If you dismiss the addiction issue it creates I would say it hits the nail in the coffin. Rallye simulator driving 180mph on eyesight and intuition while at the same time focusing on the copilot notes and also processing them is exactly what locks me in!
Doctor, I'm gonna forget to ask in your next Q&nA, so here is my question: if you had total control over the school system, would you change anything, and if so, what?
I think that implementing a no phones policy makes sense. Teachers can't compete, and even peer-peer real time social skills deteriorate when kids are plugged into their devices, or even anticipating being plugged in.
I remember when I was a boy I couldn't get enough of videogames they just held my attention like nothing else. As an adult I still love my videogames and contrary to popular belief. Videogames are not just mindless button mashing they require skill and intelligence more so then books. I am dyslexic as well as ADHD so walls of text just make my brain burst in to flames. So besides TV I found my entertainment in video games and board games. Videogames the good ones require a lot of thinking clever problem solving mastering of timing and memorization.
Thanks for sharing. I would just quibble with whether they require "more" skill than books, or different skills. There are certainly executive functions employed in many videogames that don't get activated by reading.
@@DrJohnKruse both are certainly important, I feel like boardgaming combines some aspects of both. Coincidentally it was videogames that got me into reading again, I started playing some games of the "warhammer 40k" series and because of that I started reading the many novels too. I regularly take on 1000-page books now :D
man, love the content and thank you, just, if possible, could you pls make the thumbnail design a bit less abrassive, a bit more soft and gentle, it would be nice. xx
Hey! This is the video editor, thanks for the feedback! Could you be more specific about the design being abrasive? Do you mean the color being too flashy, or the text too large? I'll gladly take any feedback into consideration.
@@FlynnaTH-cam hello! Sorry for my unsolicited 2 cents, I do branding and graphic design *and* have audhd, so it was hard to resist ;) The current font size is probably good for reading it fast and easily; the font though could perhaps be of a brutalist vibe and so, attractive in a high end way, less generic? The screaming colors were the trigger though; perhaps a palet of greige neutrals? People online nowadays misuse the term "aesthetic", imbuing it with a certain clean and quiet style, but it's worth looking into. Thank you for the consistently wonderful content, it's rich.
@yatabazah Thanks for the constructive criticism! No need to apologize at all, it's very much appreciated. There are of course other considerations to take into account, so I can't guarantee that we'll implement some of these ideas, but I will definitely keep of all this in mind! We appreciate having you in the community and welcome these kinds of comments at any time!
@@yatabazah You gotta admit that the pink does stand out amongst other results, but even though the complementary color is awful, it still looks better than black for the text. Also, in HCI, we were taught that comprehension is improved with mixed case rather than all caps, and that was why road signs are mixed case.

I like daydreaming about games more than playing them
Dopamin release during playing games comes to mind

He would probably incorporate Siesta Time into the school system
