We setup a week with Axopar to put its 37' Cross Cabin through the paces.
Taking it to the sandbar, traveling around the Miami river and using it for or CCO Waterfront content days we were really able to see what the Axopar was good for.

As a Florida Boater, whatever is the new thing in Florida, like these big powerful Center Consoles, becomes the big thing nationwide like 15 years later
Probably because down here in the Sunshine state if you have the money. You'll buy a 40 Foot Center Console, bolt 6 450R Outboards to it and build the hull out of Carbon Fiber, and full send it anywhere. People are nuts down here.

I own an old 35 express contender and yes, overnighting is a Wonderfull experience. I trust Axopar can provide a solution for a decent toilet and shower. can't wait to try one of those. seam to be super fuel efficient (of paramount importance for our Caribbean Island hoping). congrats on the review.
Yes you can have a separate head in the forward cabin it negates the L shape couch but you do get a wet head

Been subscribed for a few months now...love the channel. I had a 20 263 Calcutta...awesome boat. Looking for a second boat, a larger DC like 31 Albemarle, 33 SouthPort and 340 Everglades. This Axopar boat is less, and would definitely work. My question how is the ride vs the others and quality is another question. The new design has been well thought out. I like the bar.cooler/grill option with the 3 rear seats.
My father bought one of these, loves it way more than the bigass old school Grady White he had. He went with the Kitchen Option, the grill works great on anything you just caught

@@CenterConsolesOnly Your welcome, for him its way less boat to handle. Less upkeep and fuel, and with me having the first two kids and my sister already having 5 and my brother having one. Its gonna be the perfect fast go have fun boat that you can fish off of to
@@CenterConsolesOnly He also has noticed the same thing you did, its a VERY stable hull. Even in rough weather its solid and spot on. his older Grady 40 footer with the Flying Bridge and seperate pilothouse and bedrooms/blah blah. When they used to stack everything on top was a great boat. But any time it got rough, HANG ON. Also as good as the Cummings in it where, every time ANYTHING broke it was 5 grand or more. They sipped fuel tho. he likes this boat WAY more.
This is a true honest to goodness live-aboard boat. Great review. These types of mono-hulls are now swarming the entire Industry and for obvious reasons. Still I think waiting out the Tesla Model S revolution is the smart play at the moment as the range and power output on these hull designs still could soar quite dramatically for 2022 same said be true of the "cruising market" too but I think most spectacularly in the Center Console market absolutely and right now.
Great job staying on top of this as the Elon Musk "Boring Company" suddenly shows up in Fort Lauderdale as well.
I've been looking at an axopar for awhile. How do you think they would handle the rough weather and seas here in the PNW?? I like going on multi day fishing trips, and it's much easier to just setup in my boat and not have to bother with hotel reservations close to the dock and all that.

Does the AC run on a gen set or is it running off the motors?
It runs on separate battery system. The batteries are charged by the engines. Most systems are able to run 5-8 hours on battery alone.

Where is the head/shower and galley?
Toilet is under a seat cushion in the front cabin. You know why it wasn't shown.
Can spec a compartmented toilet tho

Didn’t show the head under the cabin seat cushion. Love Axopar and want one, but not sure why they would give you a boat without the toilet compartment.
There is an option on that now to make it a separate toilet / head - but why its not standard on a 2 cabin boat is bewildering
@@philself1833 believe it or not this was actually designed to be a chase boat for super yachts so if you have a super yacht you dont need the head

Without the aft cabin option, how would this work for a fishing machine?
They have a summer kitchen option that can be setup as a tackle station with live well.
We have a 37 Suntop that we call the Angler. It has been loaded with fishing gear to include outriggers and a large 45 gallon custom bait tank in the wet bar

Where's the head? Shower? Can you get a tower? Fishing options? You didn't show the live well.
yes for the live well.
There is an option for a wet head between the center console and the forward cabin. You can't get a tower, the only real fishing option I've seen is the roof rod holder, I suppose you could forgo the aft cabin and leave it as an open layout so you can have a fighting chair and fish box installed. Not sure how that fighting chair would work with the outboards though.
@@duncanmackay1215 You can fish off these. My step mom and dad moved to Miami a year ago actually saw one of these at a boat show, and ordered one. Its WAY less boat than his bigass twin Inboad Gady White, I have not seeen it in person. But I chair could fit back he actually went for the wet bar option, so drinky drinky, kitchen modaul, And the shower. In his case Between my sister just having her 5th kid and me having my first. Its more of a family boat, plus the stiff he fish's you generally dont need a chair. For him its a balance between family and fishing. Apprantly the cooker you can get works great for things youve just caught and cleaned
No toilet and shower?
The hull on this boat is amazing .. I have seen many test runs in rough seas and she handles beautifully .. The biggest flaw is the lack of a decent enclosed toilet space with a shower .. Placing the toilet in your main cabin under the sitting cushion is just ridiculous .. its definitely not designed for a over nighter since there is no galley with any of the appliances ... At this price point many other boats offer better features and so definitely not a boat for me ..
You can negate the L shaped couch in the forward cabin and get and enclosed wet head. As for a gally you would have to get rid of the rear cabin but they do offer one

Yes they do. They add higher end finishes to the overall boat.

There doesn’t appear to be a head on this boat, or did I miss it? I saw the sink in the forward cabin, but no head.
There is under one of the cabin seats. Their other models have a small compartment for it.

They have a model that has the shower and head separated.
Love the boat, but the lack of an enclosed head would be a deal-breaker for me and even if I had the money, this particular beauty would not be on my list.
Its an option, you can even add in a whole kitchen modula with an induction stovetop
Enclosed head takes up lotsa space for sure! Nothing wrong with design here. just go into cabin shut door and poop,duh
After being extremely motivated to purchase an axopar 28 then 37. After looking at the quality during showings. It just does not exist. I love Axopar design but they put more money into R&D then quality control that shows immediately. I think someone need to review the brabus 500 and 900. Axopar is a feature rich boat in my opinion not a boat that has nice features.

This boat is complete shit, friend bought one of these and hit a 4ft wave while fishing and the roof cracked in 3 different places
