this is absolute Beauty craftsmanship and power hard to come by these days I can really appreciate your attention to your wire management your shifter with the clutch on it 500 cc's of raw power your dual exhaust pipes it's all just love
If you could attach some blades underneath it, it would double as a truly badass lawnmower as well! A very nice piece of engineering and it looks like a great deal of fun!
i just finished putting a 1976 cb 500 on a 1973 dune cat 3 wheeler. amazing wheeles. needs a wheelie bar. got it up to 90.i almost shit my pants. it's wicked fast
just saw your vid, nice build--- just finished mine , not tested yet , all aluminum chassis ( I'm a welder by trade) with a 2004 kawasaki 250 ninja motor.. wish I had a place to test and/or drive like you have , that is a great plus
So dope. Happy to see this video finally uploaded. It's been a long wait to see the finished project but it was worth it. If you ever sell this thing, let me know.
That was kool! luv the straight pipes barking and the angry neighbors doing the same thing! Check my neighborhood noise makers out too! Fast N Loud! Nice!
Im crying knowing ill never have a go in that and its killing me knowing its oyt there but out of bounds abd im not ever going to experience that when i want to so badly. New sub with respects
Awesome build man! Just curious if you had to jet your carbs for running open header like that? Just got finished converting a old CB500 4cyl to straight pipe exhaust and it had a weak boggy pedal, went up 10# sizes on the mains from #100 to a #110 and it made a whole world of a difference in every aspect! Just curious what you did on yours?? It sounds pretty damn healthy, yours I mean, that's why I'm asking ya if you had to make any changes to your carbs without any air box/filters and open exhaust. Otherwise absolutely sweet ride my man, I'm building a shifter golf cart actually.
Marc Dinsmore as long as you’re not a pussy about it lol. Honestly not that bad at all though. Although the exhaust pipes reminded me that they are hot a few times, getting out of this thing without burning your leg can be a challenge
Bet your neighbors love the lack of mufflers... Nice work though. After getting mufflers, perhaps a heat shield on the engine so you don't cook your arm.
Why like a 36 inch wheelbase on a chassis / engine that can go 70 mph? If to go around trees on the grass with street tires a 5hp b&s can do that about as fast. To go fast on the street it looks like with the short wheelbase it would be twitchy and lower the overall handling speed. To be clear I don't know. So just asking to understand. Thanks.
Tom Open I did it just to see what would happen, and for the most part your suspicions are true. If I were to do it all over again I would stretch the frame for sure
Geoffrey Freeland thankfully my arm is burn free, but I’ve bumped my leg on the hot ass exhaust pipe twice getting out of it! Learned the hard way that I need to wear jeans when I ride this thing hahah
What motor did you use for this build. Looking for a used frame or gonna build one but biggest road block is finding a motor. Any ideas, website for motors would be great.
Nice "build"..... but, you need "more sprocket"... the ratio is too high, revving.. but no speed.... unless, you're after the torque factor, but on a light weight Kart like that, the engine can definitely handle a lot more speed gearing, and still have lots of "grunt". Is that engine from the "old" Honda 305 Super Hawk of the late 1960s / early 1970s ??
I’ll say yes to the air filter, however I’ll disagree on the gearing. It’s perfect right where it’s at. Pulls hard as hell up to top speed, and it’s still got a decent top end

I LOVE IT DUDE. GAVE ME MORE MOTIVATION TO WORK ON MY RIMO KART IM PUTTING A 125CC 4 SPEED ON IT.
Very nice dude . Youve come so far since the 1st build i watched from years ago. Thats great.
Reminds me of this guy near me,, he put a 750 Kawasaki ,2 stroke H2 motor on a cart- CRAZY ! Yours looks more fun!!!
That new mad max vehicle looks fucking awesome.
That is one powerful lawnmower
I bet your neighbors love you.
So dope. Happy to see this video finally uploaded. It's been a long wait to see the finished project but it was worth it. If you ever sell this thing, let me know.
Gee! If it only had a spinning blade underneath it, I could mow the lawn as well! I'll bet it's blast to drive it!
that thing sounds beautiful
Great job on the kart mate. Very cool. This is on my to do list.
get on it man! that motor should easily rev to 8000+
Nice that thing is sick !!! You did an awesome job man !!!
Hey great build!!, this is the sound your neighbours secretley yearn to hear!!!
Eddie Caplan lol I wish that were the case!
Holy shit I love it! I completely support the idea of it can only be fun if it's dangerous 😂😂
Get to see this baby running finally .
Amazing build you made there !
You have to have REALLY cool neighbors!
I bet the neighbours love 💖 it too 😎
That was kool! luv the straight pipes barking and the angry neighbors doing the same thing! Check my neighborhood noise makers out too! Fast N Loud! Nice!
I bet your neighbors just love you
Bet the neighbors love you 😁 - nice build
Im crying knowing ill never have a go in that and its killing me knowing its oyt there but out of bounds abd im not ever going to experience that when i want to so badly. New sub with respects
Looks like hes got johnny 5 as passenger!
Damn . the engine on that thing . Cool
I love rural America, where you can build it and run it on the road and no one cares!
Awesome kart man.
so amazing. i would do it too if i had the space to drive it in
Top speed? AWSOME kart
About 60 mph, could easily be geared to go faster
Awesome build man! Just curious if you had to jet your carbs for running open header like that? You can change the sprocket to go a little faster. I know those old twins can hit 110
Damn dude nice job what do you think the top speed is?
when is the 2 speed shifter riding vid coming up?
probaly 80 kmh
If I really wind it out it will do 70mph. Can be geared to go much faster but I'm all about that low end torque
Hell yea, the pull is better than the speed
As if 70 isn't fast enough on that thing :P
Nice build! I would be too afraid to figure out how fast it can go.
DrBill a different speed than this gokart because it's geared differently and weighs different.
put some air filters on them carbs
rip888 I know I know I'm getting there
ok nice rig tho
Same thing I was thinking. Good way to destroy the compression on a great toy after all the work.
I'm more concerned that his LR and RF tires aren't fully beaded up.
@@bignickthegreat try some sort of mufflers, keep neighbours from calling the cops.
Neighbors must be impressed. Mufflers would likely be a plus.
Nice job
Reminds me of a 60's Formula One car.
Mantap bang , saya juga lagi bikin mini buggy 🙂🙏👍
This is all well and good until you have to live next door to this dude.
I would gladly live next door...as long as I get a ride every now and again
I’d love to be his neighbor. We’d be best friends.
Nice 👍 it sounds awesome 😎
Oh please put some reverse cones on that BABY!
Nice work!! That thing is bonkers! You should find a deserted airfield or something and do a top speed run.
Kiran Digavalli due to the tiny tires, I'm betting it's slower up top than an average shifter cart.
neighbors must love you.......
Rapid springs to mind!
That was AWESOME!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I bet your neighbors love you LOL
i bet your neighbors love you!!!!
very nice nick
peter morrison thanks!
Deathtrap? More like best lap! Let me on it!
Jesus! I'm saddened I haven't rode this beast :( nice video brotha! Didn't know you were still making them til I saw your page pop up on Facebook haha
looks like a fun ride to me cool
Superb bro
OUTSTANDING.
Jeez Nick. That thing looks fun! How toasty does your left side get once it's warm?
Marc Dinsmore as long as you’re not a pussy about it lol. Honestly not that bad at all though. Although the exhaust pipes reminded me that they are hot a few times, getting out of this thing without burning your leg can be a challenge

Guess who just scored a kart and has a 650cc Ninja 2 cylinder fuel injected 70 horsepower motor fixing to get crazy
good life insurance for some reason comes to mind:-)
Love the hand clutch, how many burns do you have on your arm?
Geoffrey Freeland thankfully my arm is burn free, but I’ve bumped my leg on the hot ass exhaust pipe twice getting out of it! Learned the hard way that I need to wear jeans when I ride this thing hahah
damn if I could think of a better way to that your yard!!😂🤣 good shit bro👍👍😃
Thanks man 👍
PUT A AIRFILTER ON IT!!!!!!!
But stil super cool!!
just curious. how much does the engine weight and your weight compare? Nice engineering!
Time to build one myself lol
What motor did you use for this build. Looking for a used frame or gonna build one but biggest road block is finding a motor. Any ideas, website for motors would be great.
Look on Facebook marketplace for sure. That’s where everyone is selling stuff. This engine came from a Honda cb500t motorcycle
Needs much taller gearing to allow shifting that transmission worthwhile
What engine is this? Sounds awesome...
Aris Vezos Honda CB500T!
My wife would beat me over that grass! Lol
freaking finally
Looks like a Margay (Concept) frame? Crazy fun!

damn it sounds soo nice
Holy shit! Epic !
2cycle shifter karts run over 140 mph on track .
I guess you can throw away your lawn mower :D
Dough brains do donuts
Hey really like your vids. Just one question, where did you get your transmission from in the old shifter cart.
thank you
EagleGaming they are usually found in small riding mowers. It’s a peerless 700 model transmission
thankyou
I am currently in the process of swapping a honda vt500 on to a 150cc go kart
Obviously that thing is way waaaay too dangerous for you! I'm gonna' send you my address so you can drop it off at my house.
nah fam you only want that basoab for your own enjoyment
bignickthegreat at least put a small aftermarket mufler on it, sometimes it sounds like poppin popcorn
microsoft service nope, straightpipe is how I roll 👍
fk bro thats too dangerious , That engine is just going to throw your whole cart into pieces !
No One nah fam, it’s all good! I’ve thrashed it since then and it’s all still in one piece 👍
It looked blah until you slammed the throttle. What is that motor?
Exotic Creature cb500t! Runs great
This is so fye
How you build or where'd you buy the shifter? The whole transmission I mean...
can you give me any more details to this build and where you got the Honda cb500t engine? also how many gears does it shift to?
LeGusBus its a 5 speed, and 90% of the junk I have ever owned has came from Craigslist so keep a close eye there
How fast will it run
License? Insurance? Registration? Inspection? Lights?
antty zale all of the nopes! This thing is super not road legal
You're nuts! Neighbors shot at you yet? Old cb500 engine?
Mowing the lawn
Did you put this on Craigslist in Pittsburgh pa cause I think I sawIt
Jesse Sommer yep it’s for sale. Time to move onto bigger and better things!
Price
Jesse Sommer 800
Awesome!
When I saw the words " Kart" and " death" , you have to watch .
Probably should have some air filters.
how much did everything cost you at the end of all this??
Alex Kaspo about 600 to get it started, and then another 200 to make it reliable haha
that looks like Anytown Pennsylvania
I love it toooooo much
need to put air filters on it and gear it up more put a bigger front sproket on it
I’ll say yes to the air filter, however I’ll disagree on the gearing. It’s perfect right where it’s at. Pulls hard as hell up to top speed, and it’s still got a decent top end
0:18 Is that a motorcycle engine? 3:38 You could cut the grass with that thing in no time! :-) Looks like great fun!
pretty cool but needs more power !!
