I have an 81 XJ6. It was my father's from new. They can last that long but it is a luxury vehicle. You must have the finances to keep her running. She's a great car and smoth at higher speeds, up around 80 85 mph. She's meant to be driven at those speeds but not all the time after 35+ years.
Interesting. I saw a video that someone made of this exact car a few years ago when it had like 230K on it or something. At least, I think it's the same one.
Jaguar under British ownership and credit where it is due Ford, consistently made some of the most beautiful cars in the world but didn't get the recognition they deserved. Actually the F type under Indian ownership is a stunning car.
Amazing , I bet no one thought, it could go so many miles . Beautiful car , but tell me one thing , was it expensive to keep up , while acquiring these miles ?? Thank you
God fucking damn it. I would have bought this in a heartbeat

A well maintained XK engine can last a long long time.

I would like to see a bit more oil pressure on the guage
I was thinking that as I watched the vid. Looked like 20, when it should be 40.
The xj40 seats I don't believe will fit I have a 82 and the seats hook to the car a little bit different
👍☺
....boxes and boxes of service receipts.... I knew enough.
got one sitting in my garage rn
Is this car still available?
Original seats are fine. Don't put XJ40s in.
