She is a wealth of knowledge! Thank you for introducing us to her. You two briefly touched on how the photo filter trend is affecting expectations of our skin and aging, which can lead to procedures to measure up to unreal expectations…I am not against procedures but I hope we see a societal pivot toward a more realistic view and presentation of ourselves, for the sake of our emotional well-being. Also, I appreciated how this dermatologist did not speak of skin conditions in a negative way…she stated the issue and didn’t qualify it, if that makes sense…I didn’t hear her say “bad skin,” etc. This practical and non-negative framing helps us avoid sinking into depression for having skin concerns. Thank you for this interview/talk.
Thank you for sharing this series on youtube. Dr. Mahto is one of the best derms on social media. Love her practical, commonsense advice. And I appreciate the conversation about online or remote derm services. I was totally influenced to get a Curology script for tretinonin. I am 59 with very large pores and lots of texture. At first everything was fine but then I realized I had constant redness around my nose and mouth and then little red spots. If there is one skin problem I've never had it's redness. I realized by listening to you, Caroline Hirons, and Jordan Samuel that the tret had degraded my skin barrier. I stopped the Curology script (but not before I got sent another bottle for $24!!) and stripped back to the bare minimum. Three weeks on my skin is actually much clearer, the redness is almost gone, and the sensitivity is definitely gone. My pores look better now than during the tret. I'm going to slowly reintroduce the No 7 retinol which I was using before the tret and I had no problems with. Lesson learned for me. Next time I'm going to visit a derm and get professional, experienced advice.
Such a smart knowledgable doctor and gorgeous too..thanks Nadine for bringing her on your channel
Oh she’s an adorable, knowledgeable and easy to like Doc. Have followed on IG.
Such an informative video. I very much enjoyed the information given by Dr. Mahto, very clear and concise. One addition, which has nothing to do with the subject; Dr. Mahto is gorgeous. Such beautiful eyes 🥰🤗 Thank you Nadine, for this wonderful series with Dr. Sandra Lee, and Dr. Mahto. You work so hard to provide us with all this information and please know that it is very much appreciated. 😊
Thank you both, excellent, informative and you have such good chemistry together.
Hi, I have noticed that when I use Vitamin C (any brand high or budget) I get bad pilling/balling of all other moisturisers and sunscreens. Any suggestions to stop this, please? I have normal to dry skin, 67 years old, pigmentation. This seem to have put me off using Vitamin C altogether. Help please.
Thank You - I love this video - So informative - Thank You very much
Was there a discussion on perioral dermatitis? If so what was the time?
What are the Dr's thoughts on Korean skincare....glass skin, PHAs, sunblocks spf50 gel formulations?
Back in lockdown? When was this filmed??? 🤷♀️
That confused me for a minute too! 😀 Then I noticed they wished each other a “slightly belated” happy new year… so i guess this was recorded maybe in January.
@@annamacm4063 yes definitely January because they keep talking about being in the 2nd lockdown in the UK ….I wonder why she held on to this film for so long? We could have done with being cheered up back then😊
In the US, Avène sells retinal.
