On April 29th, 2023 "THE GATHERING" Continues to highlight local black street dance culture and music. From commencement to closure, there will be a clear demonstration of dance genres indigenous to the Black diaspora. Local street dance communities including communities have pledged their participation to raise awareness about the cultural significance of their respective dance forms. Throughout our monthly event, there will be opportunities to witness dance cyphers that will test the fortitude of each participant based on their knowledge, practice, and study. Ultimately, we desire to expose and align the work of the street dance community with that of the broader dance community as a point of order. As our event continues to grow, we need support to cover expenses on the rental to ensure this monthly event is an experience for the dance community and the general audience, who love to witness incredible movement and networking. By donating, we will have a more significant opportunity to reach our goals to provide an amazing experience. The Funds will cover:

This choreography was not featured in the official movie video which was sort if cinematic. But he has performed this choreo on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show and several music/variety shows in Korea all of which can be found on TH-cam. I believe this was filmed in Korea since tge dancers are all Korean. For the Tonight Show, his dancers were American. In addition, there is a behind the scenes video that shows the the actual piecing together of both this choreography and that of Set Me Free.
Jimmy Fallon show if filmed a bit too dark, better to see live performances from KBS Music Bank live performances, or Mnet Mcountdown, for Jimin “Like Crazy”!

@@jupiter3048 - IKR! But yet for some reason, everybody is requesting that one! But not only is it filmed so it’s so hard to see the choreo, but it’s also the least safe to react to on YT! Don’t know why nobody else aside from myself is requesting the live performance of Jimin “Like Crazy” from either KBS Music Bank or Mnet Mcountdown, which lately reactors don’t seem to be having a problem in posting without it getting removed, like the Jimmy Fall9n one does, unless you put a filter over or blur it! But then if you can’t actually see it what’s the point! Lol!

Just saw yet another channel who chose the Jimmy Fallon performance to react to, and though it lasted a day or so, it did get removed just like all other channels who react to it. That tv broadcast as well as all others in the US will get blocked and or removed due to copyright infringement. But happily, recently the ones from the tv broadcast in Korea have been a bit safer Tobit react to. Personally, also being that they e practice the dance with Jimin for way longer, the quality of dance to me, is preferable as a whole. In any case, I do keep wondering why everyone request a vid that they should be well aware by now, not safe to react to, because it will get removed, unless it’s filtered or blurred! Why watch a reaction, where you can’t even see what’s going on since it’s blurred out?
The dance practice studio is in Hybe building in Korea. The artists are able to utilize many different rooms for practice.
Choreographer Laurence Kaiwai for Like Crazy, mentions he loves the way Jimin performs so smoothly. so talented!

The choreo isn't actually in the MV. But the Jimmy Fallon performance live of this was amazing. I started following the girl who dances the duet with him in the Fallon performance. She is amazing!!!!

Jimin's dancing, the choreography yes, but the way he dances always in tone with the music. And as you mentioned from his head to his feet, but also to the fingers of his hands, the music goes through all his body

You’ve prob heard this before but his foundations are in contemporary and modern. So he for sure loves story telling aspect of dance. He’s also extremely meticulous and calculated in all his dance. He kinda just lives in the dance studio lol. He used to practice to an unhealthy degree but his members kinda helped him out with finding that balance

Personally. Personally, I think the performance on Jimmy Fallon is the best. Not because Jimin dance any better but because his backup dancers in NYC did.
The female dancer at the back here feels to me like she dances better and should be at the front doing the solo with Jimin.
All and all one of the best songs and one of the best choreo I have seen in 2023 so far. If not THE best.
So relieved to hear real dancers talk. It got a bit frustrating listening to some kpop fans talk about this choreo being “flat” and “boring” because they are used to dance as movements rather than a language of stories and feels.
I just can't understand them not recognizing, at a primal level, the sheer poetry in motion that superbly skilled athletes/artists create!

As others have said it’s in the Hybe building. It’s a very cool space. One wall is actually mirrors, but there are remote controlled black shades that come down to cover them once they aren’t needed. The floor is gorgeous and I would assume sprung. It’s just a great space, in my opinion.
Choreo looks simple but there's a lot of complexities in there, in addition to how fluid/smooth the movements were.
React also to him for debut a young boy who did versatile dancing 11 years old so he was for debut also 🔥winning many dance competitions

This is filmed in one of the dance studios in HYBE's building which is also BTS and TXT's agency. There's one with black walls, this one, and another one with white walls seen in some of the TXT and Seventeen's choreography videos.

Jimin info that some still aren't aware of:
❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!!
JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. You should react to dance compilations of Jimin and Jimin focused fancams. But even in bts group performances, I can't just take my eyes off Jimin. He is just mesmerizing and captivating on stage by the way he dances. You should watch more of their live performances.

HYBE official building in Seoul Korea is built from the success of bts. These dance studios are in their own building.
When they were starting, they had to practice in basement studios . Now they have their own huge modern building built especially for them and the company they help succeed!

I recomend the performance in Jimmy Fallon's show, you maybe note the cultural diferences (dancers in this are from US), its a little more 🔥, the way boys touch girls for example. Korean boys softly touch their arms.
Jimin is not the choreographer, their main choreographer and performance director since more of 10 years is Song Sung Deuk. He os the brain behind iconics BTS hits like "Fake Love" and "DNA".
Jimin is an amazing dancer, he was studdy Contempory Dance and Hip Hop since kid. Also he practice 4 martial arts, with black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Kendo. He really love dance.
He has beautiful performance and solos, like " Lie" and "Serendipity"

@@22Kristina23 I don't say he made this particular performance. He still is the performance director, in the behind the scenes, JM work and practice with his team.
It's Son Sung Deuk and he mostly works with TXT and the other newer groups now. Also, the Jimmy Fallon camera work was terrible.

A pro dancer once said that Jimin is so versatile. Then said that a lot of dancers are called “versatile” but there is gimmicks with it. With Jimin, he really truly is versatile and can dance any genre and do it flawlessly.
Another dancer talked about how “Jimin attacks each piece the way that the song calls for.” Also that Jimin always adds his own little details to choreography, so even if he’s given the same choreography as everyone else, he adds little bits of Jimin into it.

13:13 that's hybe dance practice room. There's 2 ver, the one with bright & dark (like this one on the video) wall. You might notice the room on the other hybe artists dance practice like TXT, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, NEWJEANS etc. I think their artists can choose which room is suitable for their song 😅
You might want to watch a live performance instead, perhaps the Jimmy Fallon one. Just cause the music video doesn't include the choreography

The music video for this one didn’t have the choreography, you can see it live performance on Jimmy Fallon. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen others react to it without getting blocked.
Jimin isn’t their choreographer, Hobi (J-Hope) is their dancer leader that often helps the others after learning the choreography. Jimin has had the most ‘formal training’ since he went to an arts high school where he majored in contemporary dance. They have utilized that contemporary background for a few solos for award shows and of course Black Swan. He’s part of the ‘dance line’ which is generally thought of as Hobi, Jimin, and JK or 3J who did the Butter ft Meg choreo, but V was actually officially added to the dance line too after he did Singularity (I really recommend the m/v, I think you would love it).

A beautiful, elegant choreo. The live performances are fantastic. This kind of relatively simple in theory choreo is hard to do at the level needed to make it be spectacular. But Jimin and the dancers did it (I agree, not backup dancers, just like the dancers in the Set Me Free pt 2 MV, they are an integral part of the art, not part of the background, which I find so satisfying about both). To me, this choreo is hard to do well because it's so easy to see any mistakes that might be missed in a choreo like the Set Me Free pt 2. And I always found staying in the character throughout a dance like this more difficult because there is so much space to fill. But it's some fun dancing because it's so smooth and flowy and gorgeous!

J Hope is the team's Dance Leader, not choreographer. They work with diferents choreographers, and a lot performances was created by Son Sung Deuk, the Performance Director of BTS since pre debut time.
Dance leader and choreographer are very diferents things.
Jimin and JHope were both the main dancers in the very beginning of BigHits. JHope and Jimin do contribute to the choreography and the others do now. JHope is one of the best dancers in K-pop/HipHop. Jimin is one of the best over all dancers in the world. Jimin is extremely well trained in dance. He trained in K-pop/HipHop, contemporary, ballet, popping, Japanese dance as well martial arts with a black belt in Taekwondo only, Kendo, Geomdo, Hapkido, Brazilian ji-jitsu, Boxing, and some other martial arts and dance. It is said, no one can dance like Jimin. Although he does the same choreograph as others, he throws in extra movements that can be very fast or slow, or whatever the music calls for. Jimin is the first and only idol in history who has the highest national dancing award from government. So no, Jimin is the best. J-Hope is the dance leader just because he prefers also to teach others the choreography but Jimin also does the same. Even the members said that Jimin teaches them very well and it is simple to learn when Jimin instructs them the choreography.
