I actually had filler done to my lips for the first time about 2 months ago. I was worried it would look super obvious. I asked for a small amount especially in my top lip (I think it was 0.1 ml in top, 0.4 ml in the bottom lip) and now it looks super natural. I'm not sure if I'll want filler elsewhere but I'll maintain my lips.
Nadine I respect how hard you work here and I speak from absolute love and kindness. I think the sad part is that we tell women they are more beautiful with fillers and procedures and that we should fear aging. At 56 I have never allowed a needles or procedure near my face. We must change the dialogue on aging and changing our face for a ridiculous standard by the beauty industry. Especially for younger women. Aging is natural and normal and if we don’t take care of our skin and work the muscles of our face ( without freezing them ) we will lose our muscle tone. We have 42 muscles in our face and 43 with the neck, work them out. It think this was interesting and informative but as a man does he have fillers and procedures? Women you are beautiful and enough and as we age we are MORE fabulous!! 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
@@kristymarie6065 Hi Kirsty. I have been a holistic master esthetician for almost 4 decades I teach aging and beauty and healthy skin naturally. With that I teach my clients in my three salons to do facial yoga and massage and we use professional micro current in our salons and I suggest products like Nuface for at home. Trust me it works🙌🏻 Have a lovely rest of your day Kristy 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa
Yes he does and he told us in the other video. Gender pigeon holing is as dangerous a narrative as the one you speak of haha. I think it is fair enough to want to look like yourself. People want to look well, not necessarily young. I did a lot of oncology patient visiting work before blooming covid and sometimes with all the will in the word and working out muscles… People look and feel awful about how they look and I’ve seen fillers change lives . People age differently. It’s okay for a rosey-cheeked silver fox to accept her laughter lines but if someone looks hollowed and gaunt then societally this is suggestive of illness and fatigue. Choice is power
@@logiclanguagelearningFrench I hear you. As a holistic master esthetician of almost 40 years with three holistic skin care salons I see the other side. People come in so disfigured or realizing that the surgery or injection was not going to change the feeling of insecurity and self doubt they had inside. We see young women doing things to their faces that are heartbreaking and older women that wish they had not done a thing. We have men coming in begging us to get their lady to stop the madness and many many more so depressed with the pressure society and social media and the aging story has put on them to not wrinkle or go grey or have expression or to cover their faces in layer upon layer of make up. Our daughter is a psychiatrist NP in a major hospital here in the states and she says we are losing a generation of women to suicides and disfigurement and depression. Both of us speak truths and I hope some how we can come to a place of accepting age and the beauty that comes with it with dignity and class and self love. What a gift it is to age and have a story and still live to write more!!! Blessings French 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa
Did you watch the video? After my consultation in this video I was told I didn't need it, as I had not had any volume loss - so in fact the message is the opposite of your concerns. I think here that the message is that not all fillers looks obvious - that they can replace lost volume and restore confidence - not that women or men look better with them.
The problem with filler is that it absolutely migrates and doesn't dissipate as quickly as people think. It may look good at first but starts to look bad over time, hence the bad filler look. Here in L.A. ,the trend is dissolving filler and doing fat transfer.
Hi Nadine, can you do a video of the best devices/procedures you've done on yourself so far? I know you've shared in the past but I (and I'm sure others) would love an update. Your skin looks absolutely amazing!! You are glowing and show no signs of ageing 🙂
A really excellent Australian doctor, Dr. Gavin Chan, has a great video up about the issue of diminishing returns of filler when people fill for volume.
Lots of great information. The reason I am afraid of filler is my doctor told me that when mixing needles with my face he could not guarantee there would not be risks to my vision. I was hoping perhaps you would explore that. Thank you for all you do to bring us great information, Susan
Nadine, you did it again! You and the cute doctor answered all my questions about fillers. Never thought there were so many types! I will build up my strength and go see my doctor and get myself some years erased. Love you and hope you and all the beauties here have a fabulous year!
I can tell you why I'm frightened of fillers, I had a liquid facelift done by a board certified dermatologist plastic surgeon well respected and have had multiple facial swellings, probably about 20 or 25 times now, even after having the filler "dissolved" with four rounds of hyaluronidase, multiple rounds of steroids and antibiotics with no relief in site. I would never do it again, ever.
you need to accept yourself, you can find happiness while being an average looking girl, it is more commendable to learn self acceptance than resorting to changing yourself
Hi Nadine, is it normal for the Redensity 1 treatment to leave your under eye area puffy? My understanding it just hydrates the skin, not adding volume. 🙂
Hi can someone tell me what they mean by skin boosters ... Do they mean profilho ? Sorry my husband was chatting away in the background and couldn't can't what they said Thank you
Yes, so unlinked/runny hyaluronic acid that floods the skin rather than changing the shape of your face - Profhilo is one but here we talk about Redensity 1 with added vitamins and anti oxidants X
There are downsides to all procedures especially with people who aren’t really experts in what they do. The real problem, of course, is that as consumers we have almost no way of knowing who is good at what they do and who is just OK. In either case, the opportunity for accidents and negative results are always present. I think it’s that unknown that is most anxiety producing. BTW the echo in this interview is most annoying.
this is addressed in this video - only health care practitioners should inject filler - ue nurses, doctors, surgeons, dentists etc ... that way you are in safe hands - and we talk openly about the clinic locator/finder service that manufacturers provide for safety purposes.
