    My only suggestions would be some more patterns for the MAGPADs, I'd like to see stone and wood patterns for some natural aestethics. A heavy-duty monitor arm for ultra wide screen would be nice. The cable channels on the left and right side of the desk need a bigger opening going into the cable tray on the back. But the price and value of this desk is spot on.

    • @anonay7238
      @anonay7238 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Agreed. Needs wood effect magpads to brighten it a bit not everyone wants a black/dark table top. Also monitor arms should be able to lift the heavier ultra wide monitors (30lbs+)

    Bought this desk about a month ago. This is possibly the best desk on the planet right now. Cable management is absolutely amazing.
    Only gripe I have is with support of 3rd party monitor arms - which I had from before and had to do some major compromises to get it mounted to the desk.

    • @FraizyMD

      Hey! Late to the party but hopefully you see this! I know you already answered this question but just needed some additional clarification. I know that secretlab makes their own monitor arms but I have a 43" ultrawide monitor (they don't make arms for that), so I have my own. Are you saying that it won't fit onto the desk? Or if it does, will it completely block that back cable tray? I'm seriously considering this desk, any information would be helpful :)

      Dimension wise it fits but the weight limit of 15Kg will probably be the KO. The Lian Li Dynamic XL case itself weights around 10-11Kg and the pc mount can handle up to 15Kg. So a "light" (if that is even a thing) build may fit but be sure to check first.

Due to arrive tomorrow, so looking forward to seeing how long it takes to get setup. I'm definitely buying one of these in the coming half year. Compared to other motorized high-quality desks it ain't THAT much more expensive and compared to the cheap motorized stuff, this will probably outlast most by a long shot if as durable as claimed. Plus being steel opens the way for a lot of little DIY add-ons, like say 3D-Printed magnetic brackets to hold a Ethernet Switch on the underside or the legs.
    Do have some specific questions on some dimensions i may inquire about via the website. Notably of the back cable tray.

    What if your wall power comes from the right side of the desk? The legs should have been interchangeable, so that the power cord could be connected on the right side if necessary. As it is, I would have awesome cable management except for the power cord running across the floor for the entire length of the desk. And I doubt it's long enough to (nor should I have to) run it up the right leg, through the cable tray, and back down the left leg to plug it in to the wall for a clean look.

Has been using a Corsair 200R which likely would be no issue, but before ordering this desk I'd recently upgraded to a 780T for better airflow (no mid-towers availabe had everything I needed/wanted). The 780T is rather heavy, just on it's own, so with the PSU added, it definitely exceeds the weight limit for the current mount. It's also not a clean box shape, so even if the mount coulld support the weight, I'm not sure whether it would handle cases with curved or angled edges :S

    The monitor arms look really slick, but will a standard clamp-on monitor mount work? I already have one, so I'd hate to have to buy another just to use with this desk.

      We'd strongly recommend using the MAGNUS Monitor Arms as they have been designed to work with the Secretlab MAGNUS Pro optimally, but you can check out specifications sheet for the MAGNUS Pro to see if your existing mount is compatible: secretlab.co/pages/resources

    Will other monitor arms work on this desk while also allowing the cable management cover to fully close? My monitor is too big and heavy for the monitor arms that you sell.

    • @Secretlabchairs
      @Secretlabchairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Our MAGNUS Pro is designed to work with a vast majority of monitor arms with a screw clamp length of under 100mm. As long as your existing monitor arm falls within the shared specifications, it should be able to fit the MAGNUS Pro. For a more detailed specification of our desks, head over to secretlab.co/resources!

    I like the idea of the hanging PC mount but my Phanteks Enthoo Primo Full Tower weighs a ton. Wonder if it would support it. And does the single arm monitor mount support 38" ultra wides?

    • @Secretlabchairs
      @Secretlabchairs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We are unsure of the specifications for your PC, but our Premium PC Mount can support up to 25kg/55.1lbs. You can also find the full specifications for supported dimensions under the Resource section her: secretlab.co/products/premium-pc-mount.
      As to our MAGNUS Monitor arm, we're working on a Heavy-Duty Monitor Arm that support wider and heavier displays, and we'll share more details when those are made available.

    Damn, this looks amazing! Do you need a mat though? The leather top surface is a little odd to me. If you dont add a mat, is the surface just hard metal?

    • @chielvoswijk9482
      @chielvoswijk9482 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to their FAQ: You can use the Magnus desks without a mat, in which case you would have the powder-coated steel surface and two ridges at the side.
      They do advise to use the PU leatherette pad as it protects the surface, is more comfortable and is replaceable.

    • @Secretlabchairs
      @Secretlabchairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate the support! We strongly using the Secretlab MAGPAD with the MAGNUS to protect your desk's surface. It's also specially designed to deliver a comfortable feel under the skin.

    • @WinterReflections
      @WinterReflections ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They intentionally made it so the desk is uncomfortable and less practical if you don't buy their mat as well. It's weird to me how they act like the mat is a "bonus'" and optional so they can sell it separately.

    • @WinterReflections
      @WinterReflections ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SecretlabchairsThe mat should be included. The desk is objectively worse if it's just bare metal with ridges on each side. Why does it cost extra? Why only PU leather?

    • @Secretlabchairs
      @Secretlabchairs  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Secretlab MAGNUS Monitor Arm can support a maximum weight of 8kg and maximum screen size of 34". As long as your monitor falls within the shared specifications, it should be able to fit well. secretlab.co/products/magnus-monitor-arm

  • @joehenry087

    This looks awesome and I would love this but the Thermaltake Core P6 will not fit in the PC holder without modification and would still raise the minimum desk height by a few inches because the holder doesn't mount flush to the bottom of the desktop, and that is a dealbreaker for me.

  • @fancypotato2188

    Can this support triple monitor set ups? Are you guys considering making triple monitor arm mounts?

    • @chielvoswijk9482
      @chielvoswijk9482 ปีที่แล้ว

      The arm mount does not have any specific mounting points. So you could just add a seperate single-arm and mount your third on that.
      Space may be a bit of a premium with the non-XL though.
