Hello, I’ve been stitching in a rocking chair on the front porch of my 85 yr old cape farmhouse in Barrington, New Hampshire. I lived across the river from, and had beautiful views of NYC for a while and would sit on the balcony watching the cruise ships come and go. One of my happy places!
So much to comment on! LOVE being in the phase of life where I have, and enjoy, alone time. My daughter has moved on to adulting outside of home, but my son still lives with us. He and his dad are firemen so every other day they are BOTH gone for 24 hours. 😁 Now if I could figure out how to stitch for a living! I live in a little town outside of Williamsburg VA (Lanexa). I LOVE being so close to the birthplace of America, although I didn't appreciate it earlier in life. I also love to tell folks I was born and raised in LA and watch folks try to match my accent/mannerisms/etc to Los Angeles! There are a few flosstubers I listen to specifically when I need that calming voice: Dena at Half Stitch Cross Stitch, Caroline at Off the Grid Needlearts, Crissy at Finally a Farmgirl and Liz and Deb of Country Stitchers!!! NYC

I am watching from the Pocono Mountains in NE Pennsylvania, near Scranton. I can be in NYC in 2 hours to visit my daughter, who is turning 30 today! That fabric is just Gorgeous

I’m living in Lawrenceville, Georgia until Thursday. I’ve lived here the last 24 years, but Thursday I moved to Palmyra, Virginia (outside of Charlottesville.) My husband and I drove through NYC on our honeymoon 44 years ago. We didn’t get to spend anytime because we were on our way to Cape Cod for the week. Never been back…. I rather see the beach or the mountains when I get away.

I just found your fun flosstube, yay! I am watching from the Monmouth, Oregon. We live out in the country about 12 minutes from the small college town of Monmouth. We have 16 acres, chickens, and a vegetable garden as well as fruit trees. It's a beautiful place to live and I cross stitch most days for a few hours. I'm watching from a small village in the West of Ireland where the mighty Shannon river flows. Many years ago I spent exactly 48hrs in NYC with my late Dad. I saw the outside of lots of exciting places from the tour bus & have always promised myself that one day I would go back & see inside some of those places. My abiding memory of that time is from the top of the Empire State building at night with my Dad meeting another Irishman & discussing the weekends GAA (sports) result's, a completely surreal moment. I used to shop at the previous Welcome Stitchery in Crystal Lake when I visited relatives in Illinois. I am so glad to see it go on in Minnesota. I live in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and I love it. It is an absolutely charming city just outside of Louisville on the Bourbon Trail. You need to come and visit. Have fun in NYC!!!
@@welcomestitchery4934 Yes. The only bad thing is that the distilleries are located in dry counties -- so no tasting. Maker's Mark does give you a bourbon ball -- yummy!!!

My husband and I took our first train in March into NYC to see Wicked on Broadway. We spent the night and walked around the city the next morning. I loved Grand Central Station and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Hope you enjoy your stay. We live in Broad Brook Connecticut. I wanted to say that I’ve been collecting the threads for the Gigi R Red Deer pattern for the last few months and just ordered Aida fabric to stitch it on all because I see it every time I watch Carol Saltbox Stitchers video too. I just finished blackbird designs Christmas Garden and I’m working on Turkey Hollow also. Seems like we have similar tastes in stitching

I used to shop at the previous Welcome Stitchery in Crystal Lake when I visited relatives in Illinois. I am so glad to see it go on in Minnesota. I live in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and I love it. It is an absolutely charming city just outside of Louisville on the Bourbon Trail. You need to come and visit. Have fun in NYC!!!

@@welcomestitchery4934 Yes. The only bad thing is that the distilleries are located in dry counties -- so no tasting. Maker's Mark does give you a bourbon ball -- yummy!!!

My husband and I took our first train in March into NYC to see Wicked on Broadway. We spent the night and walked around the city the next morning. I loved Grand Central Station and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Hope you enjoy your stay. We live in Broad Brook Connecticut. I wanted to say that I’ve been collecting the threads for the Gigi R Red Deer pattern for the last few months and just ordered Aida fabric to stitch it on all because I see it every time I watch Carol Saltbox Stitchers video too. I just finished blackbird designs Christmas Garden and I’m working on Turkey Hollow also. Seems like we have similar tastes in stitching
