Also notice that he's so sharp using a controller. He's obviously playing this on PC, and using a mouse allows for much better aim than a controller, but he's spot on all of the time. Impressive.

"When did the world's deadliest assassin became false advertising?" Sometimes the plot has to make sense. And the developer being different doesn't mean that developers can learn from the other. Example: Ninja theory made the Devil May Cry reboot and made the antagonist summon a doppelganger, which the original one couldn't do. But in the fifth installment of the original DMC he actually could.
Yeah, but there just comes a point where you can't keep doing the same thing the same way. The Batman franchise in particular has a real problem with this because its library of titles is especially prolific, and expecially repetitive. If it HAD been a sword fight people would have just been comparing it to Origins anyway just for different reasons, and frankly that Origins sword fight is one of the toughest acts to follow in modern gaming. At least this is being judged for being different rather than for being a retread of the same old content. Which is what they'd have said if it was an actual sword fight again.

Boy those 12 hour shifts and 7 day work weeks were rough, but it was all worth it to deliver fans a gorgeous and refined close to a franchise. But we should probably add a stand in boss fight for when the players finish the militia. That would really round out the 10 whole other side missions. -Yeah, but it shouldn't just be some generic commander character, that would be lame. We should bring back a fan favorite character that the fans will love. -So should we get to work on fully programing, animating, and voicing a huge rehash of the boss battle from 2 games ago? -Why would we do that? We need to get to work on one of the biggest season passes of any AAA game of the last 10 years, including 9 story DLCs. The fans will understand. -You're right, it's not like gamers have a track record of the most whiny, entitled, and inconsiderate man-children our repugnant content addicted culture has produced.
Riddler Boss Fight- Riddler gets multiple hits from batman and catwoman and then gets knocked out. Deathstroke Boss Fight- Deathstroke gets 1 hit from batman and is knocked out. HOW DOES THAT MAKES SENSE. The boss fights in this game were pathetic, except for riddler's and pyg's in my opinion.

Riddler-Cocky Smart Guy: Has a fuckin little dress shirt and pants, probably exhausted from setting up riddles all night and making fuckin robots Deathstroke-WORLDS DEADLIEST ASSASSIN: Full armor, has a good healing factor, obviously rested because he was just taunting Batman the whole time prior to fight, and wasn't that affected by the tank battle judging by how easy he ejected from his tank. Not to mention Batman got to kiss Catwoman after the Riddler fight which is an instant win in my book
I liked Hush and Arkham Knight too,Hush was epic which made up for the shortness while Arkham Knight tested your predator skills to the max and made sure that you wouldn't charge in without a plan.Albert King was OK,the fact that only teaming up can beat shows that he is really strong,plus he's really distracting sometimes.
+Bryan Leong Hush was epic how? All it you did was counter him ONCE and you take him out. I love how they basically even tried to cram in his entire backstory in just one short cutscene too. A very poor use of the character, especially after how interesting his side mission in Arkham City. His entire side mission just felt like an afterthought as if Rocksteady completely forgot about him. Arkham Knight's fight was a disappointment. You would assume that since he knows all of batman's tricks that he would actively patrol the room while pointing at known hiding spots or something? Nope instead he just sits in one spot and waits for you to grapple under him, and repeat another 3 times and boom thats it. Honestly if werent for the fact that you had to clear each group of thugs before you can attack him again, the Arkham Knight boss fight would be over much quicker since you can just run up under him and just grapple up at him. Albert King was mediocre at best and that's being generous. His fight just like it was there to just pad out the game and that's all there was to it. The only interesting thing is that you could use dual play but even then it isn't worth remembering.

But the only thing going through my mind as I drove through Gotham City, constantly spinning out and crashing into walls, other vehicles, and people, was, "Batman would never invent something this terribly handling." It wouldn't be a good look for him if a hostage across town got killed because he wrecked on the way there.

When i was going to face deathstroke,i was soooooo hyped cause all the boss battles in the game were bad except the riddler one.But then we face him in a tank boss battle which was a a copy and paste boss battle of the arkham knight tank boss battle

Ok, I don't usually complain at all..... but this...... was totally looking forward to a fight like Arkham Origins except even better, and more.... well, with Arkham Knight's mechanics and stuff. Then I saw the tank battle, and I'm like "Oh, so they'll duke it out in tanks a bit, and then they'll jump out for some epic hand to hand combat...." Nope. After all that buildup..... I mean fuck. With Arkham Knight/Jason Todd I can understand, he was the original commander of this militia, he was big on the tanks and stuff like that.... that was kind of suiting (though I would've liked to see a combat battle between him and Batman still). But Deathstroke is Batman's equal in combat. Deathstroke gives zero fucks about all the other shit except killing Batman, so his boss fight shouldn't have been reduced to a fucking tank battle and a single punch. Smfh.

Yeah remember that fight in Origins was a fresh Slade against a Batman who'd been flying around the city, fighting all night. Slade clearly hasn't evolved one bit since Origins, so of course a Batman who's seen his schtick before just basically splats him
this boss fight beat Arkham Knight identity in terms of disappointment level. Rocksteady should really fix this by adding more hand to hand combat boss fights in GOTY edition not just those money grabbing DLCs. But, one could only hope so . . .
Croz Raven Complete/ultimate edition is fine with me, but the amount of tank fights in this game is too damn high, I don't think it can get a GOTY award/edition. The thing that disappoints me most is that we saw Killer Croc in Arkham City, where he promised Batman that he would get his revenge, leading us to think he would play a big role in this game... only to find out he's in a hallucination for less than 10 seconds, without saying a word, he just got crushed by the Jokermobile and we never saw him again. This game could have been so much more if they didn't focus that much on the Batmobile. Maybe they shouldn't have included Arkham Knight at all, when Scarecrow is a much more interesting villain.
Batman getting pragmatic with Deathstroke when he hopped out of the tank is excusable, but when they got to GCPD, they should have had Deathstroke hop out of the Batmobile to fight Batman because there is just no way that he would just submit when he got pulled out of the car. Then there should have been a two-phase boss-fight: the first would be a hand-to-hand fight requiring Batman using all his combat and gadget skills and the second a stealth fight like with Mr. Freeze in _City_ forcing Batman to use all stealth skills. Not only would this boss fight be satisfying, but it would also hammer in the point that Deathstroke is an assassin will all of Batman's talent. Edit: I have tried to edit "will" to "with," but it will not let me. Just know that I have tried and failed multiple times.
Maybe one-shotting Slade here was Rocksteady's way of saying "look how much tougher/smarter Batman got since he started fighting crime". I'm not gonna argue with that. The Batman I know, and the playstyle I tend to use, is to win by any means available. Weapons crate? Booby-trap it. Medic defibrillator? Sabotage it. But this was not what I expected, or even wanted, and it had so much build-up. It perfectly encapsulates why the Arkham Knight himself was a letdown. This was a foe established as a physical and mental equal to Batman. A sinister force who knows how Batman ticks. Someone for whom Batman will have to use every trick up his sleeve. A final exam for everything the Arkham games have to offer. Nope. Use grates. Use gargoyles. Use Fear Takedown. Rinse and repeat. Arkham Knight disappears. Appears at the end for two seconds. Never seen again.
I'm aware my opinion is a very unpopular one but I've always felt Deathstroke was kind of uninteresting and overhyped and never as really good as all of the atmosphere and fuss that surrounds him.
After playing Asylum, City and Origins, and find that Shiva, Slade and Bane (prior Venom) were the hardest that I encounter in the whole three games, in Asylum and City the boss battles were resume in find the opponent weakness and use it against them, over, and over, and over again, in Origins with Shiva, Slade and Bane you need actually fight, fists to fists, because they are as good fighters as you and if you make a mistake, you die.

I love the Batmobile and it's really fun to zoom around Gotham in it but Rocksteady overused the Batmobile. It got to the point where I didn't like the batmobile simply because the missions it was involved with were horrendously tedious. Still... It's fun to zoom around Gotham.... in a the Dark Knight Returns Bat-tank. Seriously, its the same, sort of.
The Batmobile in TDKR is basically a WWI era battletank. This looks more like a WWII era armored car. Both are impressive to the civilian eye but severely outdated against real combat tech. The 'mobile has some serious plot armor.
Now I understand the negative comments. So much buildup for such a lame boss fight. Also, I think this was the last side mission you completed. What next?
I feel like the side missions in this game were repetitive. Firefly: chase him, punch him, repeat. Two face: Stop him from robbing a bank. Three times. The same thing every time Penguin: beat up some guys, close the door, boom. 5 times. The only REALLY good ones were Riddler Azrael Jack Ryder Hush (sorta)

Honestly this boss fight was so underwhelming It should've been split into three types of levels to take down Deathstroke 1st Level: Batmobile Tank boss battle 2nd Level: Predator battle 3rd Level: Deathstroke solo combat fight

I was convinced that when deathstroke came out his tank we were going to a serious hand to hand combat finale. I can't even imagine how the game devs thought this would be a fitting fight for deathstroke (who is notorious for his tank operating skills). I just have no idea what they were thinking
I am tired of people whining about this game because of "lack of boss battles". A good game isn't defined by boss battles. I am so glad that Arkham Knight doesn't rely on boss battles as a crutch to be superior to previous games in the series. Also, Tank combat was only 20 percent of the game. It's been mathematically proven. There are videos on TH-cam that confirm this. Improved combat + improved stealth + improved gliding + improved puzzles + improved graphics + improved and a denser open world + improved level design = Arkham knight is a VASTLY superior game to any previous Arkham game.
Arkham Asylum is about isolation, putting batman in the last place he wants to be. Arkham City gave us the open world to explore. And giving us a better guiding experience to explore. Arkham Knight gives us the Batmobile. The one thing missing in all the games. So I don't blame them after doing exploration with minimal gliding, open world focusing on the caped crusader side, to lean towards the batmobile. And all these 'Arkham Tank', and 'Tank simulator' comments are getting annoying.
Detective Crusader Why not tank with people inside? See how Batman handles this. Batmobile was a car for Batman, for him to travel from point A to B faster, and that tank mode is something Rocksteady introduced in the universe, yet, they've overused it. A lot. There are more tanks that armed thugs with rifles in this game.
I feel like the boss fight had way more potential, like when he jumped out he could have easily gotten off the ground, and away from Batman's one hit K.O, but even if that didn't happen, i would have loved for them to do a boss fight at the police station when he got him out of the car and Deathstroke just starts going ham, which is what i thinking lol but oh well, still a great game none the less, just recently clocked it, but i feel like this whole boss had more potential :)
IDK CBF After getting the platinum trophy in Arkham Knight on ps4, doing 200% everything possible to do in the main game and AR challenges, I can say that in my opinion, this was not a great game. It was a good game though. But I personally still declare Arkham City to be the best Batman game ever. At least, that's what I believe :)

Slade got rattled pretty good in that tank, is my guess. If you've ever seen a tank take a hit, it's a pretty traumatic experience, even if the armor holds. They had to install special liners because when a tank got hit bits of tank would fly around and cut the crew (called spalling), and the concussion conducted through the armor and caused the crew to hit their heads on things even when the tank survived the attack. Veterans compared the sound of a shell hitting the armor and deflecting to what a bell might sound like if it rings while you're inside it. Lots of crewmen lost their headings or had concussions even after successful tank on tank fights.

Personally I like to think of it this way; When Batman fought Deathstroke the first time in Arkham Origins he was unprepared and didn't have much time to react to someone like Deathstroke, not to mention he had only been Batman for 2 years so he's still kinda new to fighting experienced mercenaries. After being Batman for so long and knowing what makes Deathstroke tick? He knew him better than to go head to head. Ergo wait for an opening, launch out, take him down quick. Even Batman knows a direct fight isn't a good idea.

Probably that they could make a complicated expensive hand to hand battle between Batman and Deathstroke tat people would still complain about because the Origins fight was awesome and it would be next to impossible to top it even with current gen tech, or go in a completely different direction. my guess? They wanted a tank battle and looked for a villain to lead it. Batman's rogue's gallery is almost 100% gangster, with practically no military experience at all anywhere to be found. Deathstroke was the only option that didn't involve creating an entirely new villain. I mean who else from the existing gallery could we use to command a tank battle against Batman? The Penguin? So they used Deathstroke because he was the least terrible fit for something they already wanted to do.
Deathstroke is one dangerous assassin for hire who used Terra to do his bidding and he’s very skillful but most importantly he focuses on Batman to try and get paid for every contract he accepts
When you defeated the Tank (which was a lot easier than the Arkham Knight's tank) and see Slade jump out with his sword, you think 'damn, this is going to be epic, a one on one fight with Deathstroke in the middle of the street'. But no...

I was angry at how deathstroke was portrayed in Arkham Origins, but it's glorified compared to this bullshit.what makes this worse is that slade teases you by taunting you saying stuff like "I've honed my skills, have you?" and references a rematch between him and batman. this makes you think that YOU'LL ACTUALLY FIGHT HIM HAND TO HAND but no. instead we get the cloudburst bossfight AGAIN. I almost feel like they added the batmobile to this game as an easy way to have generic as fuck boss fights. what happened to rocksteady???? they used to have some creativity with boss fights with these important villains, that seems to be all but gone now. Not only did he go up against the world's deadliest assasin ever in an easy ass tank battle, but when they came out to fight hand to hand, Batman defeated him in one punch. He could've easily defended himself, even getting out of the car
Fun fact: During the game you can overhear some militia thugs radio chatter where they say something along the lines of "I've heard arkham knight has hired an assassin to take down the bat"
For what it's worth, I think that the batmobile is well designed and the gameplay with it works well, but it's just used to much. A side mission here and there and maybe a boss fight, not most of the major villains and a lot of the side activities.
The deathstroke we know and love from the comics, wears badass prometheum armour, has immense stamina and strength, has incredible acrobatic skills, capability to use most of his brain for strategic calculations during combat and almost unrivalled combat prowess capable of going toe to toe with superhumans and emerge from the fight almost unscathed as well as fight both batman and the bat family in a 1 vs many match and either win or come to a standstill. The deathstroke of arkham knight, ? Omg what have they done to you? They wasted all of deathstroke's potential by making him part of a tank battle, ah rocksteady what have you done. Such a badass villain wasted, so much potential for the most incredible boss battle in arkham history but no, you had to mess things up so badly.
Some fat guy with a pig mask: has an actual decent and tough boss fight where his goons can’t be permanently knocked down unless you go out of your way. Skinny green nerd that likes puzzles: takes a shit ton of hits to beat, has a huge robot, and makes minions immune to certain character’s attacks. World’s deadliest assassin: Copies his boss battle from the Arkham Knight and Cloudburst and gets knocked out in one hit. It makes sense, really.
This was one of my biggest problems with this game... all these tank vs tank missions. Even more so, this was the mission I hated the most. The fact we don't get to fight Deathstroke properly was a huge disappointment to me. The fight in Arkham Origins was the highlight of that game for me.

And the developer being different doesn't mean that developers can learn from the other.
Example: Ninja theory made the Devil May Cry reboot and made the antagonist summon a doppelganger, which the original one couldn't do. But in the fifth installment of the original DMC he actually could.

Yeah, but there just comes a point where you can't keep doing the same thing the same way. The Batman franchise in particular has a real problem with this because its library of titles is especially prolific, and expecially repetitive.
If it HAD been a sword fight people would have just been comparing it to Origins anyway just for different reasons, and frankly that Origins sword fight is one of the toughest acts to follow in modern gaming. At least this is being judged for being different rather than for being a retread of the same old content. Which is what they'd have said if it was an actual sword fight again.

+Bryan Leong Hush was epic how? All it you did was counter him ONCE and you take him out. I love how they basically even tried to cram in his entire backstory in just one short cutscene too. A very poor use of the character, especially after how interesting his side mission in Arkham City. His entire side mission just felt like an afterthought as if Rocksteady completely forgot about him.
Arkham Knight's fight was a disappointment. You would assume that since he knows all of batman's tricks that he would actively patrol the room while pointing at known hiding spots or something? Nope instead he just sits in one spot and waits for you to grapple under him, and repeat another 3 times and boom thats it. Honestly if werent for the fact that you had to clear each group of thugs before you can attack him again, the Arkham Knight boss fight would be over much quicker since you can just run up under him and just grapple up at him.
Albert King was mediocre at best and that's being generous. His fight just like it was there to just pad out the game and that's all there was to it. The only interesting thing is that you could use dual play but even then it isn't worth remembering.

But the only thing going through my mind as I drove through Gotham City, constantly spinning out and crashing into walls, other vehicles, and people, was, "Batman would never invent something this terribly handling." It wouldn't be a good look for him if a hostage across town got killed because he wrecked on the way there.

Ok, I don't usually complain at all..... but this...... was totally looking forward to a fight like Arkham Origins except even better, and more.... well, with Arkham Knight's mechanics and stuff. Then I saw the tank battle, and I'm like "Oh, so they'll duke it out in tanks a bit, and then they'll jump out for some epic hand to hand combat...." Nope. After all that buildup..... I mean fuck. With Arkham Knight/Jason Todd I can understand, he was the original commander of this militia, he was big on the tanks and stuff like that.... that was kind of suiting (though I would've liked to see a combat battle between him and Batman still). But Deathstroke is Batman's equal in combat. Deathstroke gives zero fucks about all the other shit except killing Batman, so his boss fight shouldn't have been reduced to a fucking tank battle and a single punch. Smfh.

I have to hand it to you, you take on this fight skillfully and swiftly enough to not make it look tedious, and even enjoyable to watch.
this boss fight beat Arkham Knight identity in terms of disappointment level. Rocksteady should really fix this by adding more hand to hand combat boss fights in GOTY edition not just those money grabbing DLCs. But, one could only hope so . . .

Croz Raven Complete/ultimate edition is fine with me, but the amount of tank fights in this game is too damn high, I don't think it can get a GOTY award/edition.
The thing that disappoints me most is that we saw Killer Croc in Arkham City, where he promised Batman that he would get his revenge, leading us to think he would play a big role in this game... only to find out he's in a hallucination for less than 10 seconds, without saying a word, he just got crushed by the Jokermobile and we never saw him again.
This game could have been so much more if they didn't focus that much on the Batmobile. Maybe they shouldn't have included Arkham Knight at all, when Scarecrow is a much more interesting villain.
Croz Raven I would have liked if they put much more fear and horror into the game, it would have fit perfectly with Scarecrows theme.

Batman getting pragmatic with Deathstroke when he hopped out of the tank is excusable, but when they got to GCPD, they should have had Deathstroke hop out of the Batmobile to fight Batman because there is just no way that he would just submit when he got pulled out of the car.
Then there should have been a two-phase boss-fight: the first would be a hand-to-hand fight requiring Batman using all his combat and gadget skills and the second a stealth fight like with Mr. Freeze in _City_ forcing Batman to use all stealth skills.
Not only would this boss fight be satisfying, but it would also hammer in the point that Deathstroke is an assassin will all of Batman's talent.
Edit: I have tried to edit "will" to "with," but it will not let me. Just know that I have tried and failed multiple times.
Maybe one-shotting Slade here was Rocksteady's way of saying "look how much tougher/smarter Batman got since he started fighting crime". I'm not gonna argue with that. The Batman I know, and the playstyle I tend to use, is to win by any means available. Weapons crate? Booby-trap it. Medic defibrillator? Sabotage it.
But this was not what I expected, or even wanted, and it had so much build-up. It perfectly encapsulates why the Arkham Knight himself was a letdown. This was a foe established as a physical and mental equal to Batman. A sinister force who knows how Batman ticks. Someone for whom Batman will have to use every trick up his sleeve. A final exam for everything the Arkham games have to offer.
Nope. Use grates. Use gargoyles. Use Fear Takedown. Rinse and repeat. Arkham Knight disappears. Appears at the end for two seconds. Never seen again.
I'm aware my opinion is a very unpopular one but I've always felt Deathstroke was kind of uninteresting and overhyped and never as really good as all of the atmosphere and fuss that surrounds him.

Most of the Boss fights in Origins were better.
After playing Asylum, City and Origins, and find that Shiva, Slade and Bane (prior Venom) were the hardest that I encounter in the whole three games, in Asylum and City the boss battles were resume in find the opponent weakness and use it against them, over, and over, and over again, in Origins with Shiva, Slade and Bane you need actually fight, fists to fists, because they are as good fighters as you and if you make a mistake, you die.
i sense you hate origins and barely could say that it had a good boss fight. it had the best bosses, and its my fav arkham game.

I love the Batmobile and it's really fun to zoom around Gotham in it but Rocksteady overused the Batmobile. It got to the point where I didn't like the batmobile simply because the missions it was involved with were horrendously tedious. Still... It's fun to zoom around Gotham.... in a the Dark Knight Returns Bat-tank. Seriously, its the same, sort of.
The Batmobile in TDKR is basically a WWI era battletank. This looks more like a WWII era armored car. Both are impressive to the civilian eye but severely outdated against real combat tech. The 'mobile has some serious plot armor.

I am tired of people whining about this game because of "lack of boss battles". A good game isn't defined by boss battles. I am so glad that Arkham Knight doesn't rely on boss battles as a crutch to be superior to previous games in the series.
Also, Tank combat was only 20 percent of the game. It's been mathematically proven. There are videos on TH-cam that confirm this.
Improved combat + improved stealth + improved gliding + improved puzzles + improved graphics + improved and a denser open world + improved level design = Arkham knight is a VASTLY superior game to any previous Arkham game.

Arkham Asylum is about isolation, putting batman in the last place he wants to be.
Arkham City gave us the open world to explore. And giving us a better guiding experience to explore.
Arkham Knight gives us the Batmobile. The one thing missing in all the games. So I don't blame them after doing exploration with minimal gliding, open world focusing on the caped crusader side, to lean towards the batmobile.
And all these 'Arkham Tank', and 'Tank simulator' comments are getting annoying.
Detective Crusader Why not tank with people inside? See how Batman handles this. Batmobile was a car for Batman, for him to travel from point A to B faster, and that tank mode is something Rocksteady introduced in the universe, yet, they've overused it. A lot. There are more tanks that armed thugs with rifles in this game.
I feel like the boss fight had way more potential, like when he jumped out he could have easily gotten off the ground, and away from Batman's one hit K.O, but even if that didn't happen, i would have loved for them to do a boss fight at the police station when he got him out of the car and Deathstroke just starts going ham, which is what i thinking lol but oh well, still a great game none the less, just recently clocked it, but i feel like this whole boss had more potential :)
IDK CBF After getting the platinum trophy in Arkham Knight on ps4, doing 200% everything possible to do in the main game and AR challenges, I can say that in my opinion, this was not a great game. It was a good game though. But I personally still declare Arkham City to be the best Batman game ever. At least, that's what I believe :)

Slade got rattled pretty good in that tank, is my guess. If you've ever seen a tank take a hit, it's a pretty traumatic experience, even if the armor holds. They had to install special liners because when a tank got hit bits of tank would fly around and cut the crew (called spalling), and the concussion conducted through the armor and caused the crew to hit their heads on things even when the tank survived the attack. Veterans compared the sound of a shell hitting the armor and deflecting to what a bell might sound like if it rings while you're inside it.
Lots of crewmen lost their headings or had concussions even after successful tank on tank fights.
@@hagamapama but deathstroke is a super soldier..and after his tank got destroyed, he jumped off of the tank like a ninja, but then got easily knocked out by batman..the deathstroke fight in this game had so much potential, but they ruined it

Personally I like to think of it this way; When Batman fought Deathstroke the first time in Arkham Origins he was unprepared and didn't have much time to react to someone like Deathstroke, not to mention he had only been Batman for 2 years so he's still kinda new to fighting experienced mercenaries. After being Batman for so long and knowing what makes Deathstroke tick? He knew him better than to go head to head. Ergo wait for an opening, launch out, take him down quick. Even Batman knows a direct fight isn't a good idea.

One of the few enemies that can take on batman in combat and they make it a dumb tank battle and then batman knocks him out with one punch!!???What the hell was rocksteady thinking.
Probably that they could make a complicated expensive hand to hand battle between Batman and Deathstroke tat people would still complain about because the Origins fight was awesome and it would be next to impossible to top it even with current gen tech, or go in a completely different direction.
my guess? They wanted a tank battle and looked for a villain to lead it. Batman's rogue's gallery is almost 100% gangster, with practically no military experience at all anywhere to be found. Deathstroke was the only option that didn't involve creating an entirely new villain.
I mean who else from the existing gallery could we use to command a tank battle against Batman? The Penguin? So they used Deathstroke because he was the least terrible fit for something they already wanted to do.
Deathstroke is one dangerous assassin for hire who used Terra to do his bidding and he’s very skillful but most importantly he focuses on Batman to try and get paid for every contract he accepts
When you defeated the Tank (which was a lot easier than the Arkham Knight's tank) and see Slade jump out with his sword, you think 'damn, this is going to be epic, a one on one fight with Deathstroke in the middle of the street'. But no...
If it was a tank than hand-to-hand battle.
That would've been cool of rocksteady to do.

I was angry at how deathstroke was portrayed in Arkham Origins, but it's glorified compared to this bullshit.what makes this worse is that slade teases you by taunting you saying stuff like "I've honed my skills, have you?" and references a rematch between him and batman. this makes you think that YOU'LL ACTUALLY FIGHT HIM HAND TO HAND but no. instead we get the cloudburst bossfight AGAIN.
I almost feel like they added the batmobile to this game as an easy way to have generic as fuck boss fights. what happened to rocksteady???? they used to have some creativity with boss fights with these important villains, that seems to be all but gone now.
I'm so sick of deathstroke being a pushover all the time. This is someone who wipes the floor with batman in comics and he's just shown over and over to be useless now. IF WBM CAN DO A COMBAT BOSSFIGHT THAT'S FAIRLY DECENT AND COULD BE IMPROVED, SO CAN YOU ROCKSTEADY. except better. this game is so lazy and such a letdown. Arkham Origins is twice the batman game that Arkham Knight is... and I hated arkham origins. Rocksteady have nothing to be proud of with this game.

Almost every single boss in Arkham Asylum was "throw a batarang and roll away". They have always been shit at boss fights. Mr Freeze was the exception, not the rule.

Yeah Deathstroke was just shoehorned in this game so he can fill in for Arkham Knight. You have to understand though. We are playing as Batman in a Batman game so of course we are going to win against Deathstroke.

So when Death Stroke jumps from the tank I was like 'OK Let's Go NOW WE GOT A REAL EPIC FIGHT!'
and then Bat Man knocked Slade out in one punch like 'Where's the epicness from Origins'
Not only did he go up against the world's deadliest assasin ever in an easy ass tank battle, but when they came out to fight hand to hand, Batman defeated him in one punch. He could've easily defended himself, even getting out of the car
Fun fact: During the game you can overhear some militia thugs radio chatter where they say something along the lines of "I've heard arkham knight has hired an assassin to take down the bat"
For what it's worth, I think that the batmobile is well designed and the gameplay with it works well, but it's just used to much. A side mission here and there and maybe a boss fight, not most of the major villains and a lot of the side activities.
I really expected a boss fight like in Arkham Origins, but adding too much of batmobile was one of the biggest mistake of Rocksteady.
You know the boss battle is trash when the boss you’re fighting wishes the battle to be hand on hand combat.

The deathstroke we know and love from the comics, wears badass prometheum armour, has immense stamina and strength, has incredible acrobatic skills, capability to use most of his brain for strategic calculations during combat and almost unrivalled combat prowess capable of going toe to toe with superhumans and emerge from the fight almost unscathed as well as fight both batman and the bat family in a 1 vs many match and either win or come to a standstill. The deathstroke of arkham knight,
? Omg what have they done to you? They wasted all of deathstroke's potential by making him part of a tank battle, ah rocksteady what have you done. Such a badass villain wasted, so much potential for the most incredible boss battle in arkham history but no, you had to mess things up so badly.
Some fat guy with a pig mask: has an actual decent and tough boss fight where his goons can’t be permanently knocked down unless you go out of your way.
Skinny green nerd that likes puzzles: takes a shit ton of hits to beat, has a huge robot, and makes minions immune to certain character’s attacks.
World’s deadliest assassin: Copies his boss battle from the Arkham Knight and Cloudburst and gets knocked out in one hit.
It makes sense, really.
This was one of my biggest problems with this game... all these tank vs tank missions. Even more so, this was the mission I hated the most. The fact we don't get to fight Deathstroke properly was a huge disappointment to me. The fight in Arkham Origins was the highlight of that game for me.
Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke a former US Army Lieutenant Colonel as mentioned in Arkham Origins he was a subject of failed experiment, the experiment was stimulating his adrenal gland in the hopes of increasing a soldier's ability to resist the truth serums, when the experiment fails he fell into a coma however, when he awakened he discovered he's capable of using 90% of his brain capacity and his strength, durability and agility was increased to superhuman levels
