    Good to know. Phase 2 they use to give you an upgraded intake and smaller pulley. Surprised its a tune and cooling mod now.

      I get the other kits stage 2 difference being TB and intake but this small heat exchanger and tune should have came with the kit. 700 is a bit steep for what’s in the box.

    Wow there’s a lot of hate in the comments I think 750 hp is a good middle ground and you retain your warranty and the work can be done at a ford dealer.The same is not true when going with any of its competitors they’ll give you a supercharger warranty but if you engine blows or you have mechanical issues your on your own to fix it. Ford and roush work together so roush cant just make all the parts like a performance shop or even to compete with its competitors, they have to adhere to restricts made by ford so there aren't issues with the cars. I just don’t understand it shouldn’t we be happy that the mustang has this many options and power adders regardless of who you prefer. Also most of the twin turbo kits blow all the superchargers out of the water .

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The amount of power it makes while keeping a warranty is impressive for sure. Everybody wants 800+ these days since its easy but there are a lot more support mods that will be needed.

    Seems more like a correction than upgrade. I was told by Roush that it still needs to be installed by certified shop to maintain the warranty even though it looks very straight forward. We’ll see what my dealer says it will cost in shop time. Roush says only an hour.

    The big question is how many runs can you make before heat soak? Many videos out there but no one seems to want to share this information? What Supercharger stays the coolest? With the Max cooling package, would that keep it cool for a road course racing conditions?

  • @edthomas8486
    @edthomas8486 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video Bill. What I cannot understand is the stage 2 is rated 50 horsepower more at the crank. Achieving only 29 more horsepower at the rear wheels means we have lost 21 on the way. That makes the parasitic loss a touch over 40% on that extra 50 horsepower?? You have said yourself that industry standards have changed and drive trains typically now lose approximately 10-12%. What is going on here?

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ed Thomas different days, different dyno, possibly different engine temp. We showed what it made and there were gains all over the curve. Most importantly it made consistent pulls.

      @@crowdsurfpp2192 Where do you live? Is it a normally hot state? My car starts closing the TB at 160 degrees for the IAT2.. In the summer here where it's hot, I can cold start the car in the middle of the day and the IAT2's are at 140 degrees. On the flip side, I haven't lost a race in Mexico other than to another mustang with a TT.

      @@CreativePixElation I got the phase one before the phase 2 was out lol. Roush gives the bigger heat exchanger for both phases now, so it’s just the tune difference. I’m basically giving up on trying to mange the heat with the micro intercooler roush went with..... D1X gen 2 voodoo is probably the solution.

      Maybe, but it's not a Whipple kit (which has it's own trouble). Study up, do your research.. The EB has a shitty tune. If you are buying one, you need a custom tune.. If it helps, the only EB car I've seen lost buy two bus lengths at the track.
