    should i buy a Quest 2 OR wait for the possible rumored Quest LITE?

      It's hard to say right now. But if we go on rumors, it will enter at a price point of 199 without controllers. I'd personally rather pick up a quest 2 right now with controllers

    I love the Quest cult clips.
    I didn't find the stock strap on my Quest 2 that bad, but it was noticeable how much more I used it, and introduced others to it, once I grabbed a Bobo VR m2 Pro+ strap. I think it's not just the added comfort, but the speed and ease of putting it on and adjusting it properly. I ordered the equivalent strap and silicone cover for my Quest 3 before it had even arrived. I've heard some people have issues with their batteries with the Quest 3 version, but the 3 I have seem fine. No buzzing noise or sudden loss of power, but apparently YMMV.
    The clarity of the pancake lenses vs the fresnel lenses is something you just have to see to really understand the difference it makes. Although I did really notice the comparative lack of binocular overlap with the Quest 3 when I first got it. Bugged me for the first couple of weeks, but now I don't notice (not sure if one of the updates increased the brightness at the edges to compensate or I've just grown accustomed to it).
    Another downside of the upgrade was the extra resolution put more strain on my GPU than I thought, but then it's only a 6600 XT and that just doesn't really cut it for PCVR titles (let alone playing anything rated higher than "potato" with the UEVR mod). I've found the Link/Airlink software is also subpar with AMD. My previous card was a 1660 Ti and it had less shimmering edges and jaggies despite being about 50% slower in frame rates (only using link/airlink, Virtual Desktop was fine). Tried all the settings. Also things like video playback in VRchat not working properly. Probably go back to Nvidia with one of the Super series.

      Thanks for your comment and detailed experience, the speed and ease of taking it on and off is something I completely forgot about mentioning. I came from a Pico 4 and I noticed it as well with the stock strap of the Q3.
      Glad you are enjoying the upgrade and getting use to the new improved performance even if it does come with a bit more strain on your PC.
      I found a few issues as well in PC VR with the quest and Steamlink but I think that's due to my router set up being in the other room and having a load of other devices connected, so I got VD again and it's been working well ever since then.

    My dream is to have a Quest 3, but I live in Brazil, and it's very expensive, equivalent to almost $3,000, and I can't afford it

      Ah mate, it's expensive. Quest 2 is still solid

      Its the music video from an album called Duality, by Captain Murphy. One of my favs. If you give it a google search you should find it but it often gets taken down from youtube as there is a lot of X-rated content on it

  • @nfc14g

    Funny vid, very good. I find the clunkiness, sweatiness and overall weight of the quest to the worst bit. When VR gets smaller and lighter it will be a game changer. I wonder if computer monitors will look to use similar tech, or that's even viable.

    • @thevrcoach

      I'm with you on that one, It's only a matter of time before the AR glasses are as powerful as the quest!

    Underrated content tbh
    This was an amazing video. I was considering getting the quest 3 for $600 but the $400 ver for 128gb is very tempting. My choice is clear now, 128gb is not a bad choice especially since im already used to uninstalling and reinstalling games on the ps5.
    Thank you VR Coach for a very intuitive video.

      Thanks for the kind comment! Yeah I have about 10 games including Asgards Wrath 2 and Assassins creed all installed on the 128gb right now and have about 5gb left. I probably should have finished AC before starting on Asgards wrath in hindsight

    • @thevrcoach
      @thevrcoach  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Mode-Agma I don't think we'll see a price drop any time soon, unfortunately. The quest 2 is still a decent budget option and there were rumors of a quest 3 lite which would come at a lower price

    • @ModeBrawlStars
      @ModeBrawlStars 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thevrcoach yeah, the price increase from 2 to 3 is significant, a version which is the best of both and in the middle somewhere would be lowkey perfect, thanks for the help!

    Using pc games on vr does it work flawless? Can you use it with mac?

    • @thevrcoach
      @thevrcoach  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The quality will depend on the your computer specs and how your are streaming it to your headset. I personally have a 4070 and a decent router but it's in the other room and isn't a dedicated router just for VR. I get pretty good experience on medium-high settings on all games, except kayak mirage, I had to turn that down. Right now i use virtual desktop, as I kept getting disconnected with Steamlink.
      As for Mac I don't really have any experience. I did a quick search and looks like SteamVR Beta as of last year supports mac but I'm not sure if any of the PCVR games actually work with mac. I wouldn't recommend getting into PC VR if you only have a mac.. at least for now, let's see if things change with the apple vision pro release.

    I currently have a Windows mixed reality headset (samsung oddesey) but I don't really use it anymore for a few reasons: the cable (always in the way), i moved and the room is not big enough where my pc is.. With the meta quest 3 this would solve both issues for me + i really like the augmented reality passthrough. Still not sure if i should wait tho or get this one now, I'm really tempted to buy it tho.

      WMR club! I was using a Lenovo explorer as my headset for 3 year, when I switched to wireless VR I knew I would never go back and my time in VR did increase quite a bit. I'm pretty happy with the Quest 3 and given all your games are probably on steam you have quite a few ways to connect it for wireless PC VR gaming. Do you have a decent sized playspace somewhere else in your house?

      @@thevrcoach Hey, that's nice to hear! I just bought one for myself as well, couldn't resist all the things i saw haha. I hope connecting to wireless pc vr is not as much as a hastle. Yeah my living room is big enough, I hope that it will all work out that my PC is upstairs and my living room downstairs and I can still connect wireless to it, because of mesh wifi, we'll see. :)

      @raynlaze1339 a great decision! I hope you enjoy it. You can see how you get on with steamlink, but for some reason, I get better performance when playing with virtual desktop for my pcvr gaming sessions

      In what way is your performance better with virtual desktop and how does it work?

    • @thevrcoach
      @thevrcoach  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @raynlaze1339 steamlink is easier to connect, it's free and the visuals look great but for some reason I keep getting disconnected. When I use virtual desktop it doesn't happen, and my pcvr sessions are smooth. I have my pc plugged in via ethernet and then we just have one router in our house with all the devices connected, so it's not the ideal set up. Hopefully, your mesh set up works well!

    Hey, very nice review! How is the display quality on Quest 3 ? Many people say that the display is grainy and looks like 480p or 720p?
    I want to buy Quest 3 mainly for watching movies and tv shows. Also, how is the 3d movie experience ?

    • @thevrcoach
      @thevrcoach  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks! It's kind of hard to say, it's not as clear as a 1080 monitor but the immersion more than makes up for any disparity in display quality.
      I've only had a bit of experience watching TH-cam 360 videos for yoga and meditation and it was solid! I personally use my Quest mostly for active standing up sports/workout VR games but I know a lot of people enjoy the cinema experience in VR.

    after a lot of research I have 400 saved up and am getting payed Friday, my quest 2 just broke, and I still have all the accessories aka faceplate with vent, headstrap, and batterypack. after a lot of research I think I'm going to just get the 280gb storage quest 2 for a couple reasons. I'm a bit tight on cash and I don't want to rebuy all the accessories. I always played with headphones and now there's no cheap ones that will work wired since they moved the headphones jack to the right side for some reason. I don't doubt that its a better headset, but i already have a psvr2, so I don't really need something that looks great. I just want to replace my quest 2 so I can resume playing with friends and not spend a lot a money. Ill prob save up and wait for the next mainstream headset before making that big leap especially when there are so little improvements other than weight, and visuals.

      A well thought out decision! It does suck having to get all of your upgrades again. Batam and other quest 3 exclusive wont launch till the end of the year, and there's so many great games for quest 2. Especially multiplayer, which is the main reason you're getting it. Enjoy mate!
