These workouts are crazy helpful! I'm busy (as everyone) and I usually don't take the time to do proper strength or mobility workouts, but I still run quite a bit. With these, I can easily do one or two every morning and hopefully stay injury free ^_^
A good exercise for me is running barefoot over the grass in the park nearby where a healthy population of moles has created the perfect surface for training ankles.
Things like this help out a lot. Can't tell you how much. I tore a ligament in my foot a few years ago, 8 months recovery. Was prone to ankle sprain, not since I started strength and balance like this!
Love your approach here! Very simple and not overwhelming. I know this video is from four years ago but I love stumbling upon workouts that are simple yet effective especially in the age of short videos which are short but too many sometimes with different workouts or drills being presented and it can get a bit overwhelming even though it's all well intentioned and informative. Appreciate your video very much!
This ankle strength/mobility workout really does work! A little over a year ago, I stepped off of a small ledge while hiking, and for some reason it over-extended my ankle. Then, this past winter, I rolled my ankles a couple of times on ice, which caused me even more pain, as well as causing the initial injury to flare up again. I figured that I must have initially damaged something in my ankle, so I found this workout and started doing it at least once a week. I am very happy to say that it works! After a year of sensitivity from that hiking incident (which really was super minor, despite it causing so much sensitivity), my ankles feel stronger than ever and don’t have pain anymore! I have also found that when I step on a rock, my ankles don’t just violently roll like they used to. I have a lot more power coming from my feet and ankles, which is not something I have experienced before. I love this workout and think that it is a very overlooked area by many runners and other athletes. I couldn’t recommend it more!
Thank you so much for this workout! Just getting back into running after an ankle sprain - had been rolling my ankles a couple of times on the trails - this will certainly help!!! 💖
as a runner I’ve rolled my ankles so many times but it’s weird they never have hurt me or caused me to stop during a run maybe I’m missing some bones or something 😹
@@ToothlesstheNightFury510 I thought I was the only one like this lol. They’ll just snap violently to one side, and I don’t even break stride haha. Idk if it’s good or bad
I suffer from multiple ankle re-injuries (I could never stick to a good rehab plan) but I keep coming back to this video and my ankles haven’t felt this strong in years and my running feels stronger too! My only slight problem is I feel some soreness/light pain in my metatarsal right under my big toe the day after. Am I putting too much weight on it or is my thin yoga mat not a soft enough surface or do I just get used to it over time?
I have a fully torn ATFL, however there is no pain when I run or practice along with you on this video. Are there other videos you have that would be a catalyst for recovery? Thank you!
Hi Vlad, thanks for your videos, great and easy way to get in some strength work and hugely helpful for me. I was wondering what the difference is between the walking on the sides vs lifting on the sides, why not just do walking twice? Keep up the good work, thanks!

100% is that commitment that will keep you injury free!

I usually do about 3-4k of barefoot running a week, its great for the feet and also for the running form
Vlad we are truly appreciating all your strengthening/mobility trainings for runners - they are class!!
Thank you for your support 🙌

One of the very best I have seen about this topic.
Thanks dude. Sprained my ankle during a mountain 50 miler last week. Will use this as rehab and strengthening. 👊

New trail runner here. Just what I was looking for. Awesome content!
yes to more trails!! make sure you spend some time building strength with consistent strength workouts - it will really pay off on the trails
Brilliant. Right ankle joint has been holding me back for like 8 months now!
stay consistent with it and it will really pay off in few weeks
I've had ankle rolling issues my entire life, hopefully this helps! Thanks!

Love it, stranger!
Strength training without weight is good or is better with weight?
How often ankles' workout should be done? Daily? Four days a week?
Thanks a lot, very useful
Thanks a lot!! :)
You're welcome!
What's your best workout for stronger achilles? Or is this the best one to use?
foot and calf strength workouts will be the best like this one

Keep up the good work, thanks!
it's just a different way of building strength in the ligament on the side of the ankle
Hi sir.. Can I do this working wearing a ankle weights? My right ankle is currently weak and mobility is restricted in right one
Can I do the mobility exercise (second one of the set) without touching my hands on the ground ?
