I was exactly like Liziqi when I was young, living in south Viet Nam. I cooked for my whole poor family everyday at age 12. We did not have a big beautiful land like Liziqi; my single mom had a small house and I was cooking, cleaning every day before and after school. I am now living in the US (Irvine) and became a Registered Nurse for many years. I now have my own a house and a beautiful garden my own. Life was very struggled for us in south VN. Liziqi's videos reminded of how my life was back in VN. Bittersweet!!!

I'm from China I used to cook for the whole family every day when I was 10 years old :) Also cleaning etc. I studied very hard in school and now I'm a professor in the US. I miss the good old days of simple life.

My mother told me that she cooked for the whole family when she was 3 years old at same time she carried her sister at back. I was shocked, don't know true or not.
But my cousin cooked since primary school for whole family, including buying vegetables, meats, etc. I went together with her to the free market, saw she never bargained at all, I asked why, she told me, she knows the price. I stood beside her when she was cooking, at that time, I didn't even know how to switch off the gas when she asked me, then I almost burnt her face. She was died below 20 in Japan because of an accident. She was delivering newspaper in the early morning, and a drunk driver crashed on her.
I was in City of Chengdu, I know people in countryside can do much more than us when they were young.

Epiphyllum oxypetalum or Queen of the Night . A flower that actually blooms in respond to moonlight and one of the rarest flowers the world. And yes, she is cooking it🤯

Nah that flower is not that rare, it's hard to get many flower as in the video though. I'm asian in our country they say if that flower blossom in midnight of Luna New Year, you'll have luck in the whole year after. And so many people have a tree in their home waiting for it to blossom. However mine family didnt have a single flower in 2 years. Lmao
Yeah, that flower. Its not really rare,but it blooms rarely i think. And has a divine smell, but our village saying goes that it attracts Cobras, (or the ancient shape-shifting cobras who come here to pick them and offer them to Budhdha in worship.) So no one would actually think of eating it 😂

05:24 I love that plant. It's called Epiphyllum Oxypetalum, otherwise called as Queen of the night. Cause the flower only open at night and just for one night only. My grandfather also used the flower in a soup. Also you can propagate the plant if one branch break or you can simply snap one branch and plant it.
