One thing I forgot to mention is that repair kits don’t work in Arena and PVP so damage mitigation might be the better pick if you play a lot of those game modes
I think it's lame that they don't work in PvP. That one AC to AC fight in the story where she was allowed to use repair kits shows how intense it would have been. It'd just have been three heals per match. But they went and thought this was Elden Ring/Souls again. AC6 is a very different game from the older AC games. It just would have been interesting to see what the kit would have added to pvp.
Assault armor is awesome. it’s an instant stun lock on most large enemies and basically makes the balteus fight a joke. Don’t use it if you know it won’t stun lock the enemy right away though, that’s how you get stuck in an animation and attacked. I’d never use it for damage, just stagger meter.
It's also useful against Balteus because you can assault boost in during his lengthy missile firing animations. He is usually immobile during those animations, which means he has less time to skirt away from the Assault Armor burst AoE.
If there's one positive to manual aiming i found out is if you're fighting a very fast moving enemy, you can shoot the area with explosives before they get to the area you're hitting so they basically run right into a load of missles and do massive damage. Normal aim won't allow that
Manual aim reminds me of the Mechwarrior experience. Just faster. That being said, quick turn is important to support manual aim, as it helps your core respond to the location of the camera faster. Your weapons do not move as fast as your camera, at a certain point. Quick turn helps that. Especially for the manual aim experience on PC.
Turning your camera does not equate to turning your mech. If your mech is facing the wrong way when you attempt to fire, there ends up being a delay while you're mech turns to face the target. Quick boost works to mitigate this.
@@cyanide7270 for my first ac game I think I have been doing pretty good, took me maybe 5 to 7 attempts to beat Ibis finding a build that works for me which was a reverse joint melee laser lance build. I just have a hard time using the expansion slot system in the heat of the moment which is something I need to work on.
A mech warrior game or a Gungriffon game with this level of assets and polish is all I ever wanted. With some combine arms. AC6 is a great game but its way too fast.
Not necessarily but I always preferred stuff a good middle ground like Front mission or Gungriffon or the recent mech tactics game Phantom Brigade, I still love AC dont get me wrong but its becoming closer to super fast super anime mecha like say zone of the enders. @@Catbus-Driver
Do the weapon upgrades also have an effect on shoulder pieces? Like explosive upgrade will boost the damage of shoulder rockets, energy will boost the plasma rockets, etc.
It does affect your shoulder weapon but if its the high damaging one you can see the damage increase compare to like missles or anything that has multiple rounds
Bro whatchu talkin bout willis, quick turn is ultra useful during assault boost hard turning to the left or right or soft turning to chase down enemies. You can even circle enemies by quick turning left while turning right. turning around instantly while you’re being shot in the butthole. All of these maneuvers can get you out of tricky situations or allow for advanced movements during combat. Weapon Bay is extremely useful if you’re a melee build with two melee weapons and you can swap different guns in the fly for ammo/cooldown management with certain weapons as well as creating setups for combos during combat. You are kinda misleading players into thinking those tunings are a bit useless when in reality they are probably the most useful os tunings you can have.
manual aiming its basically the devs giving us the option to play on hard mod, most player who play on controller would not beat the game without aim lock assist, i"ve lokked for a badass to proove me wrong but no one think to even try...

@@KrystalmythI prefer it this way. Works well
i had heard we would unlock more arena stuff with NG+ but wasn't expecting we would be able to grab ALL OST chip upgrades
Seems it's not really intended to be a build, but just a slow way of unlocking skills that normally would have come by default.

manual aiming should have been a feature in the options, not a OS tuning that cost chips lol
Just started chapter 3 and have just started the arena and OS tuning. I appreciate this video, got me up to speed in no time

Quick boost works to mitigate this.
What makes the expansion slot button worse is that it is two buttons. Your assualt boost is one of them.
Skill issue.
Legit, i hate saying it, but it's true. If you can't press two buttons at once, that's purely a skill issue. It's not difficult.

@kimtiendat6278 I am on ps5.
You can change the settings so that it's on your L3 + R3. Much easier since your hands will be resting there anyways
Weight control lets you send out your AC with skinny legs that can't support the weight. Reminds me of the cheat from Armored Core on PS1.

Why aren’t they available in the assembly menu after purchasing them? It’s driving me crazy.
Most of them are passive buffs
