- It was fun making markers with my Crayola Marker Maker Set! I decided to match the colors they suggested for my first time.

Lucky Penny Thoughts: This is a fun maker set. Being able to make your own markers and create your own colors is really cool. The markers work great and I used them after the video. I ended up making a lot more markers later with the kids. We still have them! If you like to create your own colors and also create something that is useful, then you will really enjoy this set.

Have fun! We just did the rest of the markers a few days ago. We also named them all and decorated the boxes. So we have 16 colorful markers :) I would probably get some of the refill kits for future projects.

hi yes update similar to the comments section, watched this exact video as a kid and I just bought the updated set and it came in the post today. I'm a young and depressed adult so this is giving me positive nostalgia.
i bought my own food colouring and mixed it with water and used it to mix with the other colours and that worked too

that way you'll be making edible markers to write on cookies, for example, good idea!

That's true - but would be better to use vodka than water, if you're planning to use them to write on cookies or frosting, or fondant... as the vodka evaporates faster, and leaves the colour behind, whereas water tends to sink in and make your frosting sticky - especially if you're writing on fondant.

Actually in order for the ink to rise up to the tip the cap has to be on so that the ink doesnt dry.....

I’m 13 now and I gotta say, these videos were most of my childhood before I started going to school.
I will never forget these videos bro they’re still so entertaining
i remeber i made a crayon over at my friends house with some other Crayola maker set thing.anyways i brought it to school oneday and it was REALLY hot so later on i was on the bus and it was even hotter.i decided to take my crayon out and look at.then i realized it was cold and decided to put it up agents my lips.well then a kid who was the oldest on the bus came by and said *"get that out off mouth!"* and i just kept it on my lips and looked at her with a look as if i was saying *get the heck away from my crayon* and then she screamed *"(our bus drivers name) SOMEONES EATING A CRAYON!"* the bus driver reply's *"TAKE IT AWAY FROM HER"* so she reaches in to grab the crayon and i yank away then she keeps trying to grab it and by this point i'm almost in tears.she finally takes it away and brings it up to the bus driver.....and i am in tears.then i go up to the driver and say *"can i have my crayon back...please..."* now note im in tears and......sometimes its hard to talk like that but all this bus driver says is*"go sit down! im giving this back to the school were you got it from"* was REALLY confused and i started saying "but i made that cray" and she yells *"DO YOU WANT TO GO TO THE OFFICE?!!?I CAN TURN THIS BUS AROUND RIGHT NOW YOU KNOW"* so iwent and sat down and never saw the crayon again :(

So funny I watch this video and then a few months later I found somewhat different of a Crayola marker maker set wasn’t as elaborate but we could make 16 markers and had a lot of fun. Thanks for the tutorial we love Crayola

12:30--shouldn't you place the assembled marker nib down so the ink has a chance to flow to the nib?

The red one is better, there's the blue one and the red one, I got the red one. It brings additional coloring tubes so you can color in different fonts, such as zig zags,swirls and such. It's the exact same prize as the blue one, I recommend the red one 110% you get more for your money ;)
