sure Rusty is awesome but let's be honest, when you don't bring the stun needle and hear g1 Michigan says "what, you didn't bring it, g13 your ability to ruin my field trips is UNCANNY" will never get old
Hmmm, based on my observation, Ayre (And Coral in general) is a sort of energy based lifeform that exists as both energy and matter (Like how light is both a particle and a wave), in it's matter state acting like a liquid, and when enough Coral gathers and resonates, it can reach sentience and gain a ego. Your Generation Four augmented self had Coral used in the procedure, the Coral allowing a direct link between your nerves and the Mechs systems, as well as enhancing your brains functions to process data faster. This Coral in your brain allowed you to "resonate" with Ayre, allowing direct contact between a human and a Coral Lifeform when the Coral Surge ocurred. Of course, a fair bit of this is just a hypothetical based on personal observation.
It is pretty neat that the energy resource you are looking for, and the corps are fighting for, is actually mankind's first encounter with truly alien life (In this universe anyway), question is, did Coral evolve as a native lifeform of Rubicon III, or is it originally from somewhere else?.
