  • OOOOOOH~ It is like watching a cool dude hanging out in a club. Nothing too fancy but just chilling and being attractive. The 80's vibe is killing me. Lol

    Actually he said that even this choreography was demanding in a different way, precision and elegance. Looks easy but is harder than it looks.

    I love jimins freedom now to utlize his contemporary dance movements into his songs. It is such a beautifully elegant and sensual art. No sharpness just fluidity that mesmerizes you...and thats who jimin is..

      @komerican-og  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You gotta be pretty good and confident to be fluid and slow it down. Well Jimin has no problem with that obviously.

    This was definitely 80s; I was clubbing as an 18, 19…year old and THIS was it! Very nostalgic indeed! Also, this song needed this smooth groove for choreo…anything ‘harder’ just would not have fit / complimented it. Jimin is just incredible!

    This choreo is made so Jimin can dance and sing live and it fits the vibe of the track well. He doesn't really need to be doing flips like he did during debut!💜

      Yup....but he could really flip.. Haha! The choreo has to fit the song and it does perfectly.

    He said he was a little tired. . Still, he did an amazing job, and he liked how it came out, so he kept the recording. And from what I see now, he posted it. Nice.

    Yes you're right abt it him taking a step back with this choreo. The intensity or tempo of the choreo would be similar to that of Serendipity than to a choreo of SMF.Pt2 or Lie. Jimin is one of the most versatile artists, dancers and singers of this generation.

    The dancing in this one feels so soft and sensual. It's more about grooving to the music and riding the tempo more than showing off. It's dream-like and entracing even though it's upbeat. I really love seeing Jimin dance. He is so in touch with his body and the music that he has room to emote and focus on performing to the audience. It's nice that he has the range. There's something about him that reminds me of Michael Jackson but I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't know if it's his vocal tone or the way he moves or what. My mind just goes to MJ sometimes when he performs.

    • @komerican-og
      @komerican-og  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of.his moves are heavily influenced by MJ and sometimes when he turns on the heat.... he has Prince vibe. For me anyway.

      @@komerican-og Oh that's what it is. Prince! I didn't catch it before but he does have some elements reminiscent of Prince in him too. It's so obvious now that you pointed it out. Especially that mix of sharp masculinity and soft femininity that made up Prince's graceful yet powerful energy.

    • @komerican-og
      @komerican-og  ปีที่แล้ว

      @ZariDV he had James brown type of moves too. Quick spins and turns. Jimin also has that sultry vibe that MJ never had.

    The troubled love story in the LIKE CRAZY movie which Jimin said had inspire this song is possibly a parallel between Jimin and ARMY. Jimin couldn't meet ARMY during the pandemic, he couldn't do live shows and for someone who live on the stage and for ARMY, that was crazy depressing for him. We know that Jimin is a drinker. He could be drinking to escape his sorrows. I hope its only that and not other things, the English version specifically mentioned "ice", yikes. I hope its just ice in his drink. hehe. Jimin's personal messages to ARMY have also been the most hard hitting addressing mental health. When Jimin performed again at MOTS:ONE concert, he was overwhelmed and broke down and cried and shared that he suffered so much, how difficult it was not to be able to perform for ARMY. He also said recently that the album is his personal chronology during covid and has to do with his Depression. There are other theories floating around too such as the link to Anima, one of the 4 MOTS Jungian concepts not explored by BTS yet (RM - Persona, Suga - Shadow, Jhope - Ego). In the dance practice version, we can see the girl and Jimin dancing together, they are mirroring each other's moves. So the girl could be a reflection of himself, his Anima. The meaning of the Anima is one's true self in the subconscious level which often get manifested in dreams. And this whole mv is a dream.

    • @komerican-og
      @komerican-og  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup. You are. You are a serious Army. Good theory. I need to ponder it for a while, though. One thing is clear. It would be just cold ice. Thank you for being super helpful.

    I am intrigued on what your reactions will be to his other songs in the album. They say it has to be listened to in chronological order .hmmmm! It's true this song gave me a nostalgua feeling as well because we use to have our dance practices in an indoor basketball court, Even the clothes and disco pub ambience is very reminiscent of that time.

    Jimin could definitely dance Like Crazy "harder", but the dance practice is how he performed it live. We've seen behind the scenes of dance practices that were actually rough drafts or pre-concert rehearsal where Jimin goes 50% because he's just blocking the choreography and still wants to conserve all his energy for the real performance. But Like Crazy seems to be something he dances at a chiller pace on purpose. Maybe because he has to sing it live. Maybe because he's going for the impact of small movements (Taemin's Move was like that). I do see what you mean though. But that's how he performed it live, so I think that's technically as high energy as it gets.

    • @komerican-og
      @komerican-og  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point. In my opinion, he would not sacrifice dancing so that he can sing it live. We have all seen him do live singing while doing some ridiculous dances. Actually, all of BTS have done these.... inhuman performances. I would guess it is more of a vibe that fits the song. I think it is a perfect fit for the song. ^^ Just my take. Thanks for your support and interest.
