So true! I'm a retired teacher and as I was watching this, I couldn't help but create a science lesson for fifth graders in my head about capillary action and how to use that scientific principle in every day life through trying to revive markers.
What is the best way to refill ink with the Crayola Refill Marker. I know you can buy the Marker maker refill Pack. But can you refill again and again?
@@JennysCrayonCollection hey I had tried it with water my mark is water based pigment inked but it just made it more dry and I can’t even use it , very faint ink is coming . Do u have any solutions ? (I am using the tombow fudenosuke)
Helpful tutorial! Doesn't Crayola have a recycle program where you can send in empty markers? Last I checked, I saw they will even take markers from other brands.
@@JennysCrayonCollection Yeah, last I checked, they would even pay for your shipping label. But I’m assuming it’s probably US only. Still, I think it’s a good idea to recycle where we can!
As a teacher , I pretty enjoyed this video ❤, thank You !
Crayola stopped their marker recycling program in 2017, I believe. Wasn't a sustainable option for them, unfortunately.
If you've ever watched a 17-minute video on reviving a marker, you're probably a teacher.
Frugal parent 🙋♀️

We tested capillary action by putting celery in colored water and watching it suck up day by day 😊
In primary school
Thanks! I love your tips and your swatches!!
Jenny will this also work for Paper Mate pens?
I think so!
What liquid did you use
Water for water based and rubbing alcohol for others.

Omg this was SOOOOOOO helpful! Thank you so much! 😅
So do we have to keep pouring water on the marker as we use it?
Oh no just that once. If it doesn’t work after that the ink is probably out.

Thanks. It’s great that Crayola does that. I don’t know if other brands but that’d be cool if it was.

It's called the ColorCycle Program. It is currently on hold due to the corona virus.
Interesting.
Crayola no longer offering their recycle program
