    Hey all, I made a mistake in my video about the dual actuation, this board actually has DKS (its a very cool feature that could honestly be a video on it's own, lol) But below you will see a message from rooting to me just covering this. Sorry for the mistake!
    >>>>>>>> I think the problem is that in the video you didn't go into enough detail on the difference between what Steelseries and Razer call dual action and what we call Dynamic Key Stroke (DKS). It's technically correct that we don't have Dual action, as it's a slightly different behavior.
    Dual action just takes 2 "zones" in the switch travel and you can assign a different key to each zone. While DKS takes 4 fixed behaviors (start, end, release end, release whole key) on which you can assign up to 4 key actions on. In addition, you can assign it to be in a continuous "active state" or it to just trigger once. It's much more refined and useful.

    Wow since when does Wooting have their software as a webpage? This sounds like such a great move. Less bloatware on the PC is always good. I wish more companies will adapt this.

    For apex and valorant having very specific strafes and movement tech in apex, this is insanely cool for that. Because a lot of apex techs require 3 frame windows or fast lurch inputs so the more key presses you can do in a shorter time frame with instant resets, is a godsend

  • @mimp8365
    @mimp8365 2 ปีที่แล้ว +32

    6:05 Correction; the Wooting 60HE still has this feature and it is not discontinued (Really weird that they said that, who did you ask?). It's under the Advanced Keys tab and it is called DKS (Dynamic Key Stroke). Another feature is Mod Tap, it allows you to bind 2 keys to one, you can hold your key for the first action and tap it for the second. The last feature is Toggle Key which does what it says, if you tap it, it will hold the key until you tap it again, just like a light switch or Caps Lock.
    Edit: And no, it is not overrated. Wooting pushes the boundaries of what a keyboard is and they know what a keyboard can be. By no means am I saying that this is the perfect keyboard but I am saying that it's the perfect key board (PCBA) in today's market. You're right, it is not for the people who press a button and expect a single input, it is for those who utilize the features that the board brings.

    • @TheTechne
      @TheTechne  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Interesting, not sure of a direct name. But it was wooting directly.
      Are you sure your not thinking about the release point feature?
      And I agree, it’s just like say the new SteelSeries nova wireless headset, expensive very, but if you can justify and utilize the product to its fullest, hands down it’s solid. Heck same with any product really.

    • @mimp8365
      @mimp8365 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@TheTechne I’m going to assume that they misunderstood the question because they’ve always given me accurate information about anything really, and believe me I’ve asked a few.
      No, I’m not talking about Rapid Trigger and yes, I am very sure. The only difference between the 60HE and the 2HE are the numpad and f-row (and onboard storage), all their features are identical. Anything the 2HE has, the 60HE has, and vise versa.
      Indeed, that goes for any product really. I do think that yes, overall the keyboard’s features are still gimmicky but keyboards keys aren’t going to go away for 8 years, maybe decades to come (I think* I’m not from the future), and there’s only so much one button can do and Wooting has almost perfected it. From Advanced Keys to Analog, it’s got it.

    rapid trigger is definitely the biggest selling point. Straffing would be so smooth with this keyboard in valorant. Valorant has a massive community. That is where this board excels. Imagine you stop on a dime the moment you start lifting off your finger. You can pretty much swing a corner so quick stop on a dime and have perfect accuracy without worrying that your character is still in motion. This keyboard is insane ill tell you that. Excited for mine :D Great review though!

    +1 to the TKL waiting room! This is what i do not understand about form factors. For example I miss the "0" key very much on 60% boards, but every form factor even the 60% kept the "alt" + "control" keys at the right side. You have 2 keys from all of them and personally i never used the ones at the right side ever. Would be nice see a keyboard without these with a dedicated "0".

    Don't throw away your hard earned money people. These revieres all get the keyboard for free,! If you actually send Wooting your money lol, don't plan on seeing a keyboard before 2024!!! The company has no manufacturing budget or controls, you will be waiting in a long que while they ship what products they can push out to reviewers only. Stick with mainstain labels, companies that have a viable customer service department, not a smoke and mirror discord channel! There is no reviewer who will vouch for the availability or warranty handling of this product! Don't give your hard earned dollars to these crooks!

    When someone unironically calls a keyboard chassis... not even an entire keyboard, just the chassis - cheap... and that at the price point of 100$. Is this the nVidia logic where you can bargain purchase an rtx 4090 for only 1600$? Snek oil, I detecc.
