I love how he's so chatty lol!!! God love him! Thank you for doing this for these special beautiful creatures!
What a gentle fellow Vernon is! He looks great after being clipped.
Same thing happened to my old Morgan. I still miss him!
Thank you for your good care of these beautiful creatures.
Greetings....from the Western North Carolina Mountains ! Just discovered your channel....what you're doing is EXCELLENT....and I commend you for your work. It takes certain people to be able to do this work...and I believe you're one of them...! While watching you explain the clipping job you were doing....I heard you say something about not clipping the horses whiskers that day....I'm so glad you didn't !! Horses need those whiskers ! They use them to feel the ground, the grasses, everything around them...before their mouth actually touches, definitely a part of the horse that needs to stay with them...! And possibly something that you can tell your readers about with your next grooming video ?! Much good luck to you and your venture..... Sincerely, Cindy 🐴
Hello and thank you!
Aww he’s so handsome ❤
He's so sweet and handsome a perfect gentleman ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Put your blade on a ice bag in a cooler ,switch them out when it gets hot ,useing 2 clippers also helps.😊
Great idea! I do switch back between big and little clippers but I'll try the ice next time!
Vernon is amazing for his age..at first I thought why are you shaving him but then when you started I saw how long the hair actually was..gosh thats going to make such a difference in the heat for him.. are there wider ones that would do the job quicker?. He seems so chilled out..a real golden oldie..🇬🇧💞🙏✝️👍👏🐎🇺🇸
There are better clippers but more $$! He is the bestest boy ❤️
THE HORSE IS SO BEAUTIFUL IT REALLY HURT ME WHEN I HEARD HE HAD BRAIN TUMOR😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣😣🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
So Glad You Saved Him & Thank You For Taking Such Good Care Of Him .
He's my golden oldie!
Hey, new subscriber here. You had me at "rescue horses." Quick question- when you 1st shave a horse, does he seem more sensitive to flies for a little while? I have 4 horses-2 of which are rescues. One is a percheron & one is a warmblood, I think. He came with no info & ribs & hips protruding from lack of nutrition. I should clarify that I wasn't the one who rescued them, but I bought them from the kind people who rescued them. My perch was a Premarin foal at time of rescue. Her mom was USED for the urine collection of the hormone for HRT. So sad.
Welcome! This horse doesn't seem more sensitive after shaving, usually the flies hang out in his long fur so this helps keep them away. Yay for rescuing pmu foals!
@rhfarmstables That's the term-PMU! I forgot the term used. As a new subscriber with 4 horses of my own, I have limited social media time so I haven't watched a lot of your videos YET so if my questions relate to something you have already answered, please firgive me. With that disclaimer, have you rescued any pmu horses? Do your subscribers know about pmu "farming" & the abuse that goes on in that industry? My nonequestrian friends didn't know until I explained it. After doing so, one of my friends who is on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) pharmaceuticals, went back to her gynecologist to inquire if it was a plant based or animal based hormone. I believe pharmacists can answer that as well. Hope that helps your viewers think before they begin any hormone treatments. I believe the industry has ramped back up after having a "lull" when Premarin farming was exposed & reported about in late 90's & early 2000's. Those who are desiring to transition from male to female have created a new demand for estrogen hormones & that leads to more draft mares being used & abused until they are decrepit, then they are mercilessly shipped to slaughter. Shameful & sad.
What a cutie!
He sure is!
We rescued a cushion pony ….. she’s been neglected for years and hooves growing back into her leg! She’s in her 30’s now but still has problems with her legs! Looking for clippers to save time for her standing on concrete too long.
Girl with dogs says cut them wet to keep clippers cooler.
I'm looking for a flipper. Can you recommend 2 or 3 I should consider. Mine isc28 with customers. Thank you
