Thank you for saving this fella, I came across your channel by way of animal rescue feeds. Your narratives are so engaging, even for the farthest iota of a horse person. I am a lifelong NYC resident--I have gone on a trail ride in Montauk once as a teenager, and have 3 cats, but I love your passion, knowledge and tireless stewardship of these splendid creatures, even the worst horse is gorgeous and incredible to me. To imagine any of them going to a slaughter house is terrifically heartbreaking.

He may have been a nice breeding stallion. He’s smart, decently behaved, and seems to be Arabian. Could be wrong about breed, but that’s my guess. Arabians are quick and fairly adaptable horses.

    • @plousia

@@kroakie4 All horses lift their tail somewhat when they run, especially if they're in high spirits. You're right he does have a higher tail carriage, but his head and body type are nothing like an Arabian. He could be part Arab.

I could watch your videos non stop, they make me so happy. I'm a former jumper turned dressage turned too sick to ride with the goal of doing what you're doing when I sell my home and move out to the country with a friend who's also a horse lover. It's always been my dream to rescue horses. In the meantime I rescue cats and dogs. We rescued a gorgeous horse, literally off of a meat truck when I was young and that always stayed with me, he was such an amazing horse and to think, 5 more minutes and his fate would have been sealed. I truly love and admire all you do.l You have a heart of gold. Stud Man is gorgeous, I love that thick stud neck he has and you gave him his life back. They all seem so grateful, I think they know...which is heart breaking for those who don't make it but for those who do, you have their eternal gratitude and love!! I can't wait to see how he comes along with some training.
I wish you all the best with every one of your gorgeous babies and look forward to seeing more videos.
Much love and hugs from Montreal. xxx

I like this little horse! He looks really athletic to me, too. Every time a troubled horse comes my way, I also go back to square one. Round pen, lunging, ground driving before riding. Used to have great success bringing horses off the track this way (back in the old days when all upper-level H/J were OTTBs). Good luck with all your rescues. You don't know me, but believe it when I say that my own 65 years of looking at life through horses'' ears tells me I'm right when I say you really know what you're doing. I really like what you are doing and how you approach these guys. You are giving them value that will protect them in the future. My own horse was sold to slaughter. He is alive and happy today thanks to someone like you! Thank you for what you do.

Thank you! ❤️ I have been doing this a long time and the best way by far to keep them out of harms way is to give them a proper education!

My first horse, a young mustang I adopted, trained and rode, went to slaughter when I thought I was doing the right thing for him to sell him to a woman whose little girl adored him. Took me many years to get over. Love to watch this channel.

You are a gift to horses who have been abused and discarded!! I have nothing but respect and love for everything you have done and continue to do for these beautiful creatures. What a gift you are to all of girls who love horses and don't have the means, time, resources or education to get or help them. Your videos give me hope and are educational for all who watch.
Thank you and God bless you. ❤❤❤

Studman has my vote because ------just because. I really appreciate how much you educate yourself about anything that relates to your horses and their care. You make yourself ready for all the situations and problems you might come across with the purchase of "mystery horses" as you find them. Too many people are lazy about knowledge. To do the best care for our horses we must stay up to date on the latest available info from vet schools world wide as well as new farrier info. No horse can live well without the best feet they can have. You do such a great job reclaiming horses because you do all the study necessary. I wish I could buy one of your "recovered" horses but no such luck for me. But I can enjoy your videos and wish the best for you and all your horses. And not just thru the Holidays, but all year.

Studman reminds me of a Two Eyed Jack and a Hard Twist Quarter Horse I had. I'll follow you. It's bitter sweet to watch you work with horses.
I used to ride a lot. I'd buy troubled horses and check fences and cows calving. Troubled horses just need a job and patience.
I haven't rode a horse for 20 years. And I grew up on horses. I got in a bad car accident and have a bad back. 3 rod's, fusion, and a spinal cord stimulator. My doctor says I can ride. I just don't have a place anymore to keep a horse.
    God Bless

Studman! He seems more ready than Skeletor for some reason. ❤ I enjoy your videos and love how you treat your horses. Watching them play and knowing that's important to you warms my heart.

So this is Studman's story. Poor boy really needed your help. After your special care....he just thinks he's the cat's meow....oops, sorry Tiny 🙀
Love your attention to their specific needs and the knowledge you apply to help them succeed.

Had to go back and watch Studman's history again after the recent colicky episode. He is very cute and trainable. It will be fun to see his riding training to come. Its hard to remember all their information
    So he's 5 and about 14 hands.....Good to know.
    😊
