  • In this video I install some sound deadening material, carpet and ultimately the newly upholstered bench seat. Can't believe the difference in how it makes the truck look. Wow!!

Coming along nicely😎, words of wisdom, don’t over do it, it’s a work truck.

Looks awesome, interior is shaping up nicely. I used the the dynamat sound deadening material on my 81 Z28 and also on the doors, made a big difference !

The truck is not on the road yet but very soon and I'll be able to tell. Thanks for checking out the video and hope to have this thing on the road soon! Merry Christmas! JD

I have the same truck, 84 K10 longbed 350 700r4 6” lift on 35s and I’ve been following your videos and really like the content. Truck looks good brother!
I’m disabled with a neurological condition so I can’t do everything myself, right now truck is in shop getting a new CompCams kit, going with the “Thumper” cam.
I’ve already finished all the body work except for changing doors and rockers

Sounds like an awesome truck and certainly commend you for continuing to work on it through adversity. Eventually I will swap out the motor that's in there for some more power and my own "thumper" cam as well! Thanks for the comment and let me know how it turns out. JD

JD, curious, why did you decide to go with the EVA material instead of the adhesive Dynamat type covering? The dynamat seems to do a good job with both head shield and sound deadening in one application. the adhesive / roller application also takes some of the work out of cut - n - tape. Was there a line of thinking you took that I missed on a previous video? thanks again for the great work, always enjoy the videos and all new carpet MUST be dog sanctioned prior to install from my experience.

Hey Tim. I talk about this briefly in the video but my overall logic was I didn't want to stick anything to the floor of the truck. That may be flawed logic because the dynamat type stuff probably would have been easier to install but this is the route I chose. JD

Hey Ed!! Just like my Jeep I'll probably never sell this truck. I love it. JD

Damn I was about to purchase this caret but it irks me that they cut it too short on the sides!

It's a little tight on the sides for sure but it works. Looks good when completed. JD
