Please read this comment before commenting on this video I used the title so that this video would get recommended to more people. I don't actually consider myself a master or pro at combat in any Batman: Arkham game. If you're wondering how Batman is defeating enemies in one hit: In some combat challenges in this game, like Precinct Clockwork this one and a few others, enemies will go down in one critical strike when your special combo meter is full, and if you have the upgrade from the main story that increases the amount of damage your critical strikes do when your special combo meter is full. If you're wondering how Batman is moving so fast: This game has a unique mechanic where the more critical strikes you perform perfectly, the faster your character gets, and you reach the maximum freeflow speed at around a x60 combo, but some moves like evading twice in a row or misstiming a strike will reset your freeflow speed. This feature sadly got removed on the PC version of the game, but it's still on XBOX and Playstation If you think that using variation means you're a master at combat, that's not entirely true because being a master means being very skilled at something, and you don't need to be a master or that skilled at the Arkham games to use variation. You need to be very good at the game to get a combo this high on Newton's Cradle as Batman, though, and I doubt it's something many players can do. It’s stuff like this that reminds me that Arkham Asylum (and by extension, the rest of the series) was supposed to be a rhythm game akin to Guitar Hero. While there’s obviously no quick time button prompts for each strike, every punch and target switch has a very methodical flow to it that requires a bit more than just “keep pressing X lol”.
So general question. this is honestly the fastest I've ever seen batman strike on this game. Is there like a mod or an animation cancel that speeds up his attacks?
Before the battison suit update this game had a unique mechanic where the more critical strikes you perform perfectly, the faster your character gets and you would reach the maxium freeflow speed at a x60 combo, but some moves like evading twice in a row or misstiming a strike would reset your freeflow speed Rocksteady seems to have brought back some of the speed in the update that fixed the battison suit's shadow, but it still seems a bit slower than it was before the first battison suit update.
Can't believe I'm still learning new things about these games. I never knew you could just freeze big guys and punch them without needing to stun them first. It seems so obvious and yet I've never known about it.
If I am just mashing the attack I would like to see you record a video of yo getting a x600 combo on this combat challenge/map which only 2 players in the world have done by just mashing the attack button and I can easily use variation if I wanted to My goal here was to get the highest combo possible and this is the best way to do so using variation would have decreased my overall combo also doing this combat challenge flawlessly with variation is not really that hard or impressive getting a x600 combo on this map though is soemthing I doubt many players are skilled enough to do but maybe you will prove me wrong
@@MoonArkham Well my comment wasn't meant to underestimate this accomplishment of yours as my personal interpretation of Arkham Knight combat mastery is combat variation, like using more combos and gadgets. @@carlosong4232 what does mastering combat have to do with variation? most of the best players barely use any variation in their combat and yes I will admit that 90% of this is the attack button that is kind of the point though I also don't really understand why you want me to admit that most of this video was me pressing the attack button
I feel like the Batman Beyond suit should’ve been the canonical upgraded suit for Batman in this game. 1) It’s a perfect bridge to the suit in the Batman Beyond series 2) It’s looks more like the Arkham Knight suit which makes the imitation more impactful 3) Without the cape, his movements look more impactful - especially in combat - because there’s no thought in the back of your brain going “man, imagine if he wasn’t dragging a cape behind him.”
I wouldn't really say this clip is representative of how combat works for your average player. It's been awhile, but I'll be honest I've got no idea what the hell he's doing here to get instant downs right away. That's just not how it works. Play the game and find out for yourself. They're fun and really well made.
Personally I would say both combat systems capture how both characters fight amazingly but I don't really know which one is better I guess it depends on my mood but Spider-Man gives you a lot more mobility and room to be creative
@silasgreaves6134 On combat challenges with weaker enemies like Newton's Cradle Shark Bait Precinct Clockwork and a few other ones all playable characters can take out most enemies in one hit once you full up the combo meter and do critical strikes with the freeflow upgrade from the story mode (I forgot what it is called) but whatever character you're playing as does less damage when the combo meter is not full which is why I was using rec gadgets and freeze grenades to reset it as quickly as possible But yeah Marvel's Spider-Man and the Arkham Series are probably my favorite games ever made I do recommend playing Marvel's Spider-Man and the Arkham games if you have not already to anybody who is reading this because it might look lame to That-KidDo but both games are actually a lot better once you play them for yourself Also one more thing I forgot to add I do agree with you that this does not really show how combat works for average players
Spiderman's combat is compared to this. Batman Arkham came first. He's not using any special abilities, just getting the highest combo. I thought even a cocky marvel fan would understand that...

I also recommend using the batswarm move against the Abramovici twins in Batman Arkham City and the enforcers in Batman Arkham Origins while you're doing a beatdown on them to keep other enemies stunned the batswarm is also useful for crowd control
You should also use the freeze blast grenade or the glue grenade against enemies that you struggle fighting to keep them out of the fight while you focus on other enemies but once you get really good at handling multiple enemies at once without losing your combo you don't really need to use the freeze blast grenade or glue grenade

@@alitul666 I do think it is best to just evade if you don't know what to do and if you need time to think about your next move
As for the brutes and ninjas they can be pretty hard to deal with which is why I usually just use a special combo takedown on them I recommend throwing a batarang at the charging thugs because it will instantly knock them out it is also best to use disarm and destroy on most weapons like I said you can also use the rec gadget on armored thugs to knock them down for a few seconds
The funniest part it is not his best score.
Terry be like
"that's it? Huh? ... Wonder if Dana's still up. I should give her a call."
So general question. this is honestly the fastest I've ever seen batman strike on this game. Is there like a mod or an animation cancel that speeds up his attacks?
Before the battison suit update this game had a unique mechanic where the more critical strikes you perform perfectly, the faster your character gets and you would reach the maxium freeflow speed at a x60 combo, but some moves like evading twice in a row or misstiming a strike would reset your freeflow speed
Rocksteady seems to have brought back some of the speed in the update that fixed the battison suit's shadow, but it still seems a bit slower than it was before the first battison suit update.
@@MoonArkham dang. That's sick to see at max. Thank you!
Bro thats basically how I am in arkham knight combat and it is relatable.
Que luta mais pica das galáxias 🤩🤩🤩🤩👍🏿
Can't believe I'm still learning new things about these games. I never knew you could just freeze big guys and punch them without needing to stun them first. It seems so obvious and yet I've never known about it.
Most of this is just mashing the attack button. No variety in combat at all other than the occasional remote electrical charge and freeze grenade.
If I am just mashing the attack I would like to see you record a video of yo getting a x600 combo on this combat challenge/map which only 2 players in the world have done by just mashing the attack button and I can easily use variation if I wanted to
My goal here was to get the highest combo possible and this is the best way to do so using variation would have decreased my overall combo also doing this combat challenge flawlessly with variation is not really that hard or impressive getting a x600 combo on this map though is soemthing I doubt many players are skilled enough to do but maybe you will prove me wrong
@@MoonArkham
You just checkmated the conversation, Dropped the mic 🎙️, Honestly your right.
@@MoonArkham Well my comment wasn't meant to underestimate this accomplishment of yours as my personal interpretation of Arkham Knight combat mastery is combat variation, like using more combos and gadgets. It's just that this seems more "boring" to me personally. You gotta admit that 90% of this is just the attack button. Didn't mean to sound negative, just my personal opinion. Cheers.
1) It’s a perfect bridge to the suit in the Batman Beyond series
2) It’s looks more like the Arkham Knight suit which makes the imitation more impactful
3) Without the cape, his movements look more impactful - especially in combat - because there’s no thought in the back of your brain going “man, imagine if he wasn’t dragging a cape behind him.”
This looks lame, why do people even dare to compare this Spider-Man’s combat.
@silasgreaves6134 On combat challenges with weaker enemies like Newton's Cradle Shark Bait Precinct Clockwork and a few other ones all playable characters can take out most enemies in one hit once you full up the combo meter and do critical strikes with the freeflow upgrade from the story mode (I forgot what it is called) but whatever character you're playing as does less damage when the combo meter is not full which is why I was using rec gadgets and freeze grenades to reset it as quickly as possible
But yeah Marvel's Spider-Man and the Arkham Series are probably my favorite games ever made I do recommend playing Marvel's Spider-Man and the Arkham games if you have not already to anybody who is reading this because it might look lame to That-KidDo but both games are actually a lot better once you play them for yourself
Also one more thing I forgot to add I do agree with you that this does not really show how combat works for average players
Spiderman's combat is compared to this. Batman Arkham came first. He's not using any special abilities, just getting the highest combo. I thought even a cocky marvel fan would understand that...

I feel like I just watched an episode of "One Punch Man!" Great job! Seriously, my jaw was on the floor for the entirety of the video.
Imagine if the bodies didn't despawn, and you're just knee-deep on them by the end.
