It's not. Unfortunately, it got nerfed too much and lacks the firepower to be impactful. No reason to play it over Daring.

He MASSIVELY overvalued it.
Always been a fan of the Boise since T7 is my favorite tier. Try the DeGrasse for something different at T6. Good conceal, torps, gun range, and speed, but no heal obviously. Nobody plays her and she's pretty fun. Got my last solo warrior in her.
I mean, DeGrasse doesn't see much play because La Galissonniere is just kind of better. Sure DG gets a slight reload buff and a slight speed boost, but loses out on the reload booster, and what she gets to make up for that isn't enough. If DG had a 6 second reload then I could see people playing her, as it stands there just isn't much reason to actually play DG.

Nueve de Julio was my first premium ship (got her and Krasny Krym out of Santa containers 4 years ago). She also the ship I have the most games in. The ship is a lot of fun, especially with a 20 point captain and really knowing her capabilities. Thank you for playing her and sharing the video.

I got both Boise and Nueve de Julio in supercontainers. But I prefer Helena, which is faster, better range, better DPM, better consumables (apart from the superheal of course).
Don't forget the best part, her Remembrance Day Camo is absolutely gorgeous. But yeah, I stil prefer Helena over her sister ships.
I think Lepanto would really get that Italian vocabulary flowing :)
if not using IFHE then really should have used AP against Broadside BB's, HP's compared to DPM are lower at these tier and taking off 10% of HP per salvo can be really satisfying

Three, but really two. Boise and Nueve de Julio are the same ship, literally. In game they are 100% the same and in reality Boise became Nueve de Julio after being sold post war.

Maybe Pensacola next? Very fun ship at t6; surprisingly tanky while angled and hits like a truck
for a heavy cruiser at that tier, shell grouping is tight, I miss playing it
i found pensa to be nohing but agony while playing it, never felt like i did anything but catch full pens in her and the abysmal turret traverse and longer reload than much at the tier just made her unfun overall.
Atlanta's raw HE DPM is so much higher than Boise's. While Boise gets a heal, its not great, but Atlanta gets the radar which is more impactful for teamplay. With that being said, Boise is probably better for randoms but Atlanta is better for ranked. Neither are bad ships by tier 7 standards.
keep the T7 Trane rolling! do the Algerie and compare the two, she has grate AP and HE (which can pen 34 mm without IFHE), French speed boost, reload booster, her guns are good, and she has a 31knot top speed without the speed flag.
I am playing this exclusively in Brawls. I do take Demolition Expert AND IFHE and still get fires.

Also nice display of the current state of WoWs, Wg does not care about players gameplay experience sadly, only about getting more people playing it to provide "real" content for other players.. just a Bad experience overall(Bugs , glitches and the human "bots" ;), especially when most things you can pay for are better or more rewarding providing you achieve or try to actually try to win, Premium time , dockyard and battle pass come to mind.. All the resources from WG seem used to provide grind content instead of providing actual fun gameplay experience by and attempt at education or providing a better gameplay experience in game..

Hands down the best tier VII cruiser, and she could easily be a tier VIII imo
I enjoy Boise and 9, but Helena literally loses only on (potential) HP, everything else is just better on that ship
Good ship, yes, but could easily be a tier 8? No way when ships like Cleveland exist...
with this ship and tier , just like cleveland 152mm , I always take IFHE... the alpha dmg makes up for those few fires

i think a lot of times when people complain about where you are at, it is due to them being mad about you not being the one taking fire so they can farm for free.

Id like to see either Flint/Atlanta or the Indianapolis. Indi is an amazing cruiser killer with AP loaded, the guns are unbelievably accurate.

You haven't done a video to this ship yet, but I think it would be a lot of fun, considering it's an Ohio Dreadnought version with defensive fire at tier 7.
The aiming system really is buggy. In my BB's, I've had salvos end up going a kilometer long or short of a locked target. Not just one or two shells from dispersion, the entire salvo. It's insanely frustrating to feel like it doesn't matter where you aim...
Should 152-155 mm be able to pen 30mm after the rework? Like Wooster and such have 30 mm pen on 152 mm.. why Boise has 25mm? Like the old 1/6th pen
T8+ CLs got their 15Xmm main guns buffed to 30mm base pen(or 31mm for 155mm guns), T7- CLs did not. Making T7 the worst possible tier to be a 152mm CL, because your guns will never pen 32mm. 155mm/180mm CLs can still break into 32mm, but 152mm guns will only get 31mm.
Meaning effectively outside of any German CLs, Omono is the only really good T7 CL. As sad as that is.
i would have swapped to ap on the Arizona after the 3rd fire the ap at close range is savage if its anything like Hellena i murked a Colorado in in about 3 to 4 salvos at that range just get so many full pens

Hey PQ Need some suggestions. I have enough steel coal and research pts. to pick a ship form each. I play BB's and CG's. Have the Ohio already. Not sure what to get , can you give me suggestions or links to videos for any of those ships? Numbers say nothing about the ship.... players do.

Heavy HE for Boise is a must. You play around islands a lot with it so the bigger conceal isnt a huge concern, at least to me. And the extra DPM just rocks. I've devstruck DDs and gotten 7-8k into cruisers with all 15 shells hitting before. Boise is definitely my favorite T7. Try her in the brawls too.

Always funny to see ppl like that Heinrich in chat, acting like they know anything about the game and trashtalking others for no reason at all. This games just gets more toxic every year.
I think incoming and priority target are a waste of points. If you're spotted, assume you're being shot at and act accordingly. There are far more useful skills for those 3 points.
That entirely depends on if the ship you are playing gets any real benefit from any other 2 point skill in the case of PT. IFA yeah that's fairly garbage, but that mostly comes down to there being far better 1 point skills. Most 2 pointers are just kind of 'meh'.
Demo Expert being 1% means you will likely never notice the difference, Fill the Tubes only matters if you have torpedoes that have enough range to actually be usable, Consumables Enhancements only really matters if you have a radar. Eye in the Sky requires a spotter, something most Cruisers don't have or have to give up way to much to have, and Focus Fire Training is only useful on the Dutch cruisers.
There really aren't any good 2 point skills, unless you fit into the niche that one of the skills fulfills.
Plus PT can be useful, it's not so much for knowing when someone is aiming at you, more for knowing when someone suddenly isn't. Seeing as it only shows you when they are aiming their main guns at you, it can give you an idea of when an unspotted DD is aiming torps at you.

I request Tiger 59 - it's a really unusual ship with a distinct playstyle, far stronger than its reputation, and was recently available free if you already had Bayard using the t8 token (which is how I got it).
Teammate leaving their flank at the beginning, DD hiding behind island and not spotting, trash talking to a light cruiser using island. That's Wows in 2023, god I hate this game sometimes.

i think the reason the DD was so passive in the first game was because he was so scared of the CV. maybe he has been violated a few times by them in the past....
Nobody actually has a clue what CV/DD/BB stand for do they, all just repetitive sheep, monkey hear monkey do.
With no torps you remove a protentional avenue of fun. In this fake/rigged not a game would you even play them??? Boring!!!! LOL
