo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Beardedbob To be ULTIMATE it must be at least a 75% WKL gasket mount, the WASD switches and the most used keys must be modded with much lighter springs and preferably with a very noisy feedback click, while the rest must be tactile from 65g, to avoid false inputs. The stabilizers need to be lubricated much better and preferably TX. Finally you need a PCB with polling rate software. The GMK ABS keys are the absolute worst choice for gaming, they are shiny and smooth and above all they are not backlit. The more expensive choices don't always make sense, indeed in this case they make the build completely useless for night use. You need much more resistant PBT double-shot keys, so you also need a north sided PCB, this is because the backlit keys are oriented to the north, and above all the Cherry profile is too high and spaced, you need a low XDA profile. The AWG28 coiled cables are too thin, and worsen the RGB performance of the PCB. An AWG24 straight cable without aviator connector is required to limit interference. Finally, needed a greater inclination of the keyboard.
