- When it comes to bass fishing, most anglers are fairly locked in on lures and how they are the centerpiece for catching bass. But what if all the focus on baits and lures is actually hurting your chances of catching fish? Sounds crazy, right? But believe it or not, that's actually the case. There are so many other factors that we need to focus on before we ever even think about what lures to throw and focusing on those aspects are a great way to greatly increase your bites and hookups! #fishing #bassfishing #fishingtips

Are you a super-serious bass angler or are you just looking to get out and have a little fun and relax?
these locales are too beautiful and increasing in rarity to be bogged down by super seriousness
I'm the kinda guy that once I catch 1 I change baits just to see what all they'll hit
I bank fish a pond I can walk around,so I fish conditions, and match lures to the conditions. If they are pushing bait to the surface, or feedin☝️ I always tie on a top water.it could be any of 3 types, small minnow,or popper, small walking bait,3 styles mini spook,77.7 showerblows,Rapala skitterwalk, tiny torpedo, and a tiny crawler bait.the forage is tiny minnows at this pond, maybe 2 inches, and the fish either feed up,or school up and follow the minnow schools and force them to the edges and shallows to consume them. I use jerkbaits, cranks, traps, worms, jigs, spinnerbaits for mid to bottom, and football head to drag for hard spots or grass.the key to getting bites it to change up every 15 casts, try a new tactic for the changing conditions, and use the lures where they match forages, use your blue gill crank where blugill bed ,or craw crank clay banks, foot ball head your rock piles, bang your cranks off cover ,deflection, and ripping both work to create a reaction strike. 3 retrieves slow, steady, fast add pauses,or cadence. Mix it up, don't blank out! Versatility is key to get bites after you locate them .Go Lowbrow 💥🎣✌️
It is so very fun and satisfying to have a plan and it pays off. Helps to make up for those days I swing and miss big time. 😂
I think the term "swing and a miss" is very appropriate. It's odd that some days we feel fortunate just to not get skunked while the very next day is a fishing bonanza!
You're a good friend Steve!
I never really considered myself really serious about bass fishing until I started watching a bunch of videos about it
It's easy to get dragged down the rabbit hole!
Thank you for your down to earth and real life fishing info.I do both, I look at were i am fishing and apply what i have learned. But i enjoy being out to have fun and relax.
Thanks so much for watching! Having fun is the most important part!
Thanks Lowbrow for this video. Very good information and I appreciate the reminder. Catch you soon.
I'm happy you liked it!
Thank you lowbrow, I’ve been having consistent success but, I’ve felt overwhelmed on all the tackle that there is to use. This video gave me a better approach on how to use my tackle 🔥🔥
That's awesome! I'm glad you find these videos useful!
I always plan out my trips to the water. It helps me find bass that other guys aren't targeting so I get areas all to myself. At least until so.done sees me catch fish.
It's always nice to be able to have good water all to yourself!
This may be anecdotal but I have found when fish are actively chasing bluegill (the predominant bait fish where I live) they ignore pretty much everything but if I return to those areas later they bite like crazy.
That's very interesting!
I go fishing to relax. I take a day a week and hit some of the lakes around central Florida and bank fish.
That's a great way to do it!
I just want to sit out on my dock and relax for a bit. Catching fish is a plus.
Sounds like a great way to spend the day!
awesome ..... great info
Thank you so much!
I like fishing for fun but I also like catching bass
Me too!
I noticed that when I see minnows by the bank I almost always have a better day.
If you see signs of life, that's usually a good thing!
To me fishing is “Me time” after a long week at work.. don’t get me wrong I like a challenge too with family or friends..
That's the great thing about fishing: it can be whatever you need it to be.
I try to just be casual but then I get mad and start acting all serious. It don't help me catch more fish though.
I think we've all been there, lol!
I’m a tackle junky also, but there a are a lot worse things to be addicted too. My wife thinks I’m nuts.😃
It's easy to get carried away with buying tackle!
*ignored i hate success
Thanks for ignoring!
Just dropping by to leave a comment, definitely not watching the video 😉
*whew* That was a close one! Lol!
