Snail is guaranteed to drop out at the last 1/3 of the healthbar. If there's a way to keep him alive i don't know it, he always just retreats at phase 3 of the fight. If you're quick you can definitely keep Chatty around to see the end, i've actually done it. Timing is tight on the last two blasts but it's certainly accomplishable if you hit your needles. Iguazu is 50-50, i've had him survive to the last phase and then disappear without a single word or even while the worm was underground (in the run i managed to keep Chatty around he just vanished at some point, like he ran off during the battle and nobody commented on it - left no wreck, no radio comms, etc) - it may be possible to keep him alive but head bringer is made of paper mache so you'd have to land every stun ASAP and pray that iguazu doesn't iguazu.

One of the best lines in the entire game. Unfortunately, there's no dialog for actually killing the worm without the stun needle. It's incredibly tedious, so don't bother.
I love the redguns really wanted you to be a part of them, how G1 always acknowledge you. I just wish we had a redguns route in where the redguns won over the vespers.
there was actually an original concept for that ending, i dunno know if there was hesitation or thorough explanation, but there was a conflict among the writers and game development branches that tried to fit in multiple endings, there's the redguns ending, the Vesper ending, the RLF ending, The overseer ending, and the AllMind ending. but i guess due to these conflicts these endings had to be converted someway. this was a similar issue they had in For Answer.

Such as Mrs Theresa appearing along side with neo nidus Vero nork being killed by you and old king. And buppazugan having more dialog with Wong Shao lung and his vendetta against him and the Wolcott family. Hari also appearing as an ally on defending the anti satellite cannons. Just tons of scrapped concepts to rush a game they wanted to release. I guess these features were just too big or too vast to fit in and feared they would cause some controversy contradiction among ac fans that they kept it small and more about gameplay.
Even then they'd find a way to end them somehow. But it'd have been nice if we had two true corporate paths. They made us spend more time with the RLF than they ever did Balam.

While i wish it were true, like everyone is saying its a joint operation with Michigan in command, thats why Carla has Chatty send us a message Fun fact she had another one too that is in tbe game files but cant be triggered she has chatty say a line similar to michigan for us on her behalf and Ayre gets annoyed saying thats easy for her to say, really she just doesnt care for Carla the way Iguazu doesnt care for us
Rusty definitely has the tile of best buddy in this game, but good god is chatty also amazing. My favourite line of his is ‘Enjoy the show… and don’t forget to smile’
Would say it is more of a discussion, Snail isn't feels like attacking Chatty but just posting a question, only that his attitude is same as always. His silence after Chatty kinda mean that he start thinking about that too. (The fact that he seize and use Ibis series in the end kinda mean that he do agree AI is not as bad as he though)

Hardest part about this mission is trying to keep everyone alive. For whatever reason, they made slow and stead keep everyone alive but speed running it cause everyone to get knocked out.
ive found that it helps if you focus down the drones that show up after phase 1 despite Chatty telling you not to worry about them. Those things contribute a lot to the NPCs going down in my experience, either bringing one down themselves or softening them up for the phase 3 explosions to finish them off
I love Chatty's dialogue in the game. His and Carla's are my favorite in the game. Such great lines and delivery. Rusty's is #1 though, but you knew that.
It's very strongly implied that the overcharged Rail Cannon shot is going to break it and that you won't get another chance. It's just that they give you such a huge window that failing it is very difficult to do unless you're barely trying.

My first run has low OS tuning and no big shoulder weapons (main lightweight). I feel my heart racing when Ayre and Michigan screaming at me to kill it faster while my miniguns are overheating and stupid missile doing no damage to it. Whoever put dps check in final phase of this atrocious long mission, I hate you.
I agree, but they never said that they failed it. I do wonder how it got to a point where the Miniguns were somehow overheating though, that requires way too much sustained fire.

In JP, the AI voice is more noticeable. In EN, it just appears like he's a soft spoken individual. I thought when Freud said AI ACs are like the same, he was just being condescending.
@@jactstone There's some notes in the side infor that reveal that AC combat basically stopped the unmanned combat machine age. Something in a human pilot always seems to out skill the AI, but not for lack of trying. Notably Allmind seems to know this too.
Jeez I’ve beaten this game probably eight times or so and I’ve never heard half of this. Skill issue I guess, I just always cut the worm phases short because I know where it’s going to pop up and when I have a window to hit it.
I replayed this mission half a dozen times for S rank after the initial 3 playthroughs for all endings. While these lines might practically be burned into my memory at this point it's still some of the best interactive dialogue in the game. Pretty much whenever Michigan is on comms really lmao
I actually did fail this mission my first try, because I didn’t know what I was getting into, and brought weapons that didn’t have good burst damage, and couldn’t kill it in time after the last attack because I wasted too much time closing the distance. Still my favorite fight in the game, and maybe favorite FromSoftware fight period
Fun fact: the reason why Iguazu references a lot a "ringing" on his head it's because he has the same generation of human augmentation as the player so he can hear the voices of the coral too
*Spoiler Interesting that it shows Iguazu had "ringing" from the ice worm, being how the ending has him trying to integrate. I think that sensitivity is what made him AM's protege.
yeah, its confirmed in the final boss that the ringing is coral voices in his head because of his gen 4 augs. Though he specifically blames Ayre when she shows up for phase 2.
yeah the rinning is because Iguazu is a 4th Gen like 621 and due ot that he has the potential ot make contact with the coral consciousness. however because of chance(or not being exposed to the conditions 621 was that got them ot meet Ayre) he doesnt quite get a good read on this and instead of a clear voice, he hears a number of muffled voices with occasionally some words that mark a conversation that isnt directed at him, this manifests as a "buzzing" or ringing that apparently causes him quite a lot of distress. the only time where we see Iguazu at his full potential is at the very end when he manages to push out all interferences(Ayre and AllMind) to finally get mental relief.
I think there's one you missed (or maybe its in the video but I missed it) where Snail is the first to go down and Iguazu remarks on it. Only ever heard it once though.

The Iceworm is a C-weapon powered by Coral the rining Iguazu is experiencing is because he is a gen 4 like 621: he is making contact with the coral consiconess, tho because of chance Iguazu's contact isnt firm, so all he picks up is the buzzing, that getsmore intense when near a large surge of coral or another entity that is making contact(like Ayre-621)
I failed it once while going for S rank. I shot it with the stun needle and took down the shields so I could strike the killing blow, but I couldn't move out of the way fast enough, so it just barreled through me and I died instantly.
Even if Carla was keeping it a secret, Snail has been doing experiments with AI ACs at this point. He was trying to figure out what makes human pilots so much better than AI so it would make sense for him to have looked into Chatty
It's not a Secret in universe Ai controlled Acs are apparently not that uncommon, and if anything it seems that unless said AI protocols are Very Good they underperform.

Also, when you die to the Ice Worm, Michigan disappointedly says something like, "G13! What are you doing!?" before his "Mission failed" line
I’ve decided that the hover tetrapod with long range shredder build is a great way to kill of the Worm.

I actually did fail this mission my first try, because I didn’t know what I was getting into, and brought weapons that didn’t have good burst damage, and couldn’t kill it in time after the last attack because I wasted too much time closing the distance. Still my favorite fight in the game, and maybe favorite FromSoftware fight period

Fun fact: the reason why Iguazu references a lot a "ringing" on his head it's because he has the same generation of human augmentation as the player so he can hear the voices of the coral too

*Spoiler Interesting that it shows Iguazu had "ringing" from the ice worm, being how the ending has him trying to integrate. I think that sensitivity is what made him AM's protege.
yeah, its confirmed in the final boss that the ringing is coral voices in his head because of his gen 4 augs. Though he specifically blames Ayre when she shows up for phase 2.
yeah the rinning is because Iguazu is a 4th Gen like 621 and due ot that he has the potential ot make contact with the coral consciousness.
however because of chance(or not being exposed to the conditions 621 was that got them ot meet Ayre) he doesnt quite get a good read on this and instead of a clear voice, he hears a number of muffled voices with occasionally some words that mark a conversation that isnt directed at him, this manifests as a "buzzing" or ringing that apparently causes him quite a lot of distress.
the only time where we see Iguazu at his full potential is at the very end when he manages to push out all interferences(Ayre and AllMind) to finally get mental relief.

the rining Iguazu is experiencing is because he is a gen 4 like 621: he is making contact with the coral consiconess, tho because of chance Iguazu's contact isnt firm, so all he picks up is the buzzing, that getsmore intense when near a large surge of coral or another entity that is making contact(like Ayre-621)

Damn I forgot you can fail that mission
I failed it once while going for S rank. I shot it with the stun needle and took down the shields so I could strike the killing blow, but I couldn't move out of the way fast enough, so it just barreled through me and I died instantly.

RaD isnt super secretive from what we can tell, since a front operation needs to be inconspicuous to be a good front.
Even if Carla was keeping it a secret, Snail has been doing experiments with AI ACs at this point. He was trying to figure out what makes human pilots so much better than AI so it would make sense for him to have looked into Chatty
