My Italian grandmother always had this at Christmas. She passed in 1997 and I was missing it. It’s wonderful to have a recipe. I just ordered some from New Jersey USA AND ITS DELICIOUS AND THE SAME AS GRANDMAS. OOPS sorry for the caps. They have 3 flavors. Orange, lime, and vanilla. Just very subtle. My favorite and reminds me of her so much. I have never known anyone who had this so very pleased you did this. Thank you so much.

My nonna always made this too every single Christmas too!! Among the 27,000 other things 😂Even now she’s in her 80s and still makes it and lord knows no one makes it as well as she does 💗💗

You are an extremely talented lady I must say. You do painting, you work with resin and now I see you cooking as well. All the three things you do are excellent. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I lived in Italy in the 90s and every Christmas, torrone was a seasonal delight. I have not found a traditional Italian torrone since coming back to Australia, nor have I ever been game enough to make it myself (didn’t need to in Italy, there is a pasticceria at every street corner so torrone was so accessible). So when I saw this video, Julie, I just dived straight in. WOW! You’ve inspired me. Thank you. Just beautiful. Thank you 🙏

You are so fun and entertaining. A woman after my own heart! I love how you like to scrape all the nougat off the mixer. I get annoyed when watching cooking videos and the cook doesn't scrape out the bowl, etc. I can't wait to try making this nougat, it looks so tasty! Thanks for sharing.

Yummy. I love real nougat, but I can not have these sorts of delights any more. I am on a Fodmap diet, my salivary glands are in over drive. I love watching you cook, Julie you are a GEM. Your creativity is endless and I want some of this. THANK YOU so much for doing this Julie, even though I can`t have it ( I can still dream ). YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be safe everyone. 🤗😋😋🦘🦘🦘🖖💜💜💜

Oh. My. Goodness. Julie! What a marvellous tutorial. I LOVED it. I’m in awe of your talents. I live here on the Sunny Coast too and I was yelling (nicely) that sharing a slice of your nougat 🍫🍭 and a cup of tea 🫖 with you would be sensational. Perhaps in the new year you might consider hosting more classes so we locals can join you for for some in-person tutorials. Wishing you and yours a very happy and safe Christmas 🎅 and NY. Thanks for sharing your journey throughout this year. Ive enjoyed every single video. 🎄

Those look absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try them. Thanks so much for showing how to get clarified butter.omg I've been trying to figure that out for years to use for my heated blue lump crab meat! I would melt the butter and I'm like why doesn't it taste like at the restaurant? 🤣🤣🤣 Can't wait for your recipe of caramel fudge. It sounds so much like a candy my mom made when we were kids called panucci. I don't have the recipe I can't find it online. Just panucci frosting not the same. So hopefully that will be it. Thanks so much for sharing all these beautiful recipes we really appreciate it and you ✌️🥰

Julie, I have been watching and admiring your incredible talent for years now and was amazed when I saw this video. I actually thought for a minute you were making resin candy! Lol. This looks sooooo yummy. I will definitely try it. Just a side note. I was watching a man marble a counter top with dipping a feather into the paint and twirling while dragging it through the resin. Incredible, realistic effects. Love the cooking. Merry Christmas!

I'm Italian and I live not too far from Cremona, the town of torrone and Stradivari violins. At Xmas there's a competition of torrone sculptures. That's crazy, amazing and a lot of fun. If you're lucky you can catch pieces of torrone splitting off the sculpture, while creating them.
I suggest you trying marzapane from Sicily, too. Pandoro and Panettone. Then join a gym, to lose weight! 😂😂😂😂

I'm not a nougat fan, but I'm a Julie fan.❤️ I do have an interest in your shortbread recipe sometime. And I'm wondering if you'd explore making your own pigment pastes for resin, using the resin part of your bottles, and perhaps mica powder or other solid or powdered pigments. It's not a technique shown much, and would be great to see what you come up with. Just a thought. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
