What are your thoughts on AXOPAR's 28?
It's a sick boat
Even though axopars arent the most reliable lawddd they are a beauty
I think they just invented a new market.
I test drove an Axopar 28 on SF Bay last summer. It drove nice and seemed to be decent quality. It's not a cheap boat, delivery is $30k alone to West coast. A well equipped one was close to 150k out the door. It's NOT setup for fishing. You get rod holders and Garmin MFDs but no livewells. Storage is there but not intended as fish boxes. The walkways on either side of the pilot house are narrow and you have to step down into the pilot house which sucks in rough seas. The ragtop on the pilot house leaks badly. I drove a boat with twin 200's on a typical rough day in the bay and saw high 40's (Knots) with 2 people and a little over 1/2 tank. That was after some trimming. I could buy that for 90k I'd think about it but not at the price they asked.
Yeah, I wonder were the OP got the $90k price. I sea trialed the 28 cabin today at the St. Pete boat show and the sale price was $168,750.

I’d have to say you understate the abilities of the Axopar line. They are all built to handle a significant amount of chop. The big girl 37 can handle the Haulover monster without blinking.
Gdańsk Poland is where these boats were designed to work, and they are based on the local working tender design. The sea state on the Baltic coast tends toward short chop (short period steep waves.) the Ax bow cuts the waves allowing the boat to maintain speed with a relatively flat attitude. It’s not a dry riding boat by any means, but is more capable than many would think.
One glaring reason a lot of Americans don’t think the design is ruff water capable is because it requires a totally different operating technique. They attempt to keep the bow high like one should do with most powerboat hulls. They think that taking a wave over the bow is detrimental, but with an axe bow design it’s exactly what one should expect. The deck is self draining with sealed, latched hatches for this exact reason.

This is a cool boat! I have not tried it on the water but looked at a few at the marina. There is a reason it is built the way it is. It is efficient, light and cuts the water nicely. Perfect boat for the family and does not require a heavy duty truck for towing. A very nice compromise. Not made for offshore fishing.
Never heard of this brand but it looks nice. The affordability is really nice.
The wife part is 100% correct. And the Axopar boats are fantastic. I'd rather have the 37 of course.
Well done video. Tone, tempo, nice delivery. Folks could offer their choice for boat of the year but they couldn’t offer it any better than you did. LMBO my wife won’t let me buy a 28’ center console because there is nowhere for her to kick back and relax. Me spend 200K or more and she’s sitting on a hard ass piece of plastic. Wooot! I’d love it but the attacks would be relentless. I’m digging the Axopar 37XC. Maybe next year.
Looks great. I believe you are right, a lot of users wants the boat for family / fishing. My concern / doubt (since I have not seen it in Spain) is, if it will deal ok with medium / big waves in open sea. It is just a thought. I would go for something like an Everglades, pursuit, or a sportsman, or even scout for fishing/family. The ride on an Everglades is just so solid and they throw in everything u need for fishing, and sportsman is pretty much built the same if not better than name brand boats for half the price
I have a 28 with the 350 verado, it is a great boat even in rough water.

Hi, have seen a few in the Solent ,nice looking but have a look on the Super YATCH CAPTAIN channel ,as I think the build quality is poor they have one as a chase boat .

Just wanted to let u know but their build quality is a lot better then the non-credit that u are giving them!! Their build quality actually ain’t far off of the big name center consoles u said on the beginning of the video! The thing with those other boats is that ur paying for name for the most part. Now if u were to get the Brabus Axopar 37ST then u would be adding paying the name part of it due to the name of Brabus! Just wanted to let u that!!

These Axopars are great !
Axopars are fine but they have fairly low freeboards. If you watch any haulover videos that feature axopars, they always seem to struggle when seas are rough. Also, theyre not very attractive looking in my opinion.
They struggle because the operator doesn’t know how to use the axe bow design. These boats are built for ruff water, but you have to keep the bow down and stay on plane. It’s going to be a wet ride, but the boat was designed to take water over the bow. You cut through the waves as opposed to climbing them.
They are ugly AF to me, also. Lol
And to be far, Haulover chews up some of the best offshore boats when its rippin’, especially when the captain hesitates or shoots the south jetty.

I really like the Axopar 28 cabin. Unfortunately it is too wide to be trailered so it won’t work for me. I’m not renting a slip.

That's a small fuel tank for a pretty big boat.
Check the GPH. Powered correctly, the hull design allows for excellent fuel efficiency at cruise.
So! What are the ISSUES about the build of THIS brand that makes it sound like it is SUBPAR? Just name the top three please.

Everglades, pursuit, sportsman, scout, scout is more of 70%cruise 30% fish, Everglades is a literal tank and plows thru whatever u throw at it, sportsman is built better than all of them without paying the name brand premium.
