You can stitch on black material, which is something I haven't even caught the knack of, even on 14 count. Sigh... And you have great variety in your subjects!!! Keep up the good stitching!!! I just found this first episode today (and I'm still watching) but wanted to tell say you have a great channel!! I love that you are doing different patterns than I've been seeing from others. The ghost on a mushroom was so cute, and the Horrorflies is *gorgeous* - I hope you continue with it! You are really interesting and have definitely come to the right place to share all your stitching. I subscribed and can't wait to catch up on your episodes. You did a great job on your first video. The Luna Moth piece, if the light pink still doesn't show up, cause with 1x1 the stitches can sometimes get lost, try that darker colour that is across the top of the wing.
Great idea! I'm currently ripping out one of the wings because I miscounted:/ but I decided to fill in those empty stitches and I agree that darker color would look great!

On the green house of oddities if you want to continue you it, but worried where you frogged to get rid of the look where you use a soft toothbrush to rub over the area and it should get rid of the black fibres 😊

That was a great first flosstube video! I love your pattern choices. The banjo playing possum was one of the first ones I did when I got back into cross stitching about a year and a half ago. I know exactly what you mean about driving your family crazy with cross stitch talk. I don't have any friends who stitch either. I don't even have an LNS. You have some really pretty projects underway. Your pink moths are so gorgeous. I really like your Horrorflies. If you aren’t feeling it right now just hang on to it. You might get back to it later. I love your Away we ride. I had to laugh when you said you would count everything from one point and then everything would be perfect! I’ve been doing this for years and I don’t think I’ve had one perfect project yet! Keep up the great work and I’ll look forward to your next flosstube! (and I adore Marjorie Made as well! She has some great projects!)

Thank you so much! I really needed to hear that about the negative space. I was feeling paralyzed moving forward with the project as I've never added anything to a pattern before.
@@theshakystitcher sometimes half the fun is in changing a chart to suit yourself. Adding stitches or changing a colour can make the piece feel more personal. I used to just stick to the chart, now I will make changes. It’s fun! 😄
I think you are doing great. Did you know that your Aida has a name of the color on them?. I love what you are doing.you are much braver then I. I couldn’t talk to the camera or to the public. Your are doing such a good job. I learned how to cross stitch by watching u tube videos as well. My hats off to you and I also like Halloween witches and creepy patterns. Keep up the good work. I will definitely watch you again.
Not me watching an hour-long video on a hobby I don't have (yet). Can't wait to start though, so when you're being "annoying" about cross-stitch I can actually provide accurate feedback.

I'm excited to post an update!
You'd be surprised at how small a margin a good framer can work with. An inch is often enough, and even if it isn't in a particularly problemsome piece the framer might sew a strip of muslin to the margin to expand it. It won't show in the finished product. Enjoyed this good job.

You did so well! Possum Song cracks me up. I've had the pattern for a long while, but haven't started and so it's good to see yours underway. Curious if you have essential tremor? Just wondering, my 14 year old daughter just seemed to develop it overnight within this past year. I'll be watching your next video. 😊
You know, you are the second person to ask me if I have essential tremor and I had never heard of it before. Might need to go get checked out honestly. I've just dealt with the slight shakyness for years. Thank you for watching and I'll be back in two weeks! 😁
@@theshakystitcher I was told it usually runs in families, although we have no familiar history of it. Also, there's nothing that can be done for it. She was told to avoid caffeine and that physical therapy could help with some tasks. We've been waiting for 8 months to get into PT. She deals with it fine most days, but there are days she's shakier than others and she gets really frustrated trying to put on eyeliner. 🪡
