I had a Toro Personal Pace mower given to me by a guy who was throwing it out because the rear wheel drive (didn't have AWD), had stopped working. Same thing as yours, the gears were worn down; replaced those and it worked fine. Good video!!
I got one of these similar to this, same brand same features awd Self propelled mower the design might be a little different but it’s worked very well for me no issues after almost 3 years cutting And acre and a half back yard
Good video for trouble shooting ,gears and a belt replacement . You did a great job explaining that.👍I seen this in the past , I've put them gears on wrong and it still didn't work a friend request that those gears won't work if they are not on correct.and fixed it, that's on a Honda mower ,some mowers with different brands share the same parts.
Hmm excellent fix. Never knew they had an all wheel drive mower like that. Great diagnosis and you will get it fixed in due time. Thanks for the video.
At the start of this video you show a mower with the carb exposed. I have a 55R21HVD that will start and immediately die. When I pull back the carb arm right next to your thumb it opens the carb and lets more gas in. I think there is suppose to be a linkage part that goes in that little hole and attached to the air filter bracket or maybe it is a spring. Any thoughts
Do you have a video on how to replace just the axle where the wheel slides into? I snapped the bolt trying to loosen it, but it was too rusted out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
These husqvarnas have a plastic inner gear track that the wheels ride on. Usually this is the failure point. It's designed to wear out alongside the treadlife. You can get another 6 months out of those wheels by removing the inner metal race, cut back the plastic so that it rides on the intact part of the wheel(s) track. Order a new set of wheels to replace once your metal gears wear out the remaining 1/4 inch that was left on the inner wheels...
Is there a way to disengage the AWD gears on both axles and have the mower work like an old fashion “push” mower? Before I junk it, I’d thought I’d give it a try. I’ll never purchase another Husqvarna! Every year cost me $150 to repair.
You may want to replace the wheal bushings at the same time looks like they may ware out just as fast as the gears I like them front wheel drive better also because you can slip them wen you make square corners I think you will be chasing that problem for a long time thank you for the video good luck
If you check, you will see that your axle bearings on the rear axle are shot so they can't hold the pinion to spur gear on the wheel tight enough to mesh correctly. This caused accelerated wear until they started stripping out. Order Husqvarna-587070202 or the cheaper after-market ones to replace the old bearings. If you don't, fix the slop in your axle bearings it will just end up stripping out the new pinions again due to poor pinion gear mesh.
I have this same mower i found in bulk pickup. The previous owner tried to put a gator blade upside down and stripped the bolt. Can you provide me with the dimensions specs for the correct size as I believe its too small Thank You
when you replaced the front gear you flipped it over and put the worm edge against the carriage I think thats why you didnt loose the drive in left front wheel
How can I get a hold of you ,I have a craftsman lawn mower that need some work . Am in Dallas but would drive to where you are at just to get it fixed .
I bet you could use new bearings to because they were out and then it gets further away from the gear which lets it slip by the and make the gear worn more or buy four new bearings
Can the rear wheel drive gears ⚙️ be turned over to get a better grip? If you flip them, it will be driving from the opposite side of the teeth, where there will be more bite. 😮 7:32

Could the gears be turned around so the worn part is on opposite end?

You can take the gears off of each wheel. Take the wheel of and remove the small gear.

Really? Thank you! I’ll give it a try tomorrow.
Looks like that cable adjuster is just a fancy turnbuckle. 😮
Merci pour la video
I have one of these with the whole back end out. I have to piece together videos to get it back together
Thank you so much it helps all lot.
I'm glad it helped you!

So when you spin the axle the wheels should move also?

Thank you well done
No problem 👍
Huge help, thank you!
They make that stuff to wear out quickly so most people just go buy a new mower.
Rear drive only is plenty good enough for me.
I've heard, if you run a mower without it's cutting blade, you stand the chance the motor reversing it's direction and majorly damage the motor.
Well! You know what they say about if don't you? If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle! 🤣

The rear gear assembly is like a gold mine price 😢😢😢

Yea I’ve done that, it will only last a short while due to the small area that is gripping the gear.
Just flip the gears.
Not possible due to the cuts in the inside of gear for the ratcheting mechanism. Each side is different.
